Let me start by saying that I am NOT a thrill seeker by any stretch of the imagination.  However, for my birthday I decided on a whim that I wanted to go skydiving.  My fiancé set up the reservations for us both & off we went on the morning of my birthday.  We arrived with plenty of time to fill out paperwork, receive training from the instructor, etc.  No problems at all.  Then, when the time came, our group headed for the plane.

We ascended into the air, and I'm not going to lie - I was scared.  However, sensing my trepidation, one of the other instructors on the plane reassured me everything would be fine.  It was kind of a surreal feeling being crammed in a tiny plane realizing that the only way back to the ground was by jumping (at the time, it was also my first plane ride too!)

Once we got up to 10,000 feet, it was time...I was really hoping to go first, but of course I was last!  My instructor and I moved towards the open door of the plane, and then it was all out of my hands...he rocked us slightly and we tumbled out.  I still get a rush thinking about it!  The 90 second free fall was the most exhilarating thing I've ever experienced.  All of a sudden, it's a totally different feel as the parachute opens & you gently glide back to the ground.  The view was amazing!

ASC made the whole experience wonderful!

I've been skydiving here for a year now and I really like this place. It's a home away from home on the weekends. Most everyone is friendly and everyone is professional; They take skydiving seriously.

Whether you are a scared first timer or a seasoned veteran, Skydive Georgia is a great place to go and Skydive. Although the landing area is fairly small compared to most standards, if you can learn to land here you can land anywhere.

The tandem instructors take good care of their students and return them back to earth safely and softly.  There really is not much as a student you need to know to make a tandem skydive. You just leave it up to the professionals and enjoy the ride!

They have free Wi-Fi on site and their prices are competitive. They offer video packages to go along with your tandem skydive. It is a great, friendly, and fun atmosphere. They have an observation deck in the back from which to watch your friends and family land safely in the landing area.

If, like me, you for fall in love with your tandem skydive and want to become a skydiver... They offer all of the instructions and classes you will need to start jumping on your own. I did my AFF class there and in under eight  jumps I was jumping out completely solo!

Whether a bucket list item, a dare, or just the search for something totally fun... I highly recommend going skydiving and doing it at Skydive Georgia!

I bought a half off deal to skydive and purchased a video last year. I redeemed my voucher and was well on my way to adventure. Arrived before time we arrived at 11:45 am (our check in time was noon), waited in line for 3+ hours then finally jumped. My instructor was Aaron and my videographer was Ashton. I filled out the video form with my detailed description, I was initially told I would leave with my video the same day (that's what's advertised) but was informed that because they were busy it would be mailed to me. I waited for my video and pictures..when I got them. The pics WERE NOT ME, and the VIDEO WAS NOT ME that's right TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE on video and pics. I called and was assured by Brandy (after giving her a detailed description again) that SHE looked at the video and confirmed it was me (she repeated to me yes "black shirt with a face on it and black hair". I waited again received the package..and to my surprise NOT ME the girl in the video had on a grey shirt and had brown hair. I called spoke to Chantel May 15 l, texted and emailed a picture of me, gave her a detailed description (jump date, load number, instructor name, and videographers name). I called to follow up today and guess what "the system crashed" and my footage hasn't been located. I asked for another jump and video and was told NO. This crash is very convenient NO ONE HAS APOLOGIZED. Even with all the excuses no one has said "We screwed up and we apologize" So I don't have the memories of my adventure as promised and paid for. They said they called me..I hadn't received any communication other than when I called. They have my number, address, and email. I have not been offered a refund or the opportunity to experience and document my adventure.

My disclaimer is that I'm writing this the day after I jumped so, I'm still euphoric!  We drove for what seemed like forever, even got pulled over for a speeding ticket, but eventually arrived at ASC Skydiving.  Not exactly what I was picturing but once inside, things were great.

We were greeted by a skydiving pastor who prayed with us then we watched a few videos on their cozy little couches of people who had jumped...and survived.  I was totally put at ease.  There were pictures on the wall of past skydivers, their families, and even a copy of a marriage liscense from a couple who wed in the air.

As we signed our lives away, we watched other people suit up for their jumps.  Then peered out the window as little black dots became larger and larger until their parachutes opened.  Every single skydiver landed in one piece.  All of them with smiles on their faces.  They even fielded all of our questions:  "How many times have you jumped?" "Were you scared?"  "How do you know where to land?"

Then it was our turn.  Tyler was my tandem instructor and he gave me a great lesson on how to position myself and what to expect.  We boarded the airplane and headed up to 14,000 feet.  Then we did it, we jumped, one by one, out of the side of the airplane.  We were falling at more than 120 mph.  It was amazing!  All the time, Tyler was telling me what to do but cool enough to let me enjoy the peaceful sensation of flying.

We landed smoothly.  I couldn't stop smiling. I laid on the ground for a minute or two when we finished with my head still in the clouds.  Everything was great, from start to finish.  I highly recommend this location for skydiving.  They can even do a video for you.  You can take classes to become certified and once you're qualified, you can jump for $15 on Wednesdays.  If you're a trill seeker, this is it!!  Jump baby!!

JJ..you rock!  JJ..my tandem partner for life was AMAZING and so much fun!  Skydiving wasn't exactly on my bucket list of things to get done but can you add it to the list after the fact?

Falicia G. described the trip sooo much better than I can so check out her review!  But..what an amazing experience shared with the best of friends.  In that moment when you are free falling at over 120 mph...something just changes inside of you.  For me..it was a moment of never looking back and focusing on that moment when the world stops, and you float, you watch the world below..............this inner peace just enters into you in awweee.

That was my experience as I was attached to JJ who told me to keep my hands where he tells me or I'd kill us both! :)

You only live once..what would that moment do for you!?
Thanks to my beautiful friends, fellow yelpers, for sharing the moment before, during, and after!

I could NOT have asked for a better experience with ASC! From the moment I called for reservations to the moment I walked out of their facility the day-of, I was impressed with each and every staff member.

It can't go unsaid that the thought of skydiving gave me chills and caused a sudden urge to "use the facilities." But I tend to like things that scare me so much that I wanna pop Xanax. I knew I wanted to jump, I was just scared out of my mind.

My first call to ASC was answered by BJ. Her professionalism and friendliness literally calmed my nerves and gave me a sense that skydiving is just a normal everyday activity for some folks.

When I arrived, I must admit, I had preconceived perceptions. I figured that since these people jump out of planes all the time, that they may have an arrogant attitude and be standoffish or rude to silly thrill-seekers like me. I was quickly corrected. I was greeted warmly when I entered the building by some of the instructors getting ready for the next jump. The ladies at check-in were friendly, funny and helpful. And my instructor Dan was thorough and confident (two of the most important attributes a skydive instructor should have, if you ask me).

When I made my reservation, I was told to prepare for a wait of about four to six hours before jumping, because jumps are based on height, weight, weather, etc. However, within about 30 minutes, I was told to stand by and within an hour I was on the plane! In all, I was in and out of ASC within an hour and a half!

The jump itself was fantastic! Once the door on the plane is opened, things move quickly, so you have to be on your toes. I pity my instructor, as I forgot every single thing he told me to do. I am alive, however, so it seems to have worked out okay.

Also, I purchased the DVD package that includes a video and still photos. If you want specific song selections, you can burn a CD of those two songs and bring them with you, and the DVD team will score your DVD to those songs.

During the free fall, I was somewhat glad to be distracted by the cameraman that was sailing all around us. And it was fun to watch him maneuver and spin. And of course, the view is gorgeous and stretches all the way to Atlanta.

When the parachute opens, there is a hard pull, but nothing that I felt was drastic. There is some obvious tightening of the harness bringing pressure to the legs. But Dan was good about adjusting the trappings enough to make the ride down comfortable. I appreciated that I could chat with my instructor as we coasted back down to earth. He even did some cool maneuvers to spin us around and show me different views.

The landing seemed like it would be a little dicey, but it wasn't. Just put your legs out in front of you and sit down. It's a little bumpy, and you may have a small tumble, but nothing to worry about.

After wiggling out of the harness, I waited a few minutes for my DVD, then purchased my T-shirt and signed up to do it again! Yep, ASC, you'll see me in the Spring!

5 stars all the way!  My jump was delayed a week due to plane malfunction.  Best experience any human can ever experience.  Reservations were on point, smooth, did it for my birthday!  It was very cold up there (did it first thing in the morning)  the free fall was amazing. got it all on video and definitely would do it again!
