One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
HOLY FREAKING COW!!!!!
Awesome. Just totally awesome.
I went with a couple girlfriends to the trampoline aerobics class tonight. Kid you not, this is the BEST flippin' work out class I've taken in a long, long time. It beats Zumba, hip-hop aerobics, fake cardio on the sit-down bike with the latest copy of Lucky Magazine.... etc. It was an ass-kicking workout and absolutely hilarious. I mean, you're jumping around on giant trampolines. Way more difficult than it sounds, and hysterical when people (like me) fall, or get so exhausted they just have to sit.
In fact, I am hesitant to even write this review because I'm afraid more people will go and spots will fill up... buuuuuuut that would be selfish.
Laying it all out there: It's not super clean, and yeah, it smells a little funny- but I wasn't in it for the scene. I wanted a fun workout that would leave me breathless and sore.
I got it.
Great music, energetic instructor (Jeremy), and a seriously challenging hour long calorie killing session.
Going back next week. Can. Not. Wait.
UPDATE:
Wanted to include a little more info:
It's only 7 bucks to take a class. They offer monthly passes that will save you some cash if you decide you're hooked and want to make Tramp Aerobics part of your routine.
And yes, there ARE guys in the class. Normal, cool guys who didn't just skip Jazzercise one week to try some new kind of cardio. (Not that there's anything wrong with guys in Jazzercise... I'm just sayin')
Fellas, if it helps, call it "trampoline fitness". Perhaps the "aerobics" terminology is a bit off-putting. It's not yo mama's work-out class.
Yes, you can wear your sneakers.... or go bare foot. (No socks- too slippery.) I busted out my jazz dance shoes- I felt like tennies were too bulky.
And YOU WILL get sweaty. So plan on a buffer between class and meeting friends for dinner.
You're answer to a better night sleep!
This place is amazing, this isn't some ordinary astro jump or trampoline deal. This is Sky High, where light jumps turn into 3 feet high leaps. Kids and adults here are jumping off the walls- literally!
The place is divided into the main jumping area, foam pit, baby area and dodgeball death arena (maybe not death, but that's what it should be called!)
There are arcade games here to eat your money, a small counter of snacks and drink machines upon entry. Bring your own stuff, seriously I was parched from jumping 5 minutes in and refused to drink public fountain water. Plus, it doesn't seem like they're too strict about it- that is unless you are bringing in a 6- pack of sodas.
Great place to bring the kids, it'll work up their appetite and knock em' out.
P.S. This place seriously wears you out, 20 minutes in my heart felt as if I was sprinting uphill. Sky High left my legs feeling like jello, loved the rush though. Definitely recommended!
Don't think about it too much...it's just a warehouse with trampolines strapped together that you jump on, section to section. There's a dodgeball court and a sea of foam cubes you can jump into, but good luck getting out. You have to think about all of the other people you just jumped into too. The staff could be a little more ehtusiastic, but seeing as it was 9pm on a Thursday where all you do is watch people and tell them they can't sit down on the trampolines, I can see why they aren't themselves bouncing off the walls.
-MAIN JUMP ZONE-
Multiple sizes of trampolines strapped together with pads protecting you from falling on the bars. There are even diagonal trampolines for you to jump into/onto/flip from. Fairly big, but they have a rule where each jumper needs their own section...probably for when people decide to test the laws of momentum.
-DODGEBALL-
Imagine the movie, but on trampolines and played with foam balls. It's pretty fun and you can even throw in some cool flips and jumps while unleashing a barrage of balls.
-SEA OF FOAM-
Imagine a McDonalds playpen, but with cubes of 1' x 1' foam you can just jump into. No flipping though. It can be quite a task getting yourself out depending on how deep you land. Some try rolling, some try swimming. I tried a bit of both, but just ended up trying to stand up and pull myself out.
-AMENITIES-
There are cubby boxes you can put your stuff in or lockers you can rent for 50 cents. Large picnic style tables and a raised observation area, probably for parents to watch their kids in the "Kids 7 and under" section. Various arcade games, and two big screen TVs with couches that let you watch the jump areas.
-VERDICT-
2.5 stars. Let's face it, you're paying to jump on trampolines. Go with a big group of friends, but beware of the stress it puts on your body. Jump enough and your spine will hate you. It's more tiring than it looks, so pay for an hour, and then decide if you want to keep going.
Used to work for a teen center & this was one of our field trips.
At first you think, what the hell is so great about jumping around all freakin' day?! But if you have any child left in you.. as soon as you start jumping, you also start cheesing like an idiot. There aren't too many activities to do here & make sure you eat before you go here but it's a great place to bring the kids in your life for a couple hours. * Especially if you want to wear them out for the rest of the day ;) *
Couple of things:
-WEAR SHOES THAT TIE. no socks so don't risk getting someone elses' GERMY ASSNESS on your feet.
-When you're jumping around and abruptly stop on the yellow lines, your upper back will start to complain. Just be careful =)
This place is fun--just like the other reviewers wrote..its just jumping around which is cool
My biggest complaint which will be the only reason my friends and I aren't going back and why they only get 2 stars are the people who work there.
They are just RUDE--they stood there and made fun of us the whole time. I wanted to complain about one guy specifically who was short with spiked black hair to the manager but I didn't see the manager before we left. They would laugh at my friends every time someone fell and made rude looks. I asked one guy a question at one point and he mocked me for 5 minutes. SO RUDE. i would never bring kids around them either. Im pretty sure I can find other place to jump around.
Lately I've been going to their bounce aerobics class, which happens I think every evening on weekdays. For sure though, there are classes at 6 and 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's $7 for the full hour of fun strenuous work-out. It's open to bouncers of all levels. A handful of people there can do flips and double flips with no efforts. I, on the other hand, can't even manage to bounce off the side trampoline without landing on my butt. Age ranges from probably 19 up to 40 maybe. Come work out with us!!

This place reeks!
This place overall is alright. Not the funnest. You get tired as hell jumping around. I couldn't even last the full hour. Part of it due to the lack of cool air in there.
For activities..
Mehh... Maybe I'm not as kid-like as I thought I was. Or I'm just not that active. I didn't really care to jump around after 2 minutes of it. Plus I was really paranoid of breaking my knee on all the borders. I would've preferred if the place was one big inflatable jumping place. That would be safer. And you know what, the place wasn't as big as it looks in pictures. And thennn I really didn't like how it SMELLED... or rather, how PEOPLE smelled all sweaty and gross towards the end half of the hour.. Yeah totally not a 9 dollars well spent. Coulda watched a movie.
(Sorry Lyn! I did however, enjoy spending time with you guys tho! haha..)
TRAMPOLINES!!!
At first thought, this place would be soo awesome to go to. I was pretty disappointed. From outside the place looks very cheap and medicore. It was just that. The price of $9 an hour isnt bad at least which is great so i tried to get my moneys worth. After a few minutes of bouncing i realized, this is it. Its just bouncing around. Pretty mediocre if you ask me. Sky High has 3 sections which are all equally disgusting. Kids are everywhere, jumping around, rubbign sweat on every foam casing. Its pretty bad here. With perspiration comes stench. All bad.
The only fun part was the dodgeball but it was just ehh. Not the greatest thing. You can only do some much here and not get injured. The yellow dividers are terrible. It would be impossible to not have them but they are a pain. Landing on one is guranteed injury. This place got so boring after the first 30 mins.Good thing we only paid for an hour.
This place should have a basketball area.
It was fun, fun, fun! I tried the trampoline aerobics class with Somala A. and Dana K. (thanks ladies!!) and OMG, what a blast!
50 minutes sounded like nothing much before the class, but after 10-15 minutes of warming up and jump and moving around on the trampolines, I was sweating like crazy, breathing harder, my legs and abs feeling tighter. There are different movement and exercise throughout the class so you get a total work out, head to toe.
I usually run and bike for my exercise, but this was definitely one of the most fun and innovative way to get your workout, and it was only $7 for a class!! The instructor was very friendly and encouraging. He was not pushy at all (I can't take the military style instructors..) but pushed me enough that I was not slacking :)
I wore running shirt and shorts, and running shoes. Some people were bare feet, some wore flat shoes. Oh, don't forget to drink plenty of water during and after the class. I am totally hooked now!
my 7 year-old came here for a b-day party & LOVED it. trampolines, dodgeball & foam pit. she played non-stop for 2 hours.
there is a lounge area w/ 2 TVs-- one with a split screen of all the trampolines so you can keep an eye on your kid while you watch SportsCenter or read magazines- nice touch for lazy moms like myself :)
I could do without the violent video games & junky food, but what are you gonna do?
I don't know what parents are thinking when they plan their child's birthday parties here. Sure it'll tire them out right away and get them full with pizza, but I just don't think that's worth the amount of germs that they are likely to attract here. It's nasty here. Like, a funky nasty. It smells and it's sticky everywhere. Sticky from what? You tell me! If you really want to catch something, I suggest you jump into the foam pit where you can't do any flips, turns, or dives and come out smelling like 3 fat kids who just came out of the trampoline dodge-ball game.
I came here with the boyfriend and his younger cousin one random Saturday afternoon because we had extra time and energy to kill. I had heard about this amazing trampoline place a few months back but unfortunately, none of my 20 some year old friends wanted to spend an afternoon jumping around. Literally.
We got there around 2pm and it wasn't super packed. It's sort of hidden between large warehouse like buildings, but it has a decent sized sign outside and if you can't read, you can just follow the kids to the place.
You go in and you pay $9/person/hour for total access to their trampolines. They have 3 parts: 1 main trampoline area, a dodgeball area, and a younger kids trampoline area with a foam pit.
We spent about 6 minutes in the trampoline area and were tired out of our freakin minds and sweating up a storm. Good thing they had high powered fans to stand in front of or use I would've created my own swimming pool. The dodgeball area was pretty cool. They have an employee manning the games and assigning teams, which is good because without that person, I'm sure it would be ruckus. The foam pit is cool too but all you're allowed to do is jump into the pit and climb out. no playing around with the foam squares.
At first I was convinced that 1 hour in the place was plenty of time, but when our time was up, I almost didn't wanna leave. It made me feel like a kid again. Although my body paid for it the next day. I was sore like a mf-er.
I'm only giving this place 4 stars because it's not well ventilated and smells strongly of sweaty gym socks. Aside from the smell and poor ventilation, the place is awesome. It's so much fun.
I've been here a couple of times for their air aerobics class. Let me tell you, it is such a good work out. I'm sure you're thinking, it's only a trampoline, how much of a work out can you really get? Trust me, after a few minutes into the class you'll be sweating like crazy.
The good part is you don't feel like you're working out because you're having so much fun! If you come with a group of friends, it's especially fun to see the guys get tired out and have to sit down to rest.
The classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are only $7. They also offer dodge ball, which I haven't tried yet. If you're just there to jump, you can buy time slots on their website.
If it's your first time, it's a good idea to register on their website and sign and print out the waiver. It will help speed things along when you get there, as this place is very popular. Also bring lots of water or cold drinks and a towel because you'll need it.
There isn't a whole lot of supervision in the trampoline areas, so I would suggest that you keep an eye on your kids if you bring them there. One time I was there and a kid broke his ankle. It took a while for them to get a stretcher to take him out. So be careful!
Great for school-aged bouncy kids. I try to come when it's not too crowded, like if school is closed for in-service days, or the swine flu. I don't like it when it's crowded with teens and bigger kids. Yes, it smells. Sit by the fans.
I wasn't too sure about this place after the first 10 minutes....jumping around and rolling around with boys ages 10-15 years old who haven't learned the concept of hygiene and deodorant quite yet...stinky feet, sweaty little boys and farting. Sounds like fun huh? Actually this place is pretty cool......
We heard great things about this place, so my husband and I decided to check it out and see what everyone was raving about. Definitely a fun place with a few drawbacks.
I am not sure what I had expected from this place before I came but I always imagined it much bigger and nicer. There are three jump areas: the arena, the dodgeball area and the kids under 7 section.
We tried out the Arena area for about 20 minutes. That was all I could handle for the first part, its a great workout! It was a quiet night when we came so we had a lot of space to jump and have fun. Just be careful and don't be like my husband....he thought he could do a front flip and when he tried, he landed on his head and hurt his neck. It's not serious but he is still sore a few days later. Leave the flips to the kids!
The dodgeball area was probably the best part for my husband. Continuous dodgeball games the whole 2 hours we were there. People get put on opposite teams and you play dodgeball bouncing around. Great workout without really working out. Plus my husband made friends with all of these kids and it was cute when the little ones would fight over being on the same team with my husband.
This place overall has alot of positives. Great price especially on Wed when its $10 for 2 hours or $9 for 1 hour and its I imagine less crowded then on the weekends. Plenty of tables for people to sit. If you are a parent its a great place to hang out and read or work on your computer while your kids burn off energy. They also have a large couch and TV area. People working here are very friendly and even the kids jumping here were cool and respectful to each other.
The negatives: this place is dirty and dingy. And don't even attempt to use the bathrooms. Oh my God I about died in there --no ventilation and when kids are involved sometimes they forget to flush the toilets. Just stay away from the toilets. Floors are dingy and sticky and it has that weird metallic smell mixed with sweat throughout the place. Also, wear shoes! I made the stupid mistake of bringing flip flops with me hoping that I could just wear socks when bouncing but they do not allow only socks. Its either shoes or barefeet....ick! My feet were so dirty and sticky after. When you leave, you feel really gross.
Lockers are no longer free....they are 50 cents.
I'll probably come back for groups or if someone wants to have a party. Overall a great place but just expect to get pretty dingy here.
This is a great place if you wanna burn some calories! After 5 minutes of jumping around, I was sweating and already exhausted. It also gets really hot and smells like sweat, but what can you expect from a place where people are sweating a lot. There are giant fans but it doesn't feel like it does much. They have a foam pit that I love jumping into, however, I am not sure how CLEAN it actually is. I would come more often, but I can't afford it.
So much fun! But it wears you out quick. They have time slots so you have to get there early if you want a good slot. Also, if you plan on bringing kids that aren't yours, make sure you get the parental consent forms signed before you get there. Otherwise, it's such a hassle to have to go back to each parent to get their signatures.
At first I thought an hour (or I think it's less) of jumping wasn't gonna be worth my money, but i was so out of breath in the first 10 minutes of jumping. And it was a blast. They have four areas inside... the coliseum (i think that's what it's called) is where most of the trampolines are placed. behind that they have a section for dodge ball, the foam pit, and a little section for little kids. It can get a little crowded there, especially on the weekends, but you usually have 15-20 min for you and your party before another wave comes around for their time slot.
Two thumbs up for fun!
price isn't bad and it's a great place to bring kids or even your own friends. there is dodgeball and a foam pit. it's a real workout, you'll def break a sweat but no worries, they have several huge fans to cool you off. i'd recommend you wear your shoes jumping rather than go barefoot. better grip/traction and less painful.
there's a good number of restrictions however on the trampolines. like no sitting in one place, and no cameras.
it's a one of a kind place, never seen so many trampolines in my life.
About a month ago, a friend of mine sent a mass email out about Jumpy World (I legitimately thought that was the name until I just searched for it on yelp). Five hours and 30 emails later, we had a plan to drive down from San Francisco to Santa Clara for Saturday morning Airobics class. Predictably, the plan completely fell apart when everyone drank too much on Friday night. But finally....four Saturdays later, down from eight to the truly dedicated three, we got our asses out of bed and made the journey to Jumpy World.
Naturally, we dressed in 80s workout wear. I assumed this was standard practice for trampoline aerobics, but the side comments I overheard about it not being theme day when we arrived proved me wrong. Yes, this place smells terrible. It's a combination of feet, sweat and ass. Aside from the ass, what else would one expect a trampoline warehouse to smell like?
$7 buys you one hour on the tramp. Five minutes of freestyle to start, 45 minutes of hardcore airobics, and five minutes of freestyle at the end. After 45 minutes of 80s/early 90s jams in the car, we were totally ready to get our tramp on, until the following exchange took place:
Girl in line: Have you guys taken this class before?
My friend: No, we're super excited!
Girl: yeah, it's really fun
Friend: we drove all the way from San Francisco!
Girl: Oh....well it's not THAT fun
Whatever biatch!!!! Airobics rulezzzz. And it was THAT fun! I half expected it to be a joke and half expected to get my ass kicked. The ass kicking expectation was dead on, I am freaking sore today. It turns out one hour of bouncing around is actually kind of hard. I'd say we were all out of breath within the first three minutes and my abs were burning within just a few more. I just learned that tramping is an olympic sport and If this place were closer, I'd be at airobics class every week training for 2012.
And it turns out they do have 80s night every month, so my assumption that 80s wear and tramp aerobics go hand in hand wasn't so crazy after all. If it were possible to rent this entire place out for a night, I would somehow get really rich, rent a party bus for all my friends in San Francisco, and have an 80s aerobic trampoline party. Anyone who thinks they can make that happen for me, please be in touch.
Go here to feel like you're 13 again. Go here for your birthday party, and feel like you're 6! With an old school pizza party, people to clean up your mess, and awesome teeny bopper beats blasting in the background, Sky High is the roller rink of the 2000's.
Be sure to Superman jump into the foam pit!!
If you're a parent with a hyperactive kid, this is definitely the place for your little devil to exhaust himself after literally bouncing off the walls.
One star knock off as it felt a little dirty - kids (and normal people) probably won't notice this.
This place is a crazy workout, you basically, LITERALLY fall apart after 4 hours here. It's so fun, too - it's like this big room of trampoline. I went with a couple of girlfriends and had a blast.
We spent most of our time in the first room with the trampolines, but we did go into the second room with foam blocks (in which one of my friends stepped on a small child by accident). I didn't even see the third room but it's supposedly something to do with dodgeball.
The downside of this place are that you can't expect to find hygiene at this place, since everyone's sweating left and right, little boys farting and spitting, drooling, etc., so it's pretty smelly up in this joint. The other downside is that it's so danged expensive - though it's a lot of fun, it just seems like a rip-off at times.
Overall, it's a great place - not to mention the AMC theatres close by, so you can catch a movie and a dinner after your intense jumping session :]
If you have hyper kids, this is the place for them. I promise you'll get them to bed early after a few hours at this place. It's $9 for an hour which isn't bad at all. This has been my second time there and I've realized how exhilarating it is to go and jump around on the walls especially after a long, stressful day at work (for the older folk). The dodgeball area they have is awesome! Playing against a bunch of 12 years really gave me a run for my money. I think I lost two pounds in one hour. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get a great workout and sweat their butts off.
p.s. I'm strongly considering the aerobics class that they have there... GREAT idea.
I'd say that Jenn P's review is pretty much spot on. I went to the same birthday party with her, Kat C. Jane L. and Chris P.
First of all, is it just me or does the birthday package seem like a rip off?? $25 a person for 2 hours, a bottle of water, a slice of pizza, and a reserved table - I mean c'mon??
This place is definately a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be and YES, just like every single other yelper's review about this place - it smells like feet when you walk in......
My only piece of advice, wear shoes with good supports - my arches started hurting after awhile. The foam pit is fun although foam gets EVERYWHERE, including in your mouth, nose and eyeballs - so be prepared and yes, close your mouth.
Would I come back? No. But would I suggest this for kids? Yes.
This place can go one of two ways: good or horrible. Luckily I had a good experience when I went with friends. There's plenty of parking and for it's location you are surrounding by business buildings. The place does reek a little but that's because everyone is constantly jumping around which would be the point of being there. The ball pit area is fun except when you land in it. The foam doesn't get washed so when you land you're landing in the sweat of hundreds probably thousands of others. You can smell it and see the discoloration in the balls from all the sweat. I'd probably stay away from that even though it is a lot of fun. Wear clothes that are comfortable and you won't worry about. You're in a room full of others (mostly kids) and you are basically exercising by jumping. They should have had rooms like these in high school.
Went for the aerobics class which lasted for about 50 minutes.
Fuck, I'm out of shape.
Minus (-) 1 star cause it's a little smelly :D
"Dodgeball?"
This is just rating the dodgeball. Because what is the point of jumping around when there is dodgeball. You can jump around anywhere, but where can you play dodgeball with bouncing around everywhere.
This is a great place to find out if one is in shape or not. I came here with a bunch of people and within 10 minutes found I was out of breath. Bouncing up and down seem so simple until one comes here.
The place is divided into 3 arenas and isn't that clean. The first is just a large place to jump around, has a lot of kids running and bouncing around. The second room is the one with the foam cubes, need to watch out for smaller kids whom sometimes, just runs right in front of you. The last room is dodge ball. It is the safest since little kids mainly stand in front and gets hit first.
I wished they offered times in increments of 30 minutes because that's how long it took to wipe our group out. I'm a fraidy cat and didn't attempt any sommersaults, jumping off walls, or anything crazy like that. All I did was jump up and down. Nothing exciting so the novelty wore off mid hour.
I've been here twice-once with kids, the other with adults. Fun both times.
Wear tennis shoes that lace up or else you'll be told to remove them and jump with your bare feet. Yiick. Can't jump with socks. If you do not want to jump, they have a small lounge area with several big screens broadcasting news and live feed on where your kid/friends are. They also have a small arcade area similar to the ones in movie theaters.
If you plan on jumping, limit the amount of stuff you have. Handbags, cameras, etc. Leave that all in your car or put in the locker (I forget how much).
Parking is a nightmare and do not park next door! I have seen tow trucks come by.
They have a special for toddlers. $5 from open to noon I believe. They are open until midnight on weekends. And they do parties also. Food is sold-dippin dots ($3), popcorn ($2), and several ice creams, candy, etc.
*edit* My friend dislocated shoulder AND broke him arm here this past week.. (1/29/09)
My church's youth group went here for a church outing a little while back. One of the little boys ended up breaking his ankle AND his leg. It was so bad that when he got to the hospital they needed to perform surgery on the leg.
He now has metal pins in the broken leg/ankle. I don't care how "safe" they try to make things here, they just aren't doing their jobs. These aren't kids who goof around and cause trouble, they were on a CHURCH outing and one had to come home in an ambulance. So disappointing. Another yelper commented saying that the staff admitted to one serious injury A DAY.
I came as a part of the birthday party that Kat C. mentioned below. If I came as a general admission entrant, I probably would've had a worst time due to the whole time slot and limit issue.
First off, the pictures are misleading. I'm surprised there are even pictures because they have a "no cameras" rule. A few shots depict 3-4 kids jumping in the same square/trampoline, another shows people hanging out in the foam pit. These are both no-no's. There is a one person per square rule in the arena and a one person at a time rule for the foam pit. Failure to adhere to the rules will result in verbal warnings. I understand the one person per square rule is there for safety reasons but that means if you come in a large group, you will be spread out in the arena bouncing in your own square... for the next hour or so.
Second, this place is way smaller than I imagined. That's partially due to the fact I didn't know they had dodge ball and a foam pit. Dodge ball sounded like fun but this isn't your elementary school dodge ball. It's dodge ball a la Dodge Ball the movie status, way too intense for me. The foam pit was probably my favorite thing out of the whole place as unsanitary as it was. Sweat + Foam = Yucky. If you decide to take the plunge, just remember two things: 1) close your mouth when you jump and 2) out of sight, out of mind.
Lastly, the waiver and risk factor involved. Yes, it's dangerous and you sign a waiver agreeing you will not hold Sky High responsible if you are injured. It will be your fault if you're injured which I partially agree with since you should know your limits and pace yourself. While I didn't get hurt during this visit, I hated the idea of not being able to protect myself from the (at times) reckless teenagers who were just crash landing flips all over the arena. I can take care of myself but I don't think a toddler would handle being crashed into by a teenage boy too well.
Also, you have the option of wearing shoes or going barefoot but they should make it one or the other--only. What if I had a rock or broken glass on my shoe that dislodged while I was jumping and then someone cut themselves on said rock or broken glass? Just a thought.
While I didn't have a terrible time, I didn't have as much fun as I should have in a place like this. I won't be back but it's worth a visit to see for yourself.
At first, the idea of a huge indoor trampoline place where you jump around and do stupid stuff sounded fun and @ $9/hr, it was cheap entertainment.
They sell time periods in 1 hour increments and once they sell out a particular time, you'll have to wait until the next one, so be there and decide quickly.
So after doing all the buying and junk, me and the gang head straight for the dodge ball. This was the most popular area and there was a line but it went by fast. I get in and immediately twist/sprain my ankle cause i landed in one of those separators between the trampolines, not fun. But since i'm a trooper i just keep on thru the pain since that's how i was trained back during the football days. Head over to the other jump areas and there was nothing special about those too. Too dangerous since it isnt one huge trampoline but sectioned off little squares.
After that, the novelty wore off quite quickly and we got bored and proceeded to leave. I wouldn't come back but I would recommend everyone to at least give it 1 shot and see how you enjoy it.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!
Came here with a big party of over-aged stunna's (Jane L., Kim T., Chris P., and Jenn P. to name a few~)
YOU better believe we showed up the 13 yr old boy having his bday party next to our awesome bday party for good ol' Andrew turnin 25!
MOVE over, kid... lemme at that foam pit!
Alright, I lied... I didn't push any kids... but sure makes you feel like one :) We played from 8:30 till closing on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded (considering we were the largest party and kinda took over the place)
Some questions I had as I was leaving:
- Why do my shoulders hurt?
- Why do my arms hurt?
- Why didn't I try jumping off the wall?
- Why did I keep running into the bouncy wall? (cause it was awesome..)-
- Why didn't I play dodgeball? (Cause I was too scared...considering I tumbled when I bounced off the wall for the 1000th time...)
Be Careful if:
- You have weak knees and ankles (If you land funny while jumping, it'll hurt...and you might injure yourself)
- Your friend wants to jump on the same trampoline as you (it's against the rules...but if they surprise you... you'll go higher than desired..)
- You're thinking of drinking/eating before coming here. Just don't...otherwise you will projectile vomit.
Be prepared to burn hella calories, laugh, and be a kid again :) WHEEE!!
This place is super fun! It's a pretty good deal - $9 for an hour on the giant trampolines. There is also a foam pit and a dodgeball area. There is an under-7 area, but it seemed that none of the younger kids stayed there, which made the main arena a little crowded. I found that the trampolines were divided into sections which were a little too small for me to try flips. Mind you I'm just a novice so I wanted the extra space as a buffer. Some of the younger people there were doing flips in the small squares without a problem. It provided good entertainment when I had to sit out and take a break.
This place is a bit far from where I live, so I don't see myself going back in the near future. If they built one closer to me I'd be more inclined to go. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for reasonably priced entertainment.
3 Stars... Because it is A-OK.
I went here with a couple of my friends on a random Thursday night. I have to say, it was pretty fun, albeit that I looked highly uncoordinated for the first half hour that I was there.
I read some yelp comments about it - it was smelly, it was dangerous, it was dirty. Yes, it was "smelly," but if you played sports in high school or you go to the gym, the smell isn't different from that stench. I mean come on, it is a trampoline palce where you get a work out. It was dangerous...but any trampoline is dangerous. Just be aware of your body because if not, you're going to get hurt. The worst I got was a trampoline burn on my elbow from the side trampolines. Dirty, yes, but whatever, you're outside. It wasn't dirty as one would imagine it, it's probably as dirty as, again, a gym.
Over all, it was good fun. An hour for $10 is more than enough; 2 of my friends quit in 45 minutes and the 3 of us that stayed was mainly because we are athletes and are used to being pushed to our exhaustion point. The people on the front desk that night were friendly and the dodgeball was pretty fun. I would go back there once in a while.
My personal review: 4 stars.
I thought it was a cheap, fun, and novel experience. I learned how to do a flip. I liked it.
But 10 minutes in, my boyfriend bounced off a wall and tore his meniscus. He couldn't walk for a month and may need surgery. To their credit though, they were quick to respond and had ice packs ready at hand. I hear people get hurt there a lot.
So um... enter at your own risk.
PS. About the smell... well obviously you haven't ever been to a gym. My sister's a competitive gymnast and that's how all gyms smell.
I can do flips~~~YAAAAAY
I can run full speed like a kid and jump off the trampoline walls ~~~~~YAAAY
I can get SMACKED right in the face by a six year olds curveball in dodgeball~~~~It doesn't hurt but still having fun~~YAAAAYY
This place is a workout. NO joke... Sweat sweat and more sweat. Cramps in places I didn't know exist.. and water runs and bathroom breaks.
It's great when you go in big groups. I also hear they have a workout class for $5 for 1 hour. I have to go sometime.
I loove this place! I didn't notice any weird smells here nor too many kids and I went on a weekend. They have 2 separate rooms just for kids so the kids mostly go there and you are free to hop around!
If you're in decent shape you should be able to last the entire time and get a fun workout. The music was cool too!
Omg best place ever! Such a great and fun workout. I wish there's a place like this near where I live in socal. I will definitely come back when I visit the area!
It looks so fun... Then your legs start burning HA HA! And I thought I was in pretty good shape...
My best friend had part 1 (the non-drinking part) of her birthday here. It's really fun, a huge workout, and I like the dodgeball aspect. I heard that they have some sort of exercise program here also?
Either way, it's a great novelty thing to do. You have to avoid trampling kids (I imagine some days are probably worse than others) and overexerting yourself (okay, okay. I admit it. I overextended my knee or something and it hurt for a good 6 months) but it's a great way to spend a couple hours.
