Oh Sloopy's how I love thee. Your pizza is legendary and the very thought of eating some makes me think of summers spent vacationing in Lakeside.
The pizza is great. I tend to get a large pizza with pepperoni which I share with my cousins aka my best Lakeside buds and a giant pitcher of root beer. We usually go for lunch because dinner is a time for the whole extended family to get together and talk about the days activities.
I love the decore of Sloopy's. It is decorated in college and pro sports team pennants. I'm proud that my college pennant hangs inside. I was able to take friends from college to visit Sloopy's for lunch one day when we were working at Cedar Point for a fundraiser.
Sloopy's also delivers which is awesome. If you are within the Lakeside boundaries they delivery people ride bikes which is super unique and cool! -

Sloopy's is an essential stop in Lakeside. On my most recent visit, we dined in. I shared the 9" Mexican-style pizza for lunch. I was very impressed by the deep-dish dough's flavor and texture. The toppings were yummy. Service good, prompt, prices reasonable. They offer a discount if you pay cash. Parking downtown can be tricky- it's best to walk. The air-conditioning was welcome on a hot August day. A great alternative-take yiur pizza to the dock or Hotel Lakeside porch!

Neat little pizzeria inside the Lakeside gates. Ownership has been a previous member of the US pizza team and won a bunch of awards for its homemade sauce.
The basic pizza itself was good, though I liked the buffalo wing pizza better. The actual wings themselves are only OK, though the salads are terrific. -

Great pizza shop. They get SUPER busy every night during the summer, as you might imagine. The food is really pretty good and the shop itself is pretty unique. Location is really great. They have been really great to my family who live in the area when we do get togethers there.
