5 stars for the new epic window display alone.

But then there are all the CUTE THINGS.

I want to have a baby just to stuff their precious little feeties into cute socks with femme ballet slippers. I want to have a million cunty pictures to put into translucent neon picture frames.

I love a design shop with style, and this is it.

Cutesy home gifts. Some local stuff, some not.

Easy to find a stocking stuffer-type gift for any person, especially this time of year.

Such a cute little store nestled in Astoria. It was easy to find, but is definitely situated away from most of the Astoria retail scene.

The items are all adorable and amazing, but a bit pricey, for sure. I gravitated toward SITE's sale bin, where I purchased a really great canvas print for $5.

I highly recommend this store for quality, hip tchotchkes.

Call me the 'typical dude'. I'm not one to go shopping for new knick-knacks, home decor, kitchen stuff, etc. for my apartment. That being said, I find SITE to be one of the more cooler stores in Astoria. Wide range of goods, great service and centrally located in Astoria. My gf and I picked up a cool looking platter styled to look like an old school board game. Next time we go, I'll have to convince my gf that those funky NYC borough pillows will go with our couch haha.

I LOVE Site! It seems to me like exactly the kind of place we need in Astoria. Whenever I need a ____ gift for ____ I always first think, "oh, I should check Site, their stuff is so cute!" I've sent adorable necklaces to friends in L.A., gotten cute cards and wrapping paper and let me tell you, once I know a small child who I can buy gifts for, they will all be coming from here.

It's right by the movie theater so it's pretty convenient to lots of things, the owner is always SO friendly and helpful and not at all pushy which I sometimes get nervous about when in shops like that.

The store is really cute and had a lot of unique stuff. I left with some great gifts for some friends. The only reason I didn't give more stars is because when I was there shopping I felt a little put off by the people working. I was literally ignored the entire time while they sat there chatting. No hello or anything. And this is a small place, it's not like they didn't see a customer in there lol. I love shopping local and supporting the small shops in my area. Yeah I may go back some day but I am not a dead set SITE fan cause I believe in good service and common curtousy as well.

I'm a huge fan of Site.  They have lots of great items from local artisans (jewelry, paraben free body lotions, clothing), cute baby and kid toys and clothes, a lot of NYC pride stuff and more.  I go there pretty much any time I need a gift, and always end up leaving with great stuff and something special for myself!  Mackenzi, the owner, is super friendly and helpful.  It's worth the trip to Astoria if you don't live here, but they also have a great online store.

This is a fun funky place with a great range of "ecclectica." The owner (I assume) was incredibly friendly and the prices were fairly good. Items seemed to range from good deal to wtf (which is to be expected when selling this type of williamsburg swag). You can stop in and pick up a little R2D2 flash drive for a few bucks, or splurge and get a gorgeous porcelain rhino head coat hook for $150.

In short, hipster swag without the hipster attitude.

This place is amazing. GREAT for unique hostess or office holiday gifts. No one else is going to have the stuff you find in here. Everyone from my 75 year old grandmother to my 3 year old cousin have received gifts from here, and each and every person has adored them.

I don't know what it is about this place, but it's one of two or three shops in the city that is pretty much always playing my theme music (i.e., songs that have personal meaning for me, are connected to strong memories, etc) when I walk through the door.

When I'm looking for gifts for friends, SITE is one of two places in the 'hood I am sure to check. Also, they stock a really nice selection of greeting cards.

But what really keeps me coming back to SITE is that nearly every time I'm in, I get something for myself--at the time, something I think I will use once in a while. But whether it's a necklace, a travel mug, a tiny notebook, or a cosmetics bag, I end up wearing or drinking from or writing in or using the stuff I get at SITE not occasionally, but pretty much all the time!

I find the baby stuff a bit too much, and wonder how fast it moves (they never seem to have anything new). But the rest of the shop is lovely. It's so great to be able to buy from a local, independent, woman-owned business.

I have a hard time not spending money when I walk into SITE.

First, I'm a fan of supporting local businesses. I'm especially a fan of supporting a local business that is awesome.

I can buy fancy hand cream and baby shower presents and adorable cards and I don't have to get on a train to do it. I just need to walk 6 blocks. It's very close to Studio Square, so I've encouraged my beer-garden-bound friends to do a SITE run before they start drinking (though, they'd buy more if they went after).

The owner has impeccable taste. I bought the cutest owl floor mat a few weeks back and I adore it wholeheartedly. She often offers discounts around holidays and whatnot, so that's a double good thing.

    SITE rocks.

I always enjoy walking into funky-fresh boutique shops.  Even more so if they carry Queens themed items.  For far too long we've lived in the shadow of a craft and random stuff community that has been enamored with Brooklyn!  Thank you SITE for your Queens pillows and bags.

Maybe one day I'll even buy some.

If you are a person who shops at Etsy or has ever heard of Etsy, then SITE will be a huge letdown. I went last weekend after reading about an "event" in Why Leave Astoria (http://www.whyleaveast...). Yes, I cheat on Yelp with Why Leave Astoria b/c Yelp well....just doesn't represent Queens/LIC/Long Island and I DO! BOOYAH!

Anyway, back to the review of SITE.
SITE is really not all that and a bag of chips. Yes, work with local artists, but just about everything looks like I could have found it in the home decor area at Urban Outfitters....in the clearance section and not pay the exorbitant price tag at SITE. I have been to SITE three times now and all of the merchandise is the same. Does anyone actually buy anything? I think not.

Each time I've been in, it's the same pot holders, stick-on-the-wall "art", candles, soaps, jewelry, deer/owl fuzzy thingies that belong in a dorm, etc.

A definite pass. If you want to support the artists, cool, but in that case, head over to The Market (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) for some artist-friendly shopping (you an also meet + speak to the artists)

How can anyone who reps Astoria have a complaint with SITE?? Or dare to compare it to a store like Urban Outfitters?? Urban Outfitters rips off indie designers, stealing their designs and then mass-producing them with inflated prices. SITE carries (and supports) the work of independent designers from all over the country (and the world!) with special attention given to local artists. The store goes above and beyond the role of a typical "boutique" by hosting free parties for the community a couple times a year that feature refreshments, music, and products from local artists.

Aside from all that, the store itself is beautiful and meticulously curated, with unique products beautifully displayed. I know that every time I swing by SITE, they are gonna have something new and interesting to see.

Moreover, as anyone in Astoria can attest, the area around SITE has, in recent years, become overrun with chain stores (Starbucks, Carvel, Applebees, etc) It's wonderful, inspiring and refreshing to see an independent, female-owned business, surviving and thriving in that area. Long live SITE!!

I have no choice but to agree wholeheartedly with the other posters. I adore this little shop. Truly, I always feel a bit awkward in such a small shop, when I'm perhaps the only shopper, and the sales clerk is the only other person. This has happened a few times when I'm in Site. But the gal running things is personable and friendly-- she's not pushy or snooty, and that can go a long way in the atmosphere of a boutique, you know?

The pieces that were selected for sale there are all charming/well-crafted/clever/beautiful, etc. A lot of thought went into this store, and it's not lost on me, or apparently, the other shoppers.

SITE is a magical treasure box of wonder and delight.  I was in there for three hours chatting with the owner, Mackenzi, and every few minutes I would discover a new delight!  It's not huge, but at the same time it is chock full of goodies.  It's absolutely worth the trip from Brooklyn, though the rumor mill tells me Mackenzi is vending at the Brooklyn Flea Market soon.

My dog loves the pink argyle squeaky bone I scored her and the map-printed clutch I bought is really durable and was a bargain for something handmade at a boutique ($7).

I have a list a mile long of gifties I want from there that I recall from my maiden voyage:
    *glittery dangly butterfly mobile
*a series of water bottles, one of which has a beaver wetting the ground, another proclaims to hold holy water
*a candle scented of leather (and it really smells like that and it's really sexy)
*a brooklyn bandanna because I have to represent for my own neighborhood
*those vinyl cling things for your wall that act as CHALKBOARDS
    *a million gorgeous vintage earrings
    *CUPCAKE aprons

Mackenzi has a great eye for design (she is an interior designer) and she knows all of the great places to eat in Astoria.  Ask her for a lunch recommendation and she'll pull out a huge stack of menus, information on the owners and advice about what kind of toppings to get on your potato.

The constantly shifting array of knick-knacks is always on-trend and sensibly priced.  I wish that the store wasn't quite so heavy on the kids/baby stuff, but there is still plenty of goods for the grown-ups, like kitchen accessories, jewelry, and more.  I do a ton of my christmas shopping here every year, and my family invariably asks me where I get all this amazing, unique, fun things.  Site!

I really enjoyed browsing this funky design store.  I first heard about it through Lucky, but had to check it out for myself.  It's a great shop to find something designed by a local artist, or to find that perfect little candy dish for your apartment that you've been looking for.

I just bought this great Owl wall decal that I absolutely love.  Some of the stuff is a bit pricey, but you really need to walk around.

I'm on the fence here. I walked past this store on several occasions and made a mental note each time to pop in.  I've been in a ton of stores like this and while it's not my favorite of them all, the three times I have been in, I've found the store fun and charming. I haven't purchased something each time, but  I recently went in and bought several gifts for the holidays. I talked to the owner (I think) and learned a bit about the store and herself.  I give props to her for opening a store that is inviting, fun and promotes independent design in an area that lacks businesses like hers and in a city where every one is a budding designer and sells the same thing over and over.

I will definitely make it a point to visit the store whenever I need a gift. I don't know that I'll buy something every time, but I will definitely add it to my list of quirky, fun shops that inspire and have a purpose.

Unfortunately I live very close to this Wonderland of a store, so I have to avoid the block it's on all together so I won't go in every day... otherwise I would be homeless but with the most stylish grocery cart around. The store's inventory ebbs and flows but I am always in aw and in sudden need of at least one item that the store's owner has hand selected. Most items are created by up and coming artists and have a classy flair that is irresistable and will make you feel like a better person once it is on your wall. Trust me.

I lie in the middle of this space. I love the selection and the great ideas that you get whenever you walk into this store. I love the fact that the young lady at the counter remembers me even if I haven't been there in several months. That being said, They are a mixed bag of great deals on unique and awesome items and greatly overpriced endeavors that I can find on a good day of thrift shopping.

    Overall... I recommend it.

Super cute store! The owner is really friendly and you can tell she takes great pride in her selections. Really flexible about exchanges and proactive about figuring out what went wrong (she emailed the maker of the perfume bottle that kept getting clogged up for me). Left happy with a travel journal and new tote. :)

I stopped in here when Christmas shopping a few weeks ago and it was even better than I expected it to be.  It was so awesome that I finally made a Yelp account just to give credit where it's due.

I usually hate those little boutiques where the owner, or the chick at the register, sits there staring at you or -- worse -- asking you crap, making small talk.  I take indecision and make it into an art form, and I really just like to be left alone while I endlessly circle the store, looking at everything and thinking.  I felt totally cool doing that in this store, unlike in so many others.  On my first pass through I smelled all the Kobo candles; on my second I fiddled with the jewelry; and on my third I fell in love with some gorgeous pillows.

Now, I like to think I have a keen sense of style, but non-bed pillows seriously throw me for a loop.  They always look either boring, or like you put waaaaaay too much effort into picking them out.  I'm in my mid-20's; I've moved beyond just throwing extra bed pillows no the couch, but I'm not into the divide-and-chop ruffly look!  Plus throw pillows are inexplicably expensive most of the time.  But there, in Site, were several pillows that I had lost hope of ever finding.  Cute, whimsical -- but not childish -- designs, gorgeous colors, high-quality fabrics; and best of all, reasonably priced!  I bought four.  I've stayed away from the store since then but only out of fear that I'll blow all my money if I ever go back.  But honestly, every time I watch TV I hug one of these pillows and think about how awesome they are, so I'm pretty sure a return trip is due, just to look around some more.  And what do you know?  I've got a day off tomorrow...

This place is adorable. The owners did a super job with the interior, and edited their pieces really well. They have works from local artists too. All the pieces are small -- from cute stools and side tables to candles, decals,  pillows, wall art. Each time I come in, I always walk away with something and their prices are great too. I got a totally adorable side table for only $50 -- can't beat that. Hope they keep it up and don't go anywhere!

I must also agree with the other yelpers that this is a true Astoria gem. I stumbled on SITE's opening party way back in April and was super excited to see something like this just down the street from my apartment- an amazing little design store! The owner is fabulous and very conscious of keeping local artists in her store. I have walked out with a few fabulous pieces for my apartment, each for less than $50, a deal!!

I have to disagree with the review below. I find SITE to be inexpensive and full of clever items, ranging form people on etsy to mass made products with appeal. Its very important to me that everyone also realize a store tends to offer variety so as to make its rent and i cant fault SITE for the variety. The owner is very pleasant and very apart of her store. I appreciate etsy and i appreciate stores, what i DONT appreciate are people who seem to dog out anything that isnt all ETSY As for markets..they are fun but lucky for Astoria it doesnt have to be all or nothing..good market and a good gift store...and may i conclude this by saying maybe some of our reviewees should submit their own work rather than complaining..might just turn SITE into the store you always dreamed of.

When I walked into this store, my heart broke. I had been living in Astoria for several years and hadn't made it out to SITE for shopping. How had I missed this? Oh yeah, I had a kid and was working 90 million hours a week on top of that.
The thing that I despise most in stores is when the salesperson hounds you. I will walk straight out the door. I found the environment super friendly and relaxed. I asked questions of the owner who remained behind the counter, she answered me as if we had been friends 4eva. She even invited us to a party, where there are cupcakes. Cupcakes!
While not every thing in the store was something I would buy, most of it was  (isnt that the case in all great stores) and it has a great range of product catering to everyone. I usually find when people sell local artists wares to be crafty in a gross way, but the owner curates it well.
Now that I have moved out of NYC I plan on buying things online from SITE for years to come.
Hooray Astoria! I miss you so!

A totally awesome modern design store has opened in Astoria and I was lucky enough to stumble in to the opening party last night . ...I heard the music pumping as me and my heard approached the store, and could not believe what a scene it was ...right there on the 34th Avenue...Hipsters galore, fashionistas, lesbians, fabulosity all over the place... It was a litte difficult to scope out the whole place since it was completelly packed for the three hours we were there but what I could see was beautifull... Amaizing prints by local artists, fabulous scull plates that I could not resist at only 10-15 bucks each, gorgeous mirrors, glasses, chairs, hooks, cards... The owner's taste in design is superb and the store is just beautifull. I must go back when I'm not having wine so I can shop, shop, shop (did I mention that they were serving wine in the cutest modern packaging?)...Go check it out, buy a candle or a chair...You will love it!
