Gotta' say... I love myself some Mary Sledd. I met Mary when interviewing photographers for my wedding in the spring of 2006. As a photographer myself, the photography from my wedding needed to be spectacular. I was drawn in by her honesty and enthusiasm. She did a fabulous job shooting my wedding. Since then a number of my friends have hired her and each wedding album, although being Mary through and through, really seems to capture the essence of the event. Mary's work has a sense of humor and intimacy that most other wedding photographers lack.
I've also hired Mary to work with me shooting corporate events and shooting as my back-up when I am unavailable. She is ridiculously responsive, professional and does a remarkable job. Photography is in her blood! I swear she never puts her camera down for more than 5 minutes.
Since hiring her to shoot my wedding, we've become close friends. I can tell you she loves her job deeply and her main goal is to make her clients happy - and I am a very happy client. -

I think to call Mary Sledd a wedding photographer is a little limiting. I have used her for event, location and studio work as well, and she is a pleasure to work with. He niche is weddings, but her portfolio goes way beyond that (and she is a great wedding photographer too.)
At a friends wedding where she was the photographer, she jumped into the middle of a crowded dance floor with her camera, started dancing around and snapping shots at the same time. She showed them to me later and they were amazing. Some of the best shots of the night.
Mary will not let you down. -

My husband and I hired Mary Sledd as our wedding photographer. (I think he was sold by an amazing photo of Iggy Pop in her portfolio.) Two weeks after the event, we already have all of our photographs and they are gorgeous!! Mary's good-natured personality puts people at ease in front of the camera. I'm impressed by her talent and thankful for her flexibility. She has a wonderful eye for photographs and her style is timeless. I highly recommend hiring her for any event.

Mary Sledd did an amazing job at our wedding in Jan 2011. She took great pictures, was awesome to work with and quick and efficient. She took all the pictures we asked for and got us our proof book and copies of the pictures very quickly after the wedding. I was very impressed with her service!

I hired Mary to photograph my wedding after great reviews from a friend who got married the summer before. I was planning the wedding from a different city, and really appreciated how easy she was to work with over the phone and by email. The pictures from our event are terrific. I didn't even realize all of the places she was during the ceremony and reception! She caught a lot of very special moments, without interrupting. She was also very fast getting pictures to us, and we loved being able to see a preview online!
