The moral of this story is always wear sunblock and a big ass floppy hat.
I had the unfortunate "pleasure" of spending my whole day last Friday at the Skin Cancer Surgery Center.
Dr. Bricca and his team used the Mohs procedure on two basal cell carcinomas that I had on my face.
The staff is professional but pretty friendly. The waiting room (which you spend a LOT of time in) is well appointed with many leather recliners & footrests, lots of magazines, free cookies & decaf coffee. There is a refrigerator for patient use, too, so you can bring your own lunch.
They even have hand-held video games available at the front desk (I didn't partake because I had my video iPod to keep me amused).
It's too soon to tell how well Dr. Bricca & company did on the reconstruction (i.e. skin grafts & skin flaps so I'll edit this review at a later date ... this may turn out to be a 5 star experience).
