Couldn't have asked for a better experience! We just moved to the city and have been depending on public transit to get around. Looking for a mattress and bringing it home was a daunting task. Sleep Squad took that away with the easy to use website and business model.
Not having to walk more then 100 feet to get the showroom floor, having the privacy to try out several mattresses (picked out just for us) and the confident and friendly sales staff made this mattress buying experience one of kind.
Never again will I go from store to store to pick out the mattress right for me - Sleep Squad is the only way to buy mattresses in Chicago.
Plus, what a great way to make the neighbors jealous, front door service. -

Buy your next mattress from these folks. It's the best experience you'll ever have.
I've done a lot of shopping for mattresses, and these guys make it the easiest to try and buy. Their staff is helpful (on their own time after the sale they helped me move a dresser! How great is that!!?) and not the least bit pushy. Their truck is awesome. The president of the company (Michael) answers the phones sometimes and is accessible even if he's doing something else.
Put simply, these guys are the best. Good prices, awesome service. Highly recommended.
Update 12-06-07: I'm still in love with this company. Turns out I didn't need the boxspring I bought, and though IL law prohibits me from getting a refund for it, Sleep Squad connected me with someone willing to buy it. That's right - they remembered my situation from when I called 2 months ago and called me back. Incredible. They also sent me a nice, handwritten Thank You note for referring a friend.
Why can't all retail experiences be this great? -

My bed and I have a great relationship. If it wasn't for the fact that i am the breadwinner in our relationship, I would never leave it... Or at least that's how I used to feel. So, I finally decided it was time to get rid of the old beat up mattress from the 70's ( I wish I were joking) and get on board with a new mattress. The only problem, was that I had never had a new mattress before, and didn't really fancy the idea of going to a store to find one, and the idea of getting one from a bargain basement, was unappealing since I had no idea what I truly wanted in a bed. In comes trusty Yelp and the interwebs. I found Sleepsquad while googling for tips for picking and evaluating mattresses. I found their site, read the reviews, and called them the next day.
While, I'm sure I could have found a mattress cheaper, I am very happy with the mattress I selected.
However, the best part comes in the service that they provide. Most places I called to spot check after I set my appointment with Sleep Squad, didn't have what I was looking for in stock. (Low profile box spring) After I had officially made the decision to get rid of the old mattress I wanted to do it as quickly as possible, and looked forward to a quick dismissal of the old one. I didn't want to wait around for some place to get my order in.
The actual process was quick and efficient. They explained a little about the actual mattresses, and then proceeded to let me test them. No one was there to watch me, or pressure me into liking one more than another (read more expensive).
In the end I found a mattress that felt like home when I laid on it, and have been sleeping very happily since....
Now, if only I didn't have to leave it for work! -

This is so convenient that its hard not to like the sleep squad. They bring you multiple options right to your front door, you try them out if you dont like em then send them back. Both me and my roommate used this service and picking out our beds became a quick check on our long move in list. The variety of mattresses isn't great, they were able to show me 3 options in the type that I was looking for, but luckily I really liked one of them and the price was more than reasonable. So if you're moving to Chicago call this place, they'll swing by while you're getting other things done and it won't even interrupt your day for more than 10 minutes.

Bought a mattress from them last week. Very convenient because they actually drive the store to your house and you get to test the mattresses right there. You don't have to buy but if you do, it's instant delivery and haul out of your old one. The truck is cool too!
