The Farm is by far the BEST dropzone to do your first jump through 20,384th jump

I followed the reviews of other experienced jumpers and they all recommended the farm. I went to take my AFF and it was amazing. There are a lot of fun jumpers here so as a newbie there is a lot to learn from everyone. The staff is beyond stellar!! They ensure you are safe while still having fun.

Tandems here are the lowest cost that I have seen thus far. I've jumped in WI, IL, FL, and in GA at other places and they are more expensive.

As far as obtaining your license, its the cheapest out there, and don't let the price think they skimp on the service- you are jumping out of an otter, full altitude 14k, and good rigs.Getting your license at the farm is almost $1000 dollars cheaper than it would be had I done it in Chicago.

You can skydive anywhere, but its about the people and the experience at the farm that make it worthwhile.

Awesome experience!
Tandem Master: Miki
Videographer: Warren

My Husband and I went here to do our first ever skydive for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We opted to get the video and  photo stills of our experience. It was well worth the money to document our first skydive and our anniversary. The staff was great,  put us both at ease, and made the whole experience very fun.

Pricing for tandem skydives and video are about the same across the board in this area, here were the reasons i picked STF...

It is locally owned and operated, a VERY important factor to me.

You pay AFTER you land safely on the ground.

The price I was quoted on the phone was the same price i was quoted and charged when I arrived at the facility.

All in all an unmatchable experience!

Costs: Tandem sky dive (for beginners, dive attached to instructor): $149, diving solo - $20 per dive (to dive solo you must go through 7-8 training jumps and a weekend course - not sure how much all that costs).  This was the cheapest sky dive from our research relatively close to midtown Atlanta.
Video dvd + CD with stills: $80 - doesn't seem worth it at 1st but when you see everyone else's it's pretty cool to get such good shots of you jumping out of a plane.
What to bring: yourself, wear athletic clothing, and that's it! You have the option of wearing a long sleeve/long pant jump suit over your clothes but that's optional.
Instructors: very cool guys, and so nice!  They take you step by step in what you have to do and it's not complicated.
Routine: You get there sign your life away and pay.  Wait for instructors to suit you up in the gear which takes - 5 min to do it.  Get on a bus to ride to air strip which is about 10 minutes away.  Take a plane ride for 10 minutes until you reach 14,000 feet.  Then you jump!!  Your camera guy jumps with you and your instructor if you got the video option. Going last makes you super nervous seeing everyone just drop from the plane so go 1st if you're already jittery. Total free fall: 60 sec then parachute engaged. After that you can glide down and do some spins for 10 min.  Landing was really smooth - you stick your legs out and slide on the grass to finally land on your butt.  Camera man lands way before you and that's where you target your landing (that's why he has a smaller parachute in order to fall faster), so he gets all of your landing and immediate post-dive interview.
Summary: This was my 1st time sky diving and it was sooooo awesome. I would definitely do it again. The scariest thing was jumping off the plane and feeling like you will barf up your stomach, but after that the fall  is not so bad!
