I came out with one eyebrow more arched and shorter than the other.
I also didn't know that my appointment time would be shared with 4 other girls. So basically, it was first come first serve. I didnt wait too long, but it was weird to have an appointment and wait 5 minutes or so for the 3 other girls to be finished first.

Oh the memories! Skin Adore was the very first place where my eyebrows got de-virginized by a piece of thread. I heard about the place from my cousin who used to live in Union City. I didn't know a single place in San Jose that offered threading so I used to make the trek to Newark just to get my eyebrows done (Way before gas prices went bezerk). Sunita, the owner, never failed me. She was sweet, accomodating, and really good at getting my brows shaped. They were never too thin and always came out perfect. I would always get compliments from people. I remember I was able to walk in without making an appointment on certain days and pay $8 to get them done. As Sunita got popular, the wait time got so long to the point that she no longer accepts walk-ins. Most of the time, due to overbooking, she would end up doing rush jobs, in which the quality of her work started to diminish. In addition, she raised the price to $13. So instead of five stars, I docked it 3.5. I love Sunita, but for the price she charges, I can get both my eyebrows and lip threaded in San Jose for the same and I don't have to worry about wasting gas.

I have been going to Sunita for almost 10 years and she is the best....that's it, end of story. Where else can you get shaping like that for that price. For all of you that have never tried threading go see Sunita at Skin Adore, she is the best.
I docked a star off for price. She raised it to $13 for threading!! But maybe it's all relative since I know how to thread myself. So I really only go to her for shaping rather than cleaning. She's good. She's REALLY good. I don't like my eyebrows too thin, so I'll just tell her what I want, and she delivers. Now why can't all beauticians do that? Is that so much to ask for?
Can't speak on her other services as I only go to her for shaping my eyebrows. But I definitely recommend her for eyebrows.

Sunita was really nice and helpful for me making the transition from waxing to threading. Although i have tried threading in the past and had a painful experience. She was attentive to what i wanted and assured me she wouldnt give me really feminine eyebrows and told me she had many other straight male clients as well so that was reassuring. Was quick and painless and at a really good price. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that wants nice clean brows. BTW
nothing wrong with keeping myself pampered. =D nh.

Sunita used to be my 5 star, but recently she became not so great, She is pretty busy now and don't accept walk-ins.
I have quite hairy face but even though I take appointment for full-face, she is so in rush to finish my face that she uses wax, I reminded her many times that I get rash by wax, but she never cared, so I gave up and keep going to her salon since she was the only one I knew,
I felt like by paying ~ $50, I am not getting any good service,
recently I found another place, which is way cheaper and caring. If you don't have a hairy face, she is good on eyebrow and upper lip.

Sunita is the best!!! I've been coming here regularly since an old coworker introduced me to her a few years back. She does an excellent job of shaping/cleaning my brows with her delicate threading skills! She always seems to make the pain more bearable, as she's very quick and precise. It's only $13 for eyebrows.
Her little shop is also super clean and cute - she just repainted recently. She always greets you with a smile and takes you inside a separate room, where you lay down while she works on you. It's sooooo much more comfortable than having to sit up and bend your head back, as I've had to do at other salons before meeting Sunita.
She can get super busy and books up pretty quickly so it's best to call ahead and make an appt. If you've never tried threading, give it a shot and you won't be disappointed!
I won't trust anyone else to touch my brows!

YES, Skin Adore is great! I went there for my first time today after reading all of the glowing reviews and I am NOT DISAPPOINTED! Not only did Sunita do a great job fixing my brows, but she showed me where I needed to grow it since one side was 'over-tweezed' due to my eagerness to do it myself one time. Not everyone takes the time to teach their clients...sad, but true. Am I going back again?!? YOU BET!

I have never gotten my brows threaded and I was getting married in Janurary. I read reviews about Sunita and put my brows in her hands. She is very beautiful and very sweet. I went in for my scheduled appointement and it was standing room only, but she let everyone know that she will do her scheduled appointments first then do the walk ins. She is quick and painless and amazing. I am going to be a loyal client.

Sunita is well experienced, does a great job on my brows (threading), and is very friendly.
I leave satisfied after every visit. Best of all, it's a quick in and out on days where I might be busy or in a hurry. No need for an appointment if you come early, however she might be busy towards the later part of the day. If that's the case, it'd be a good idea to make one. I always just drop in early in the morning w/out an appointment.

First and foremost, this is my very first review... EVER! And I signed up for yelp today just to write a review on my experience at Skin Adore.
By far, this is the BEST EYEBROW SHAPING I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I started plucking my eyebrows since the 7th grade and back then I must have done a horrid job because my brows never grew back to its full natural state. I know it will never grow back ever again, but at least I wanted my eyebrows to look somewhat symmetrical. I went to numerous salons around the bay area and had them waxed to even them out but the outcome was never satisfying. Then one of my friends referred me to Sunita... and OMG, I will never let anyone touch my eyebrows except for Sunita ever again! She is so wonderful and threads with precision. Threading is so much better than waxing in many ways such as:
1. Does not irritate skin
2. Less painful
3. Does not leave messy wax residue that most waxing places overlook to clean up.
4. In my opinion, lasts a couple days longer than waxing
5. A much more sanitary procedure than having wax from a communal jar placed on your face..
It only takes about 5 minutes on both brows and costs only $13!!!! Which is always a plus!
She only takes appointment becauses she is always booked... of course, cause she's the best!
You really need to try it for yourself.. I mean shoot! I signed on to yelp just to make this review! Thats how good it is =)

Wanted to get my face threaded so i decide to try Sunita. Great women, really nice, and pretty. I got my face threaded in about 5 mins, and walked out paying $35 bucks. The threading was $30 bucks and tipped her $5 bucks. Ended up with a bad rash for a few days afterwards. The asian style type threading consists of white powder put on your face, then threading. She didn't use anything but thread, which i guess irritated my skin. Went home and checked out my face. She had missed quite a few spots on my face.. like my forehead and didn't even do my brows. Kinda disappointed for the price i paid, but can't find anyone that threads face around fremont. Don't think i would go back.... i guess it's not that worth it for me cause i don't have much facial hair. She said most of her clients are Indians and they tend to have more hair, so ii guess it's more worth the money for them.
After reading all these reviews, how can I not want to go here?
I normally go to Threads Beauty Bar in Dublin but since I work in Fremont, Skin Adore is a lot more convenient. I called on a Thursday morning for an appointment and she gave me the 1:10 p.m. slot for that very same day.
The place looks a little barren when you first walk in so I suggest maybe some chairs, decor or something? Sunita took me to the first little room on the left. I felt so comfortable on the towel covered bed surrounded by blue & purple painted walls.
She drew on my eyebrows a little for measurements and then told me what she was going to do (let one of my eyebrows grow a bit because they were different lengths). The whole threading process took about 10 mins and it was sooooo clean!! She says she's been doing this for about 6 years or so.
Price: $13.

Best eyebrow shaping/fixing ever!!
I have tried practically every threading place in Fremont and Newark and ended up soing to San Ramon - yes San Ramon - to a woman there. But. alas, NO MORE!!! Sunitha is the best. She made my asymetrical, one higher than the other, one straight, one curvy eyebrows look amazing. Ok they still need to grow backa lil bit but wow what a difference!!! I cant wait to go back again!!

Sunita is awesome with threading which I m sure you can guess from all the other reviews.She is also great for waxing.I got tons of waxing done a few days ago and she was patient and meticulous with the whole deal.She kept talking all the while and paid attention everytime I had an "ouch" or "eeks".....

sunita is indeed the BEST! i met her at the 1st indian wedding that i did mendhi at in 2001. she said that i should pay her a visit...i think that was a hint, but since then, i have only gone to 1 other person and that was a HUGE mistake. (she is very patient and gentle with waxing my hairy mexican soccer player-like legs too.) i will drive more than 30 miles for less than 5 minutes of work because she is kind, gentle, fast and she has a great singing voice too...betcha didn't know that!
I've been meaning to write a review for Skin Adore for a couple months but now I've finally had the time! I've been going here for more than a year now and I don't think I trust anyone more than Sunita when it comes to threading and sculpting my eyebrows. I remember the first time I came into Skin Adore and Sunita explained and drew on my eyebrows to tell me which spots needed to grow so they can be shaped correctly. Even then did my eyebrows look better than ever! But I did what she had told me to do and came back several weeks later and let me tell you, she's FABULOUS! She's very fast, very friendly, and a pro at what she does. I've told many friends about her and every single one has told me how much they love going to her, and are now regulars at her shop. She knows what she is doing, you will not go wrong with going to Skin Adore!
I've been going to Skin Adore for over 4 years now on and off. At first I was really hessitant since I thought that no one could shape my eyebrows as good as some guy did in Mexico. lol Boy was I wrong, now I can't trust no one but Sunita, SHE"S THE BEST!

I just went to see Sunita yesterday and boy she was so gorgeous! Haha... All I could say was Hi! You're sooo pretty!...
Anyway, aside from being that gorgeous esthetician, she was very friendly and accommodating! I was late for about 10 minutes.. by the time I got there, it was 5:55 pm and she was going to close at 6. But there she was waiting for me! She did a great job cleaning my eyebrows... Maybe next time, I'll ask her to shape them.. but it was really great... It was even... :) And very quick too! Her prices are very reasonable... $13 for eyebrows and $5 for upper lip. I used to go to other places which charged more than that but didn't deliver as much.
So happy I found her! She's really very nice.. you almost feel like she's your older sister! :)

of all the threaders I have been to, Sunita is the most gentle & by far the best I have gone to!
Recommendation: Call to make an appt. There were a couple walk-ins and they had to wait bcuz everyone else had an appt.
Told her that I would rec her to alot of my friends! Now let's just hope she doesn't raise her prices!

Sunita (the owner) is the best! I have been going to her for over 3 years now and, so far, she is the best, at a reasonable price, and fast as heck (in and out in less than 5 minutes!). I was previously going to some place in San Carlos and she was over 50 bucks for brows and upper lip!!! It was so not worth it and that person did not shape my brows well as Sunita does ... FYI, brows are now $13 and upper lip $5.

i love sunita!!! she is so cute and great. she makes threading a very pleasant and FAST experience. she can thread the upper lip in less than 1 minute, and she only charges $5. be sure to make an apptmt, b/c she is very busy! closed on sundays! she also waxes for those who are afraid to thread.

Ok, so let me start off by saying that I've had bushy eyebrows and acne all my life. I learned about Skin Adore through Yelp and let me just say it was love at first sight. Sunita (the owner) is amazing and so pretty and did the best job on my eyebrows and upper lip in the fastest amount of time possible. After I got my threading done (which didn't hurt at all!) I made an appointment for an acne facial with her beautiful partner, Sonia. It was great. The facial made my skin feel so refreshed and clean, and brought down so much of my acne. The prices at Skin Adore for threading and facials is so worth it and reasonable. I have found a wonderful spot in little Newark and will continue to go back for all of my esthetic needs from now. Try Skin Adore, it's so great!

When I was a kid, my sister told me that I had eyebrows like Leonid Brezhnev. A friend's sister finally performed the "ice, seabreeze and tweezer" technique for my first eyebrow primping. Where was Skin Adore and threading back then!? Threading is an Indian technique for hair removal, which is less painful than tweezing and waxing. If you don't mind a lack of ambiance (a divey strip mall) and you have $10 to spare, you can have your eyebrows whipped back into high-maintenance shape in less than 5 minutes!

i'm jumping on the threading bandwagon. i heard about threading for the first time in singapore a few years ago. i didn't get all the details but when someone said it was like getting all the unwanted hairs plucked off your face very quickly, i thought it sounded painful and barbaric. why i had such a reaction, i don't know. fear of the unknown, i guess.
fast forward 5 years and i decided to give it a shot since there is a place near my office and i'm over dealing with the possibility that the wax used could be too hot or i could be allergic to it. i'm lucky i have good skin and i don't like to mess it up.
sunita was really nice and sweet and made the whole process bearable. the threading itself felt like a bunch of hairs were being plucked at once. i didn't get a look at how the thread was positioned but i got the impression she was cat's cradling my eyebrows and in the end, they looked fantastic.
it was quicker than waxing because she didn't have to pluck any strays and i'm not red. yay sunita.

Sunitha is amazing. I was a walk-in and lucked out that she had a few moments available. Do make an appointment. She's clearly in demand.
It was my first experience with threading and I'm probably spoiled now for going to anyone else! She was so fast, so careful, and so GOOD! My brows haven't looked this good in... well, probably ever.
