7 reviews for Sir Pizza
I'd heard so much about this place I had to go sample the cheesy goodness for myself. And I was disappointed however, maybe it was reading all those other reviews.
The ranch dressing was tangy and added a nice little kick. I wouldn't cross the Rickenbacker for this pizza but I would stop by if I was nearby.
I did really like the atmosphere, very local, lots of families. The staff seemed to know everyone well and had a nice attitude.
Um, the only reason I would ever want to live in Key Biscayne is the following reason:
To have a Sir Pizza at my fingertips.
I was able to eat at Sir Pizza after a wedding on the Key last night and I almost cried as I dunked my pepperoni square into their legendary ranch dip.
Rumor has it they are opening one in the Gables.
Perhaps it's because I grew up with Sir Pizza from living on the island that I cannot side with the other reviewers here.
Sir Pizza USED to be amazing. I'm afraid that when I used to eat there the food was made with fresher ingredients and just plain tasted better. The pizza was crisper, the dough better, and even when ordering heavy toppings the pie did not look like you just poured a full cup of orange grease into every part of it. The pizza, to quote some guy on Bravo, is like the bland leading the bland. I do love that they cut it into little squares though ^_^
They also serve a variety of pastas which I loved, previously. Nowadays the pasta tastes like the upgraded restaurant equivelant of Chef Boyardee.
The cookies are still good.
If I were you I would spend my money elsewhere on the island, unless you get a kick out of eating sopping slices of pizza with forgettable cheese. The past few times I ate there I got sick from it as well, so I threw in the towel.
The soda is B-A-D.
So basically, they get two stars for being a nice family run restaurant where young kids, teenagers and families can group together and talk loudly, laugh deeply, and play music on the awesome jukebox. As for the food? Good if you've had a few of their beers, lol.
This is an incredible pizza joint. I find myself driving all the way out to Key Biscayne just to get a pie. Their pizza is extremely delectable, and I love how they cut the pizza into small little squares -- its so much easier to eat with a group. If you're feeling a little adventurous, order some ranch dipping dressing on the side :)
This place is THE ONLY REASON as to why I'd ever venture into Key Biscayne. Amazing pizza.
Love Sir Pizza! I've been going there for years. My favorite(besides the pizza) are the side salads. Wish I had one closer to me!
This is your typical average pizza-chain pizza. 'Nuf said.
