I love sucking head.

The head of a crawdad! Get yo' mind out of that gutter!

Ever since my relatives from Louisiana brought back crawdads for us to eat here in Cali, I've been on a mission to find crawdads in the Bay Area that are prepared just as good as they do it down South.

For a while there, it was looking bleak...

And then *drumroll, please*, thanks to my reliable Yelper buddies- I found Crawdaddy!!! *Gospel choir singing, "Hallelujah!"*

Oh you delightful little crawdads in all your cajun spiced, garlicky glory- you don't stand a chance against me and my head sucking lips!!

What? Everyone knows sucking the head is the best part!

Seriously, you gutter minded people, Crawdaddy has some damn good crawfish here. They almost rival those that my aunts brought back from Louisiana. The shrimp here are also quite delectable- plump, juicy, and oh so satisfying.

This place is great for a sexy, sensual date too. Think about it: Both of you wearing a fetching, eye-catching bib, garlicky juices dribbling down your chin, and both of you sucking the hell out of those heads.

Does anything else scream romance more?!

Aside from the perfect blend of flavorful spices, great hospitable service, and friendly atmosphere...this is the only Cajun restaurant that doesn't give me the tummy bubblations afterward. ..and that is worth a ____load of stars, baby!

Recently I haven't enjoyed meals outside home but this place beat it.
I got the red bugs w/ spicy, and yes it was spicy, good thing I didn't get greedy with that f-up your stomach ideology I have with spicy food.

- Good Cajun spiced fries.  Fried shrimp was a bit undercooked.
- Is there any other way to get that sauce out of the bag?
- Am I the only one flying them bugs out while popping?
- Music gets too loud and gets irritable.  I'm trying to eat, not dance with them bugs.

Things don't get much better than sucking on saucy shrimp heads while Geto Boys' "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta" plays in the background.
My bf and I shared a heaping pound each of crawfish and shrimp with corn and cajun fries, but the crawfish proved to be a lot of work and fairly small. Next time we're sticking with the shrimp and delicious corn, and if I get the courage, I'm going to have to ask for a copy of the sweet mixtape they bump.

I was brwosing on Yelp today because works sucks. That's a whole other review in tiself..SO
I saw reviews for Crawdaddys and it got me hungry and craving for crawfish, shrimp and cajun fries..mmmmmm.

So then I started talking about this with co-workers and one co-worker said that she comes to Crawdaddy frequently and it's yummy.
Well, we all got talking and made plans to go.

My freakin' co-workers all flaked at the last minute so I called my boy toy and said "We're going to Cradaddy's STAT!"
We took my baby and were on our way. It's true that it's not really kid friendly. There is nothing on the menu that kids can eat. Good thing my kids like spicy food. She ate the chicken strips and some corn on the cob but the cajun fries were spicy and resulted in her whimpering that she they were "hot momma".

Poor kid. The owner was there and kept comng by and asking if we enjoyed our food and talking to our daughter. He was a really sweet older man and was joking around with the patrons.

WE got shrimp and crab legs. I was too hungry to mess around with the crawfish although at the end of my meal I regretted not getting them. They looked delish!

Our food was great. the shrimp was soft and not dry at all. you can tell they use very fresh food. I loved it! The garlic butter sauce for my crab legs has hue chunks of garlic in them ...yum!

I would recommend this place with a group of people. the food was great, the service was excellent and it has some bumpin' music. The prices were very reasonable too. I was epxpecting it to be more expensive since it's fresh seafood but it was great. I'll definetly go again :)

I've been lurking around Yelp for a long time but have always been too shy (or lazy...) to really bang out any reviews. Well, I decided it's time I put my two cents and where better to start than the restaurant I've been craving ever since I left their front door: Crawdaddy.

I've only had crawfish twice so far, but I can tell it's going to be a lifelong addiction. The spices, juices, and flavor just don't get any better. It's a lot of work for not a lot of meat, but it's well worth it all the same.

Crawdaddy is a great place to go with a bunch of friends to just pig out and have a good time. It's clean, modest place, no frills or decorations. There aren't even utensils. You get a bib (which I strongly suggest you use) and a roll of towels, you're on your own for the rest. We had crawfish (mild, which was already pretty spicy), shrimp, fried catfish, chicken tenders, and cajun fries. Everything was dee-lish. While the crawfish was my favorite, you gotta get some other stuff for when your fingers get weary of all the cracking and picking.

Be warned: everything comes out extremely hot and crawfish-related injuries do occur. Bring a band-aid.

Rice? Bread? Starch???
BUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Man forget the bread and rice.....I got to watch my feminine figure after all. Straight protein and veggies for me.....(is shrimp n crawdads protien? and what about alcohol.....I was told it comes from vegetables so that's healthy right?)

So, yeah....I give'em 5 stars...one for each of  5 odd hours I was there with the SVC clan .....gawd damn we f'd that place up. Mad props to Tai...he's a great guy and his staff is very tolerable all things considered. The food comes in three distinct levels of "hot." Since I'm a pansy I dare only try the mild or the medium...it's all my palate can handle. Even then, I think we had a taste of everything....from the crawdads to the shrimp to the crab etc etc. Hell I think someone even ordered chicken tender things. It was a good time....dare I say a great time...especially when I think of all the heads I sucked in front of people. Apparently sucking on heads grosses some people out...lulz

Oddly enough, I sometimes dream of this place... Ilove the sauces that the food simmers in.......hmmmmmmm I guess I could spend the time to eat the ears of corn and sausages we ordered too....but I'd rather spend my time eating the shrimp. I have a shrimp fixation....as good as the crawdads are.....I'll be ordering the shrimp here on out.

BTW
Mikey...sorry man.....thought you left...if I had known I would have made more fun of you over your passed out self.

SVC - we have to go back again sometime sooner or later

So we went on this cajun marathon and tried about 5 places in the south bay and even boiling crab in LA. Crawdaddy has the  best crayfish and shrimp by far.

the cajun shrimp is REALLY good. Their medium is very spicy though so order with caution, The crayfish are good too. Sometimes they are smaller than others.. i guess it really depends on the inventory when you get there.

All the food comes out in a plastic bag - its a big mess! but fun. be prepared to do lots of work for little meat if you order the crayfish but the work is so worth it.

The clams are kind of griney. I've ordered them about 5 times and each time, it feels like you are eating sand, needless to say, I don't order them anymore.

The fried oysters are good, just don't bite into them right away unless you want bigger lips due to 3rd degree burns.

In the past, the crayfish used to come with sausage and corn included in the bag but now, they charge you for it.

Don't order the pepsi, the fountain drinks there taste a lil funny.

My girlfriend found out about this place through yelp and her mother had recently been with some colleagues, all with positive reviews, so we decided to try it and I am glad we did.
My girlfriend and I ordered 1 pound of crawfish, 1 pound of cajun garlic butter shrimp, and the cajun fries. The shrimp were very good and were cooked whole so if you are a fan of peel and eat shrimp you will really like them. The crawfish had good flavor but being reluctant to suck the head we only ate the meat in the tails which was pretty wasteful and until we get the courage to suck the body I think we will pass on the crawfish. The cajun fries were french fries with their cajun seasoning and were not greasy like a lot of places.
We recently got some shrimp to go and even though they let them cool down a little before giving them to us and sending us on our way they were starting to get a little mushy when we finally got home and started eating them (about 15 minutes later). While they do offer their menu to go, I highly recommend eating there (plus you can use their bibs and dirty their paper tablecloths, which is inevitable unless you are a neat freak.
All in all, a great place for shrimp and crawfish if you like them. One day I will try their steamed king crab legs. yumm...

I only have one complaint.  Why don't they open earlier than 3 p.m.????  We got there at 3 on the dot and there was already people waiting to get in.  My hubby's family is from Louisiana and he was champing at the bit for some good catfish.  Well, he was not disappointed!  Delicious.  Crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside.  The fries were a little salty for my taste, but they were spicy and delicious.  I had the shrimp boil and besides being a ton of work to eat they are simply scrumptious.  Now, being a white girl by birth I am not used to eating things with a face.  That being said...it was so worth it and I was over the whole "face" thing in minutes.

Definitely the best Creole/Cajun place I've been to in years.

OK sooo i was quite disappointed when I came back... My cousin had the worse experience! the waitress spilled soda all over our table and all over my cousin's jeans and did not even APOLOGIZE! I REPEAT DID NOT NOT NOT NOT APOLOGIZE NOR DID SHE GIVE HER A RE-FILL.... until one of my friends asked for one.. i felt bad for my friend because I picked this spot to have dinner and It was her first time eating here and she didn't have a good experience i also realize that this place isn't kid-friendly which disappoints me because my poor child couldn't eat anything! everything was to spicy for her at least make some chicken fingers that aren't to spicy or macaroni or something!  overall.. besides it being NOT kid-friendly and the lady spilling soda all over our tabel and not apologizing!! i HATE TO ADMIT I STILL LIKE THEIR SHRIMP =X , but i wont be coming here for a while!

My cousin brought over crawdads for a family gathering one time and ever since that day i was really craving crawdads. I went here after school one day, probably got there at around 2:30 but the place was closed, I didn't know it opened at 3 so later on that day I came back because I was really really craving it! I ordered 1 lbs. of crawdads (hot) to go..The girl that worked there asked me if i wanted corn and sausage which was 50 cents each and I got 2 of each. The total came out to be almost $14. I was a little disappointed about how many were in a bag for that price, but i guess 1lb is 1lb. The crawdads themselves were really good I love the sauce that they're in and you should definitely have rice or bread to eat the sauce with. Good clean place overall I'll come back and try some other things.

I like the atmosphere here.  Inviting, unpretentious, friendly & clean.  The staff is super easy going and on point.  My favorites are the house Crawfish & Shrimps, medium hot.

My only gripe is that the crab wasn't live, seemed previously frozen.  Maybe crab was out of season?  None the less, the flavors are awesome.

This place is an awesome find! I checked it out on yelp, and thought that it sounded spiffy, and then my mom mentioned that one of her work friends absolutely loved this place for their bucket o' shrimp style shrimp, so then the deal was sealed, we had to give it a shot.

There is absolutely nothing fancy about this restaurant, which is good, because any nice decorations would get squirted with juice from shrimp and crawdads. And it seems to be a family run establishment, or at least that's what I am hoping, as the service was a little bit slow and inconsistent. But the good food and decent prices really make up for any of that.

Personally, I would stick to the shrimp, just because I am not a fan of sucking the brains and nastiness out of the head of the crawdads, so it seems like a waste to get them just for the tails. But the Cajun fries, and the shrimp are awesome! We got the medium, and they aren't kidding about their spices, delicious. I would be afraid of their really spicy stuff though, hehe, it's ok, you can call me a wimp.

I can't wait to go back and try some more of their food. And how can you beat a $3 Heineken in a restaurant? Oh, and here's a word of advice, ditch the pride and wear the bib. The juice really will get on it at least once. I'm glad that I did.

BYOR= Bring your own rice.

This isn't your Louisiana Creole or Cajun style crawfish boil you strain then dump out on a table with newspapers spread out.  These crawdads are boiled in a sauce that is so hot you think your lips got a shot of Novocain.  The crawdads are served in a plastic bag swimming in the most amazing sauce.  I kept dipping my little plastic cup in the bag so I could have sauce to dip my seafood in.  Anyone who's ever had crawdads know their a lot of work for a little bit of meat.  The shrimp is easier, faster and more meat.  Don't forget to order the crab too.  Even with their hard shells the flavor still found a way to get to the delicious meat inside.

TIPS:
BYOR= Bring your own rice.  (Just bring anything you can pour the sauce on or bread you can dunk in the sauce)
Wear black.
Medium sauce for crawdads and shrimp.
Hot sauce for crab.

Crawdaddy is DOMAI amazing! This is for the true seafood lover that doesn't mind getting down and dirty for a good time. No utensils necessary, just a baby's bib for your protection. Your food also comes in a plastic bag..how exotic is that? I never knew that Cajun food is a Vietnamese thing.

We got the mild garlic shrimp, the fish and chips, and the fried oysters plus corn and sausage. Everything exceeded my expectations...domai! The shrimp is plump, juicy, and very flavorful. The cajun spice was perfect along with the garlic and bay leaf concoction. Don't let the juice go to waste...i dipped my fries into it. The fish was extra crispy and the inside was moist. It was so good I didn't even need the tartar sauce. I wish I got more corn and sausage because they just soaked up the juice and were the perfect side dish. Oysters were good too but I wouln't get them again because they were so small and expensive. This whole package was only 31 dollars before tip.

The place wasn't too nice but that didn't bother me when the food came out. The service was excellent. We had the cutest waitress that was so helpful, friendly, and attentive. Since it was our first time, she gave recommendations and really cared about our satisfaction.

I'll be back to try the king crab and maybe even the crawfish. Excellent place for a date! Your woman will love it.

I came here for my niece birthday and it was good food! The food is going to spicy, hot, but very tasty. The crawdads and shrimp we had are nicely boiled and well seasoned! They come in a plastic bag and with the crawdads, you get corn and a sausage.
If you like spicey crawdads and shrimp you have to try this place. Service was good and price seem decent.

****To be fair...I attended this restaurant thanks to a UYE last night****

How could I have missed such a super duper joint!
Showed up with MRS. Bionic, and met up with all the letters of the alphabet A, B,Colleen, D, and Randy.  We were later joined by AJA.

Placed my order for a pound of mild crawfish. I did not want my lips to tingle.  Poor Randy waited forever for his food, and when my food came out sooner than his, we both realized that I was accidentally served hit HOT by mistake.  We were having so much fun...that we did not mind.  Once I received my steaming bag, I knew I was in for a treat.
Tragically, crawfish are soooooo much work for such little protein!  I mean, you break that crunchy little sucker in half, peel off the shell, grab the tail and munch. I REFUSED TO EAT THE HEAD/BRAIN WHATEVER.  SORRY...not so much.  Randy kept shouting..."suck the head, suck the head."  NO thanks.

Mrs. Bionic ordered the crab, and it was delish.  It was a pretty penny, and I tend to prefer mine just steamed with lemon.  We also shared some cajun fries, and those were wonderfully HOT.  I also sampled some of D's catfish, and it was good.

Overall, super awesome southern joint, right in the heart of Sillicon Valley. I am a fan...
Thanks to Thai for letting Yelp take over on a Tuesday night!

Came here for the UYE last nite...I'd heard something about crawfish but I really had no idea what I was in for.

Said Hi to the fab Yelpers..sat down, ordered up a crab and some crawfish to share with my female better half aka +1 for the evening. The wait was a little long, most likely due to the hordes of Yelpers clogging the small place but the waitresses were awesome about checking in with you and bringing water or iced tea or whatever while you waited.

The medium spicy crab was just right, we accidentally started chowing on the FIRE crawfish platter thinking it was our mild...SO not the case. Crab was really yummy and the little crawfish tails were good...but I was SO not sucking on the heads like everyone was saying to get out the flesh, guts, whatever else.

So, because I wasn't into eating the rest of the little mud bugs...the crawfish were not my favorite. The crab was very tasty, but a little pricey for the amount of meat. Something like $33 and I wasn't even remotely full when all was said and done. The cajun fries helped fill the void. Had a few bites of a leftover fried catfish, I loved the breading on this thing, divine with a little tartar sauce.

We'll definitely be returning, my married better-half will absolutely LOVE the fried catfish and the crab...and it's not too far from home so it's fabulous. Yelp comes through again with the fab food-broadening-horizons. Thanks Thai for creating an a comfy place where you can grub on random shellfish.

OMG!! Crawdaddy has the best shrimp ever!!! I've tried several craw fish places and this is one of the one's that gets 5 Stars from me...

The french fries are nice and seasoned with spices... Yummmm The shrimp is so juicy and full of flavor. (I get the Mild Buttered Shrimp - Yes I'm a loser! lol I can't handle spicy!!) I also get corn and  sausage in my shrimp, which is sooooo delish... 2,000,000 Calories & Fat later... Eeeek!

I do have to say that the customer service sucks... The waitress forgot about us and never took my order. So I asked her again who else can I order from and she says "Oh shoot I forgot! I can take it" -- WTF Why didn't she take it in the first place???

The owner though is hilarious - he always comes out to greet the customers to make sure they are having a pleasant experience...

Very interesting.    Eating out of a hot bag of crawfish.    Question:  Is there a difference between eating out of a bag or throwing it on the table for everyone to pick through?

The last time I had crawfish was over at a co-workers party.    His family had everything laid out on the patio table and we all ate like savages.   Plentiful.   Messy.   Fullfilling.
Last night's excursion was a reminder of that.    However, the idea of eating out of a plastic bag was a first time for me.   The concept of keeping all the natural flavors and ingredients intact created a delicious hot sauce.  This made the experience more fun to eat with a flavorful shellfish after taste.

The Art of Eating Crawfish (For Beginners)
Much like eating lobster but on a smaller scale.   Yes, this is the messy part but the fun while doing with company.

- Put on your bib and a have roll of paper towel or wet towel (you can also have a bowl of clean water to cleanse up)
- Break off the legs and claws
- Break off in half between the body and tail
- Rip into the tail shell and pick off the meat.
- Tear into the tiny body and head - this is where you slurp up the fat (one of the best parts).
- Done.  Repeat until you finish the bag.

Taste Test
I was able to indulge both the mild and spicy bags.  The crawfish portions were small but hearty enough for this evening.    Good flavor although I would have loved to taste more of a cayenne pepper and bay leaves.   Lime mixed with salt and pepper accompanied our meal giving it an additional sense of sourness.     After a few spicy crawfish, I began to sweat.   This is a clear indication to slow down and stop.   It's also a warning of what the morning biological time bomb is going to foretell.

Service & Highlights
Thank you to Tien and his attentive staff for taking on nearly 40 rowdy South Bay Yelpers on this night (06/03/08).   I look forward to another visit with my family and friends that want to get down and dirty with crawfish.    I'm going back for the deep fried shrimp - crunchy and spicy to perfection!

I always planned to eat at Crawdaddy at least two months ago but my regular dining buddy decided to see other dining buddies (sigh) so here I am with a pack of Yelp folks who came in early (how the heck did you guys manage to get here around rush hour traffic is beyond me since it took me 45 minutes to get to here from Menlo Park??)

As soon as I enter the premises, the smell of spiced shrimp and crab was heavenly. And to think I had to spend a good part of my holiday last year in Boston just to get some decent seafood! As I walk through the door, immediately I found the long table where I saw Yelpers wolfing down shrimp, oysters, spiced french fries and chicken tenders (whaaa??) Note to self: Never shake hands in Crawdaddy.

I just have one gripe though. As an asian who was born in asia and raised asian and eats like an asian (bwahahaha), I do like to have rice on the side when eating seafood. I feel like the juices that come in with each bag of seafood (Yup, thick bags of plastic) are wasted and you can still eat off them (if you want to bring them home of course). Maybe a side dish of shrimp or crab fried rice is appropriate?

By the way we stayed for at least 3 hours and the owners were so nice enough to let us be rowdy all this time :)

Also, Im surprised that this place is a lot of hot women coming in, thats pretty rare considering it's right next to Walmart (well you do have to factor it's also right next to Radioshack haha)

Very different from how Louisianan cooks theirs but the craw fish were pretty big and tasty. The shrimp boil was very sweet and fresh...awesome!  The Cajun fries was good. The catfish was very moist but I thought the batter is on the salty side and fish needs some seasoning. The fried shrimp was a 180 from the shrimp boil. It is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside but I do not taste the shrimp.

The service is very attentive and friendly.  Usually when I eat Cajun food, I tend to drink a lot of H2O. Everyone at my table had water; they should have gave us a pitcher of water. =)

It was my first time trying Crawdaddy's or Mug bugs.  I got the Medium spicy and it was just right.  They were delicious but I guess in order to appreciate the food you need to put some work into getting the juicy tender meat out.  It is a cross between like a shrimp and a lobster but I wish it had more meat on it besides just a big head, little claws, and small tail. The meat was just in the tail. Everything was very tasty and from the boil sauce.  I got so full I didn't even eat my corn. The hardest part of eating the is trying not to get the juiciest in your hair while you suck on the head.  The staff was really nice and the restroom was clean.  I had fun with all my fellow Yelpers and sorry for those customers if  we were to loud.  I would definitely go back.

Let me preface this review with one important fact:

I'm allergic to shellfish.

One might be thinking this could potentially be allergy hell but it was not. I give 5 stars to Crawdaddy Restaurant for the following:

1. Polite and attentive staff
2. Good chicken strips and fries
3. Clean tables
4. Clean restroom

The chicken strips were delicious, fried to perfection. The fries on the spicy side. The soda- sweet. So in the midst of potential allergy hell- spending an evening with my family and friends is always a good way to end the day!

Noelle's Notes: Good place for a casual family dinner- you know when you need a night off from cooking :)

I'm going to have to go against the grain as my fellow Yelpers. My experience wasn't 4 or 5 star worthy. We didn't receive the stellar service that all the Yelpers that attended the UYE Crawdaddy event raved about. Probably because they didn't know we were Yelpers? Just kidding, I don't know, but all I'm saying is that the service seems inconsistent and perhaps, preferential?

We ordered one lb of crawfish and one lb of shrimp (both MEDIUM), breaded butterfly shrimp w/ cajun fries, and chicken strips w/ cajun fries.

Ok first ding would be that this place is NOT kid-friendly AT ALL. That sucks! My friend April M. brought her daughter along (MY god-daughter... yes I'm a proud NINANG lol) and there are no kid-friendly food options (no spice on it) on the menu. NO juice beverage options, either. So we had to order a side of PLAIN FRIES and for some strange reason, it took 15-20 mins to come out! Poor child was starving but lost her appetite by the time it arrived... so it was left untouched and uneaten. What a waste.

Second ding would be about the service- Our server SPILLED one of our drinks all over the table, stood there and didn't even apologize. Did NOT make an effort to stop it nor clean up after it. All she said was "Oh my God"... but that was it. To add insult to injury, my soda-soaked friend (who was PISSED btw) had to ASK her for a refill (since she didn't even think to bring us a new drink after spilling ours). I mean, we all know that accidents happen, but we were MORE annoyed at the fact that she didn't even apologize. Sheesh. After this little fiasco, she disappeared and never checked up on us again (probably went to go hide out, lol). We never got refills on our drinks until we flagged her down and asked for the bill. Horrible. With this type of cuisine, drinks should always be kept full. We were parched for the majority of the dinner. o_O

Honestly, the crawfish isn't worth it to me, because I don't eat anything but the tail meat. I'm sorry, but I DON'T suck the brains like the menu encourages you to. I loved the shrimp though which is a better deal since it was cheaper than the crawfish and much more filling. The cajun fries were just thick fries with some type of cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. The butterfly shrimp was good, but they only give you 4 or so. I'm surprised that this place STILL has not offered rice on the menu after all these reviews BEGGING them to do so. Especially since this IS a Vietnamese-owned restaurant, with mostly Vietnamese clientele (as I noted during my experience). I read somewhere on another review that their excuse is that they're not offering jambalaya or gumbo? Seriously? It's REALLY not that hard to bring in a rice cooker, lol.

OOOO and what is up with all the gnats and bugs flying around? I felt like we were in the bayou or something.

where to begin where to begin eh?

me and this place have like this love hate relationship going on...i love this place cause the food is so good...and i hate to be without it...hahaha

as my second review i want to write about the place that me and leslie love going to.  now prior to crawdaddy ive never had crawfish cooked like this before.  we started coming here a few months ago and i have to make it a point that me and her come here atleast once a week.hahah..

starting off with the location.  kick ass location right on story WITH plenty of parking infront.  you walk in and you, right away, know that the food is good here simply cause its always packed.  the people that run the joint are super friendly.  and its not like that fake friendly where people smile at you and you know damn well they dont mean it. hahah.  the main servers, jasmin and the other girl (im so sorry if yer reading this i dont remember your name) are SUPER friendly.  The man that sometimes walks around to great the customers, tom is really a fun guy to have a conversation with.  thai, the owner, well ....lets just say that bro...i dont know how you cook such good food and be so skinny..hahha..if i owned your restaurant i wouldve gained 20 pounds the first week...thai is really cool and is very friendly when you speak with him.

okay on to the food.  ive made my way up to crawdaddy fire and i swear its dope.  i have not figured out how they cook the food but the crawfish are cooked so perfectly that the shells are so easy to peel but the body still keeps its BEST consistancy.  the sauce of the crawfish is perfect (little side note...take the crawfish home and eat it with rice...pour sauce all over the rice and i swear its like heaven).  with different levels of spicyness, the food is catered to how you like it.  but its not just crawfish...theyve also go cajun fried shrimp which is really good with a bottle of sam adams.  fresh oysters, and fries that will make you never want to go back to any other fast food place again also are on the menu.  i can feel myself getting fatter just writing about this place...

to sum up (cause i can go on forever about crawdaddy), you havent tried crawfish until youve gone down story, enter the plaza thats at the end of lucritia, make a left right when you see the hollywood video, and have parked infront of the big ass sign that says crawdaddy...:)

thai, jasmin, other server lady (SERIOUSLY ME AND LESLIE WILL GET YER NAME NEXT TIME..HA), tom, and the cooks.....hats off to you

peace

It's also my first time eating here.   I ordered the Crawdaddys in mild, these are the cutest little things.  But you need to work for the effort to get the tiny little meat out of their bodies.  And I'm a lazy seafood person, i usually don't eat lobster or crab because I hate getting my fingers dirty.  But I figured since this place is known for it, it's worth the effort to get a bit dirty.

I tried the shrimp, it's a bit spicy; but very delicious.  Unfortunately spiciness and my mouth don't get along.  So my lips and tongue were tingly before i ate my Crawdaddys.

The oysters were delicious too.

Unfortunately i found out after wards I'm allergic to Crawdaddys, the oddest thing is that I've eaten this little crustacean before.  But if you do try it, don't forget to bring some floss.

This place is very clean and the  waitresses were friendly.
After ordering your crawdaddys, the waitress hands you a bib (to protect your clothes from the upcoming messiness) .

Food was delicious. I tried the fresh oysters, crawdads, shrimp and french fries. However, the service was just ok. One of the orders at my party didn't come out until everyone else was finished. All in all it was good food and I'm sure I'll go back again.

Minus one star for me choosing to go on a day where the restaurant was being filmed and an UYE was occurring (no offense to other yelpers)... it was sooooo loud, I couldn't even hear my friend who was sitting across from me, and the service today was rather slow.

It was my first time having Cajun style crawfish, and so we decided to order a pound of both the shrimp and the crawfish including corn and sausage. The shrimp were really fresh, perfectly cooked, seasoned, and very sweet. The crawfish however were not my cup of tea... too murky tasting to me.... the corn was not heated through enough, and the sausages were really tasty.

I don't know what they put in their boils, but its soooooo good, I almost drank it!

Awesome food!  Good service!  Two plasmas showing ESPN?  Free bib?  What else can you ask for???

My girlfriend and I ordered 1 lb of the Boiled Cajun Crawfish w/Garlic & Butter ($10.88 per lb), one order of the Hand Battered Deep Fried Catfish w/Cajun Fries ($9.88), Corn on the Cob ($0.50), and one Pepsi ($2.50).  Total price was around $25.

The Garlic & Butter sauce they used on the crawfish and corn was really tasty!  We got medium on the spicy meter, and it was a definately spicier than we had anticipated!  Deeeee-licious nontheless!  You may think (which I used to), that eating crawfish wasn't worth it.  The reward (the meat) to work (breaking it open) ratio was very low...but this place changed my mind.  I think it was the sauce.  I bet that sauce would be awesome on anything!  The Catfish was really good as well.  Flaky and not dry!  That's what usually ruins it!  Their cajun fries were crunch (not soggy), and definately spicy!

If I'm EVER in the SJ area, I am going to stop by just to order 1 lb of crawfish and get my hands dirty!  Oh yeah, and for the free bib too!
