I recently ordered a cake from Sistercakes for my daughters 9th birthday party. They created the most fabulous double layer cake for the her in the shape of a pair of flip flops. My daughter and all of her friends thought the cake was so cool! The cake was perfectly moist and the icing was light, fluffy and perfectly sweet. I will definitely be ordering from Sistercakes for all of our special occasions and many of my friends who saw the beautiful cake are anxious to use them as well.

I ordered these for my office today. They were super yummy. When they first arrived, fresh from the fridge, I was a bit worried. The frosting was crumbly, stiff, and grainy. But like all good cupcakes with buttercream frosting, once they got to room temperature, the frosting became light, fluffy, and delicious. The bottom of the cupcake is airy, moist, and just a wisp of a cake. You can eat the whole thing in 30 seconds and not even feel it. But they are yummy!
Sister Cakes is a delivery-only service. You must order through their website and one of the sisters will bring them to your house. If you just get one dozen, they are about 3 dollars a cupcake, but if you order more, the cost becomes considerably less than places like Cake Love and Lavendar Moon. I would definitely suggest them!

I ordered these for a baby shower. All of the flavors we got (red velvet, chocolate, white cake, carrot, and lemon) were solid. The carrot ones didn't hold up very well (like a couple of days later), but they were moist and tasty the day of the event. People wolfed down the chocolate and the red velvet and everyone seemed to love them. It was super easy to order them, they showed up early, and the customer service was superb. Plus, they colored the icing to match the colors we decorated with!
I thought the cake-to-icing ratio was a bit heavy on icing, which made them a bit difficult to eat without utensils. But the frosting was delicious, so I was definitely OK with that. I will absolutely order from them again. For the home delivery, awesome service, and yummy product, I thought they were a very good value. -

So I have been to Cakelove, and Hello Cupcake and that other one in Georgetown and wasn't as happy as I was with these ones. I got one from a co-worker and couldn't believe how pretty it was. Even better...it actually tasted good too. It was chocolate peanut-butter and I think it may have included some sprinkles of fairy orgasms in the mix. Wicked freakin' good. I think they deliver, too.

By and large the very best cupcakes I've ever had. I ordered these for my husband's graduate school graduation party. They were an enormous hit. The looked beautiful. The frosting was just the right sweetness and just the right quantity. The cakes themselves were perfect. Their delivery was prompt and they were great people to work with. I'm looking for an excuse to work with them again.
