2 reviews for Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
The Tornado is the largest, most insane, and most pooppants exciting water slide I have ever experienced. Though the roller coasters are weak compared to Cedar Point and King's Island, the Tornado, in Hurricane Bay (or that's what it used to be called) is so monumental that Kentucky Kingdom completely redeems itself with four-stars.
Is the Superman still closed? That was totally fuct.
I'm not sure what possessed us to buy tickets to Six Flags while we were in Louisville. But we went. Younger kids were getting a kick out of the run down park with long lines and the mediocre roller coaster rides - but the adults? Not so much. Save your energy.
Kentucky Kingdom's redeeming quality: The water park. Even then, it felt a little trashy. Definitely understaffed and they kept having problems with glass in the tide pool. We saw at least seven people with bleeding feet.
The food at every restaurant is disgusting - it's all fried fast food or previously frozen. And I'll eat almost anything. The only semi - healthy place (Subway) was closed for business. Bring your own snacks and try to make it through the day without spending an additional $20 per person for sub par food.
Parking: $5.
Entry tickets: $34.99 (search for a promotional code online)
Unlimited locker rental: $11.
Drinks and Food: Minimum $12. +
EDIT 6/22 : A 13 year old girl severed her feet on the Tower of Power ride. Fuck this place entirely. http://www.indystar.co...
