Went on NYE..Had a Spa Finder Certificate so found them on the Spa Finder website. Carrie is wonderful! I had a facial/massage combo with lavender aromatherapy. Carrie took her time and explained everything that I would experience. I am big chested and generally when I lay down on a massage table, I squash my boobs but Carrie had this neat trick of putting a towel under my neck to relieve the pressure. It made the experience even more comfortable. Embarrassingly enough, she relxed me so much that I caught myself snoring. I would go back to Carrie on a regular basis. She is so worth it!

Went for a Brazilian and won't be coming back for that service, very slow wax job and she missed a bunch of spots! The spa is very nice looking but was not the best wax job I have had.

Carrie is so sweet, patient and very welcoming. I was nervous since it was my first massage ever. I did my research before coming here and read most of the great reviews and all are true. Carrie was kind enough to explain the whole process so I wouldn't feel too nervous. The spa itself made me feel at home and made me feel more relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely return.

I love coming to Carrie for her swedish massages. She is so sweet and always makes me feel at home and relaxed. The spa spa itself looks like it's a house, and it can be a bit tricky to find if there are a lot of cars parked on the street and your eyes aren't looking for the sign, so be aware.
When you walk into the "house", you're greeted with all sorts of warm scents and quiet music in the background. It's a little creaky when you walk around, but I think that adds to the charm. The room Carrie uses is super dark and warm, which I love. She always has the bed warmers on when I get there so it's nice and toasty when it's massage time.
I definitely recommend this spa if you're looking for a reasonably priced massage. Thank you, Carrie! -

It was wonderful.. the lady who did my faical (forgot her name) she went over everything she was going to do.. and what she was putting on my face and how it works.. I thought that this was a plus.. I absolutely love this place! I came last weekend for a brazilian and a tummy mask before a weekend getaway with my guy and Carrie did not disappoint! She is the type of person where after 5 minutes you just open up like a book and feel as though you've known her forever!
She made me feel relaxed and calm through the wax and the tummy mask was amazing! After a closer inspection of my wax the next day i noticed there was a hidden spot she missed during the wax and i called for a clean up - she got me right in the next day!
I highly recommend this spa you'll love the services and LOVE carrie! -

Yes this place is a Slice of Heaven!! I got a gift certificate from my brother and sister in law for this place so decided to get a Swedish massage for 50 minutes. The place is in downtown Willow Glen in a cute little house so you have to go park on the street but there is plenty of parking. As you walk Carrie has relaxing music and tons of different scents everywhere and antiques. She offers you a cup a tea before your session. The room you go to is super dark but so relaxing with scented candles everywhere!! She does bed warmers, your entire body, face, hot stones, etc. She also lays you in warms towels so you feel calm at the end. She was so easy to work with and the time just flew by but at the end I was like a wet noodle! I totally recommend her for a massage!! She has other services as well: waxing, facials, etc. I need to go back and try out a facial!

We had some spa finder gift certificates and I figured that I could use some de-stressing the day before my wedding. My mom, sister and I planned a girl date and all went together.
I will say that being a smaller business it was a little bit of a hassle getting everything together for 3 people. My mom wanted a facial, I wanted a facial and a massage and they were able to accommodate us. My sister wanted both a facial and a massage also and unfortunately they were only able to provide the massage. But that was really the only down side to the day.
It was my first facial and I loved that Carrie was willing to talk me through the different things that she was doing, as I am a very inquisitive person and fascinated by all that stuff. And I loved the fluidity of the massage and facial, which seemed like one luxuriously long process rather than 2 separate events.
All in all I would definitely come back here given the opportunity. It was definitely what I needed right before the big day. -

I had a Spa Finder gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket, so I scheduled a Fields of Lavender massage/facial combo. I left feeling very relaxed, and my face literally glowed. What more could you want from a quick spa visit? :)
The spa itself is cozy and intimate, with hot tea and soothing music waiting for you in the lobby/shop area. Carrie is extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable in her treatments, and she was more than flexible when I told her that I don't really like the smell of lavender all that much (I know, I know). She made a point not to rush me through my session, and did and excellent job of communicating what was going on without disrupting the relaxing vibe. You really can't beat this kind of pampering for the price. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Of note: Carrie had a fairly gentle touch with increasing firmness as the massage progressed. This worked well for me since I was sore from a recent workout, but I know a lot of people who prefer a "deep tissue death massage". You might want to discuss it with her beforehand if you prefer more pressure. -

I received a gift certificate for Christmas from my daughter. She said she had read the reviews and also the spa had been recommended to her. So I went expecting great service and a great massage. I got much much more than I expected. Carrie is amazing! Who would have thought that such a petite thing could have such strength in those hands. One of the best massages ever. I will recommend her again and again. I will definitely go back.

I had my first full body massage here and it was fantastic. I've been to other massage/spas after and this one is definitely on top.
I was really sore in my back from working out so my gf took me to this place. Its a really cozy place and once you step in it's like stepping into bath and body works...smells refreshing and soothing. They have calm music playing in the background which initially starts to relax you.
Inside the massage room there's definitely some aroma therapy, maybe eucalyptus flowing threw the air. The table was so comfortable with sheets and a blanket that were so soft I wanted to sleep in it forever. Carrie took care of me and knew exactly where to focus on.
It was one of the most relaxing and stress relieving hour of my life. If you need to destress, come to Slice of Heaven and visit Carrie. -

Feeling the urge to pamper myself after a hectic schedule of work and traveling between coasts, I made an appointment for a Hot & Cold Stone Eucalyptus Body Treatment and Foot Therapy. It was just what I needed.
The spa is located in a small cottage tucked behind a busy road, like a little hide-a-way retreat. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly Nichole who immediately made me feel at home by graciously offering me some tea. The spa rooms were nicely decorated with soothing scented candles and personal antiques. Nicole worked her magic on my body with her hands and alternating hot and cold stones. Next she wrapped me in warm towels and a layer of eucalyptus leaves, which had a very calming effect. She then turned her attention to my head and feet and gave the most amazing scalp massage.
I left the spa feeling so refreshed and relaxed... I was in La-La Land! If I had to fathom what it's like to spend a few hours in heaven, I'd bet this comes close! I'm going back this week for a facial and to re-experience a slice of heaven on earth. -

My friend got me a spa gift certificate good for the 'Lavender Fields' package($145.00). The package included:
- 45 mins. Swedish massage
- 45 mins. custom facial
- Moisturizing hand treatment
I came in and filled out a small form. I noted that my problem areas were mainly my shoulders and lower back. Carrie walked me into the room and explained how to get started and where to place my clothes after I undressed. Moments later, she came back in and walked me through every step that she was going to do. I've had massages before but never a FULL body massage, so I was pretty excited. The ambiance, like most spas, was very relaxing and just sets the mood and mind at ease. I was hoping to just lay there, have my body melt and was expecting an out of this world experience, wake up, and forget where I was at. I mean, the heat packs felt good, but I didn't feel that her hands were on my body all that much. When Carrie asked me to turn my body around, in my head, I was thinking..."Uhh, that was it?" My legs and buttocks felt great as she applied pressure, but my shoulders and lower back barely got any love. I'm not exactly sure what a Swedish massage is, but if it was what I received, I now know what not to get.
Now, the funny thing is, I've never had a facial before. I didn't know what to expect or had much to say since I didn't have a previous experience to compare it with. Carrie actually surprised me with this one. When your eyes are closed, it always nice to be walked through everything that is being done to you, because who knows what really goes on, right? I enjoyed my facial and thought she did a fantastic job. My skin felt smooth like a baby's butt and fresh like a Summer's day.
As I was checking out, Carrie had a bottle of water and a mint ready for me. Great service. Overall, my visit was good, but it could've been better. -

I just had my first Brazilian wax here. This was about as painless as it can get. Again, she explains what she's doing every step of the way, and takes every measure possible to minimize discomfort and any side effects that may come later. She put this aloe lotion on after to minimize irritation, and also rolled this "cooling ball" over the waxed area, and it felt *so* good. She even gave me an exfoliating glove for free! :) Plus a free snack size water and Snickers (how did she know it's my fave?)! I am fully convinced that Carrie is the best in the Bay Area, and I will go nowhere else for my spa needs. Her prices are reasonable too.

Carrie is wonderful! I had a brazilian with her since I had a certificate from Plum District. She was really nice in letting me know step-by-step what she was going to be doing. She helped me understand the waxes she would be using. It's ingenious that she uses two different waxes. One for coarser hair and one for overall. Her movements were swift and quick. I love that she make every step comfortable, even gave me pillows for my legs to rest on! I love her waxing room. The ambiance is so nice and the waxing bed was so comfortable to lay on! Throughout, we were talking about different things and she was so easy to talk to and fun. At the end, Carrie made sure to remember to give me an exfoliating mit for ingrowns, which I had mentioned to her free of charge! I had a great experience here! Definitely a slice of heaven. Can't wait to try out her massages and facials!

I have been to a handful of day spas and by far this place is the best. I have never been so relaxed! I actually feel asleep for my facial/massage and that has never happen to me before. Carrie was the one who helped me with my treatment and she was awesome! I absolutely can not wait to go back.

My boyfriend surprised me yesterday for my birthday with the 45 min Swedish massage and facial. I've only been to one other spa before and it was affiliated with a fancy hotel so it had a hot tub, showers, complimentary food, etc. I can tell you now that Slice of Heaven doesn't have all the extra amenities, which is understandable because it's a much smaller business, BUT I had a better experience here than the fancy pants one!
Carrie was really sweet and professional and she did such a wonderful job working at the tension in my back and shoulders. I usually like to talk during spa/salon time and our conversation wasn't forced at all. She was so personable and told me ways of stretching that would help with a lot of my muscle tension.
Plus I've never had a facial before because I have extremely sensitive skin and eczema, meaning certain products are a no-no, but the facial here gave me no bad reaction! Carrie also made sure that we talked about all of my concerns and questions prior to starting the appointment which left me more at ease. So now I know that I actually can get facials and if I'm going to get another one, I'm coming back here!
Definitely one of the best birthday presents I've ever had. Thanks to my boyfriend and thanks to Carrie for making my birthday extra special. -

Larry got me a Slice of Heaven Day Spa gift certificate for my birthday. I was really excited and nervous at the same time. I got a facial before with a friend at Great Mall and it was such a horrible experience. My face came out red and it was very unpleasant.
Slice of Heaven is located on a somewhat busy street. There's very few parking in the back. The house is so cute and cozy. I love the atmosphere. Each room is different. Carrie is the best! She's so friendly. She walked through everything she was going to do step by step. I got to be in the red room and wow...so relaxing! I got my back and legs massaged and my hands and feet were in wax. It felt so good especially the facial. I wish I could stay in there forever. The music was nice and calming, and the heating pads felt good along my back.
I can't wait to go back! -

My fiance and I received Spafinder Gift Certificates from our friends as an engagement gift. I had never heard of this place but am thankful for Yelp's great reviews! I called and left a message. My first thought was, great, I probably won't hear from this place. Wrong! The owner, Carrie, called me back quickly - within 10 minutes! I was able to schedule a last minute appointment for the next day for the two of us.
The location was also a plus, as we live within a few miles. I was a little skeptical at first - the place is a house converted into a Day Spa. I was *very* pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere. We opened the front door and the living room is the lobby - decorated very nicely, very clean with pleasant scents. We were immediately greeted by the owner, Carrie. She was very nice and I loved the fact that she didn't try to sell products - I didn't feel any pressure during my stay. My fiance and I had wonderful massages. I loved the stones and shoulder heating pads. The little things came a long way for me - a spritz, a warm towel for my legs as she worked on my back & shoulders. The bed was heated, too. It was a great experience and I will gladly be back! -

I have gone to Carrie a couple of times now. Each time I get the massage called "7th Heaven (Scalp, Neck, Back & Shoulders) ". This is the best day spa I have ever been to. Its a very small business and Carrie does all of the work. She is very sweet and remembers her customers even if its been a long time in between your appointments. My back and shoulder felt great afterward. I highly recommend Slice of Heaven Day Spa.

I've been a couple times to Slice of Heaven Day Spa with Carrie for different services. First, I went for the infrared body detox-which was very relaxing. You will lay in this very warm blanket after she rubs a clay mask thing on your body. It was very comfortable and nice to feel so warm during the winter, and then it heated up quite a bit the last 10 minutes. It wasn't too uncomfortable as I knew part of the detox is to sweat out toxins. I found the wrap to be very relaxing and I did lose about 3 pounds during the 45 minutes.
This last time I went for a massage, which was awesome too! I am a pretty ticklish person, but Carrie is great! The room and check-in room are so cute and serene you feel calmer from the moment you step inside.
I highly recommend visiting Slice of Heaven! -

I have never had a professional facial or massage before but have always wanted to give this a try. I decided on Slice of Heaven after some research on local spas because of the great reviews it got on Yelp. I was not disappointed--even before I had booked an appointment, I emailed questions to Carrie, who was prompt and super helpful. I ended up booking for four people, and the service is top-notch. Carrie called me to remind me of the appointment, put together a surprise spa basket to raffle off for our "Girls' Day Out," locked down the place for this "private party," and had munchies prepared in the waiting area.
The massage was awesome, and the hot towels really relaxed my muscles. Throughout the session, Carrie was so nice and professional that it put us all at ease. I highly recommend this place for first-time spa goers who may be nervous or unsure, and I look forward to coming back! -

I was treated for my birthday to this fabulous spa! They were very helpful and got back to us within the same day! The owner was very friendly. I had the lavender package and it was amazing, but it got a little too hot with all the heated towels and steam on my face! I did start feeling uncomfortable, but Carrie made sure to make the necessary adjustments. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they turned out good. I would definitely recommend this spa to my friends!

I received a massage gift certificate and decided to try out Slice of Heaven Day Spa because of the great reviews it received, albeit only two. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it started off great with my first conversation with Carrie. I had left a message and she called me back within a couple of minutes. Definitely great customer service!
This is a quaint little house-turned spa on Lincoln Ave. The ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming. We were greeted with a cozy reception area, complete with fireplace and hot tea. Next we were brought to our rooms which was nicely decorated, the perfect setting for our pampering sessions. Carrie and Suzanne were our massage therapists and we were both very pleased with our massages. I felt relaxed for hours afterwards!
The only downfall was the tiny parking lot (4 spaces), but we were able to find street parking after a drive around the block.
Definitely a place I woud go to again. I think I'll try the facial next time... -

I planned a spa day for my friend who is getting married and we had the best time at Slice of Heaven. Carrie helped me plan the day and made organizing and paying for 9 treatments so easy! It was great. She took time to make the day personal for us and even sent the bride-to-be home with a little gift!
We all loved our treatments. I had a facial and it was the best I have ever had. My skin was so moisturized and clear. It was also the most gentle facial I have had. I highly recommend Slice of Heaven for a relaxing day! -

My wife had originally went to Slice of Heaven Day Spa because I they accepted Spa Wish Gift cards. She liked it so much she got me a gift certificate so I went yesterday. The spa is located in a nicely decorated house that has several treatment rooms that are spacious, warm feeling and very quiet. Carrie the owner was very, very nice make sure to understand exactly what I was looking for. I had a 60 minute massage with a 30 minute reflexology on my feet and it was awesome. Carrie had the perfect touch both knowing when to and when not apply pressure. She had a very flowing and relaxing style which was especially welcomed after a long, somewhat stressful week. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit.

I have been looking for a day spa which would offer both excellent facials and massages. I have been to a few local spas in San Jose, but found where one service was excellent, the other services were lacking or rushed.
Based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to try Slice of Heaven Day Spa for a 1-hour Swedish massage. Overall, my experience was very relaxing. Carrie confirmed my set appointment the day before by phone. Though I originally scheduled only a massage, she was able to fit me in for The Rejuvenator (1 hour Swedish massage, 1 hour facial, and paraffin wax foot and hand treatment). Though I arrived a little late, Carrie did not rush me to check in. She offered some refreshing cinnamon iced tea, took her time showing the facility, and eased me into it by explaining the process.
The Swedish massage was excellent- not too soft and not too harsh like a deep tissue massage; it was the right amount of pressure. During the facial, she paid special attention to detail in terms of my skin type. Also, the extraction process was painless. I left the facility feeling entirely relaxed and well-hydrated. I would definitely recommend Slice of Heaven for a little retreat from the day-to-day stresses. Overall, a great deal for relaxation. I hope to return again as a birthday treat. -

My daughter (the birthday girl) and I treated ourselves for a special day. Carrie is great. I got a facial 5 days ago and my skin still feels wonderful. Carrie gives you attention the entire session. I have been to other places and they leave the room during the steam processes. But Carrie massages your arms, back, and neck.

It really is a little Slice of Heaven. I had a Plum District certificate for a Diamondbrasion microcurrent lifting facial - definitely something new for me. Carrie was gentle and thoughtful and explained everything thoroughly. Throughout the treatment she used lovely aromatherapy scents that were very calming. The session was relaxing and my skin was totally rejuvenated. Very nice experience.

After getting Spafinder Gift Certificates from my wonderful sister at Christmas I was ready for my treat! And...
WOW!! It takes quite a bit to make me say wow! I am quite particular and I have had many massages! Carrie is great- She is very nice and welcoming. She listens to what you want and is truly a great esthetician & massage therapist! As the owner, she does what she feels is best for the client and that is soooo nice! I felt like I was there for more than 1 1/2 hrs- very relaxing! I got the Lavender Fields package- wonderful massage and facial- 45min each!
I loved the hot stones & hot packs, especially on the neck muscles! The finish with the hot towels wrapped around my feet was amazing!
I had read the reviews on the website and another person had said this was the best massage she had ever had in her years of getting massages, so I thought I would give it a try! I am sure glad I did! Now I can say it too! This was the best massage I have EVER had! :)

If you are looking for a day spa, look no further!!! Slice of Heaven Day Spa in Willow Glen is so tranquil and private. Tara Davis is excellent! For years I have had issues with waxing, but since I have been going to Tara my skin is finally 'bump free' and beautifully hairless.
I have also had the privilage to have facials from around the world and can truly say--- Tara is gifted with her gentle 'healing' touch and skin care knowledge. My skin is finally glowing. Thank you Tara Davis!!!! -

Thanks to the other Yelp reviews, I visited Slice of Heaven for a 60 minute Swedish massage, and it was lovely. The facility is adorable, in an old house that feels very welcoming and cozy. Carrie is very kind, and makes you feel comfortable right away. The massage room makes you feel relaxed right away - warm colors and a warmed massage table (yay). The aromatherapy oils were just right, and the heated massage oil was fantastic. The massage itself was definitely above average, though I think next time I'll ask for a little more pressure (but that's on me, not on Carrie - if you don't say something, how would she know?). I'm not giving 5 stars only because it wasn't the most amazing massage I've ever had, but it was very, very good and the best I've had in San Jose. Carrie is the best! She is nice, and VERY knowledgeable of skin care and will answer all your questions. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing. I look forward to many more treatments here!
