Oh my gosh! It's been a minute since I've been on "quads" -- roller skates that is.  Upon putting on my rented skates  and getting use to the weight of them and of course the mere fact that I'm rolling on these things, admittedly, I was a little nervous.

I had talked some good trash talk to one of my friends a week prior leading up to this past Thursday night and told her "don't be skurr'ed", "bring it on", "do you even know how to skate?" -- you know friendly trash talk like that.  I was ready to "show off" (clearing my throat) and teach the chica a thing or two.  I went with my friend Toni, expecting to see my other friend there so we could "skate battle", but did she show up, no she didn't-- can you believe that?  She was skurr'ed. (just kidding)

The facility is in really good condition, it's kept very clean and organized.  The staff was friendly and I really enjoyed the music too-- I'm really picky about music in places and how it's organized by the DJ. Oh, the parking lot does have a goodbit of pot holes-- interesting I know, but be careful driving through there in your slick ride :-) ...the only reason it gets four.

The skating rink floor was beautiful-- clean and it looked like an almost fresh coat of lacquer glistening from the floor.  Also, I'll have you know I did not fall on that pristine gloss not even once-- yeah! that was very exciting!

I must send out mad props to the "Bull City Jammers"-- these guys/girls do smooth dance or jam routines in their quads.  I saw some of the most amazing moves.  They were in the center of the rink battling each other-- it reminded me of the way guys would break dance in NYC back in the day-- very competitive yet fun atmosphere.

Skating is so much fun and it's an excellent form of exercise-- you're working your whole body.  It's the kind of exercise that doesn't feel laborious or monotonous-- tons of fun and there are great skaters there who are more than willing to teach you how to jam skate too!  I'll be a pro jam skater real soon!
