Sister's Bingo is a San Francisco "Must Do" novelty experience. It's a great event to come to with girlfriends. Each month, the Bingo night has a different "theme" and I recommend going "all out" and dressing up. The best way to describe it is Drag Queen Bingo and the Sister's favorite number is O 69.
The prizes are a mix of cash, kitsch, and gay porn. Although we won a bunch of prizes--we didn't come for the swag--we came for the experience, and it was a hoot. The majority of the bingo guests were gay or groups of straight girls out to have a night out. It's a fabulous way to start out a bachelorette party, but it's not the event to bring a prude, religious nut, or someone easily offended.
The "Sisters" (AKA: The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) go all out with their incredible make-up and outlandish outfits. They were more than happy to take photos with us. The Sisters do so much charity work for the community, it is a pleasure to support them.
The cost is: $30 for the "regular bingo" (not regular bingo), and $40 for the VIP. Being big spenders, we splurged for the VIP and for the extra ten bones you get a t-shirt and the best seats. When you're a "virgin" (first timer) you get a "v" painted in red on your forehead.
Perhaps the oddest thing is at the break, when you go to a different room, and enjoy cocktails served by veterans. Who would have thought--veterans serving drinks to drag queens? Love it!
One guest called out a false Bingo (how dare he!) The offender was brought on stage so that the other players could "daub" his butt for a buck. (It was clear that the "daubee"--a new word I invented meaning 'one that is daubed'--enjoyed this as much as the daubers.)

Sister's Bingo is a totally fun monthly event at the Green Room at the War Memorial - it is not your mama's bingo. I took a date for their Holiday event, and we laughed for 3-hours. No drinking in the same room as the bingo, but don't worry they take breaks, and you can drink next door. A little advice - no using cell phones or you get the paddle from a sista. It is a night of good clean fun...for a dirty mind.

I never stop laughing when i come here! One night I won twice and so did gal pal Sharon. I won $100 and gave some of it back to the charity for the night...I also won the door prize which consisted of some hair clips and a vibrator, oh and hello kitty note pad. I heart bingo, when will it return?
p.s. turn your cell phone off, lest the entire parish call out "beat him" and you are forced to the front for a paddling. -

Porn in Church? Sisters with a beard? Free stuff? Prizes for being a virgin? Cash? COUNT ME IN!
Last night I attended the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence's Revival Bingo. I have not had so much fun in a long time! The sisters put on a monthly bingo game, yes, just like your grandparents play, but with cash, porn, dramatics, rollerskates, costumes, and free stuff, all to support a worthwhile cause.
Held the first Thursday of the month, for $15 you get a game card good for 8 games of fanatical fun, and for an extra $5 you can get an extra game board. Each month has a theme, last night was Holler Roller Bingo, next month is XXXmas Bingo...
A very mixed and eclectic crowd, just there to have a kick ass time! -

Bring it back! Bring it back!
I miss Revival Bingo so damn much. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence put on the best damn bingo game in the world. Even if you don't win a cent, you will hear awesome dirty jokes and scream out for gay porn until your throat is hoarse.
This is one of the best ways to entertain yourself in the city, and, it benefits a different community cause every month.

Sisters' Bingo is sooo much funny!!! The Green Room is great and adds even more flair to just seeing the Sisters work their magic on a room full of people.
This is a must see/go event in San Francisco to experience the really SF!!! Plus this monthly event helps deserving non profits with valuable money to sustain important programs.
THIS is not your mother's Bingo, its the SISTERS' Bingo. -

Irreverent, silly, and totally worthwhile... how often can you have this much fun, while knowing that you are truly helping others?
New location, right across from City Hall... perfect for visitors and friends who have never been. As with any licensed Bingo event, kids are not allowed. Food and beverages are conveniently served nearby (and there is even a bar that helps raise money for local veterans!). -

anyplace that gives out anal beads as door prizes is aok by me! as my pall nikki says in her review - gay bingo makes us lucky! and it's back it's back it's back! and in a bigger space, apparently.

Bingo is back! Started back up over the summer, and they've raised $17,000 for various charities since. This is a quintessentially San Francisco experience: it's traditional bingo with a Sisters twist -- that means costumes, porn door prizes, verbal abuse, witty banter, singing, bare-chested men, dauber attacks, spanking, flawless makeup, and oh-so-much more. You *must* do this before you die.

it happens once a month, and while it is $15 a head, they (the sisters of perpetual indulgence, that is) have awesome prizes and their money goes to charity.
