Still my favorite lobster roll on the cape, although I don't have a ton to compare it too. It's got a decent price ($12.99 I believe at my last stop), and it's quite chunky in the best way. My mom thinks it is a bit too shredded but I think it has a great balance.
I also love the clam chowder there. Just top notch.
This has been an almost yearly stop up to where we stay in North Eastham and instantly gets me in the mood for a bit of Cape vacation time. -

Have eaten here forever. Amazing, succulent (yes, that word) fried shrimp and maybe the best fried scallops you'll ever eat. Ever.
Fresher than fresh. This is takeout by the way. -

This place is good. Like really really good. I am not even that big of a fish fan, but I could see myself eating their fish and chips for like a week straight. Slaw is legit too. I imagine this place is a zoo in the summer, but mid-march at lunch we got a table instantly.
Let off a star because I kinda would like a fountain soda to go with everything. They only have a self-serve 20oz. soda machine. Seriously don't miss out on this place, it's worth it. -

Went based on yelp reviews. I am not too keen on deep fried anything or seafood, so am not the best person to judge. The place is really small and we felt that we were crowding in on people, even though it was not packed.
The food was not bad or that great. It was ok. The portion size is huge and based on the amount of takeout traffic, it is a a popular place for the families in/around the area.
If you are on the road and heading to provincetown, then I recommend stopping here for the deep fried seafood as it is representative of any of the other places around the area. -

Fantastic clam strips. Fantastic. And the sweet potato fries are among the best I've had.
Very friendly staff, fresh fish, great decor, pretty much everything you could ask for in a beachy fish and chips type place.
Clam strips = AWESOME. -

No frills and simple fried food. Yeah. Love the painted menu board and basics like fried fish, clams, oysters, scallops, and onion rings. They don't serve beer but you can go next door to the fish market and buy a 40 or a pack of beer. Bring that beer back to the small dining room and chow down your fried feast. Prices are reasonable. Don't expect anything from the atmosphere as this is mostly a take out place. 3 of us shared two medium orders of clams and oysters, plus an "small" order of onion rings (they weren't very small!), cup of chowder and a small side of coleslaw for $13 each.
Oh and... losbster roll is quite reasonable compared to other places at $10.95. There's also chicken tenders, hamburgers and hot dogs for non-seafood eaters at $3.95 each. -

I ate lunch here for the first time two days ago, and it was so good that the next day (yesterday) I decided to bring my friend back who was visiting the Cape. The whole fried clams, lobster roll, and fried flounder sandwich were every bit as good as the first time I went. However, the cole slaw that came with the fish sandwich on the second day was beyond spoiled. It stank! When I brought this to the attention of the cashier, she was defensive. She said: "I don't know how that could be. We make our slaw fresh every morning." Well, I don't know what happened but the slaw was rank and she didn't seem to take much responsibility for it. Otherwise, it was a good meal.

Best chowder that we had on the Cape all week. We called as we left Stop & Shop after a big shop on the first night we arrived on the Cape. Great for takeout. Fried clams were excellent. I liked the Lobster Roll, although I prefer large pieces of lobster and this is more if a minced lobster salad. More of a tuna fish sandwich consistency. Fortunately, it's lobster, so it tastes great no matter what.

This place is old school, that is to say the food is fresh, the oil they fry in is clean, they spend no time or energy on ambience and it's local teenagers cooking it up. Started coming here in the 80's for the huge fried fish sandwiches and have worked through the menu with wife and 3 children. Do not miss the fish chowder when they have it, the clam chowder is 2 nd best. Fried clams are tough to get right, they do. Take it across the street and eat on the grass next to to the windmill and look out at Nauset inlet. Nice...

let me start out by saying I am not a huge fan of fish fry. however when your on the cape its just something that is going to happen if your there more than a day. They have the best fried fish i have found on the cape as well as lots different things to pick from from chowders and lobster/crab rolls. Also they have the best calamari i have found on the cape and sweet potato fries that are really good and never to soggy.
now the bad, Its a small store in a small strip mall so parking and seating is always tight (the outside picnic table in the summer is your best bet if there is space) also they don't serve drinks (other than ice water) but have vending machines for soda.
Over all sir crickets should be at the top of your list if your on the cape and need the cape style seafood. Don't go to the over priced summer tourist traps (cough cough cobbies) -

Small place with little ambiance but MAN what great chowder and clams. It's cheap too and right off the road to P-town so check it out.

First time for my husband and myself although we've been coming to the Cape for years. The fried clam strips were delicious, fresh & lightly battered. The serving was very generous and with the fries made for a filling dinner. I didn't care for the slaw though. The price is way better than a little place down 6A. Go early if you want to sit inside as there is limited & close seating. We will definetly go here again.

Came here twice with my husband while we were exploring Cape Cod National Seashore in early October. Ordered the large size fish and chips both times, and also sampled the fried shrimp and clam chowder. The fried fish was FANTASTIC! The fries were solid; nothing amazing. The fried shrimp were very good, as was the chowder. The woman at the counter recognized us the second time we came in, and she and the fry cook were friendly in a nice, relaxed way. A place worthy of many returns!

This place is a MUST for their fried clams and creamy fish chowder. Everything is really fresh, which is probably because they own the fish market next door. My family and I always make at least one stop here while visiting the cape. They are affordable, fast, and fresh. The best we have tried for take-out style seafood around Orleans. d

Sir Crickets is your typical fried seafood shack at heart except that it's a tiny hole-in-the-wall spot in a strip mall type setting that seems to cater more to the take-out crowd. I heard so much about this place before going and had high hopes but sadly they fell short of my expectations. In terms of the fish and chips you can get the fish and chips, or just the fish, and a large or small size. As no one in New England can make good french fries I ordered the large portion of fish only and a side of onion rings. The portion of fish was good but the batter wasn't and it also wasn't sticking to the fish. In addition, the fish wasn't drained correctly so it was quite watery and all the water on the plate made the bottom of the fish soggy. The onion rings were ok but again the crunchy batter on them was unusual in not the best way. It's also interesting to note that the place is cash only and there's no ATM anywhere around and if you want a drink then your only option is the soda vending machine by the counter. If you're truly after a good fish and chips (or any other fried seafood) then you're better off driving to Kream and Kone instead.Listed in: Cape Cod

Went last nite. Place looks like you'd expect from a cape fried seafood place. connected to a great fish market (Nauset). Went planning on getting fried scallops and saw the sign for broiled. Let my health needs get to me and ordered a broiled scallop plate. Should have stuck with fried. Scallops were cut in half to broil quicker and were overdone. While I was there a guy came in and ordered a fried scallop basket. that looked much better (half of what I paid for a full plate and no difference in size.) The menu and prices seem good and will try again. Just was disappointed in the broiled scallops (dry and small).

I've been coming to Orleans to visit family every year since I was 4 and Sir Cricket's is a MUST. I refuse to leave until I have had a crab roll and some chowder.
Update: I went here over the weekend and I am happy to report it is still as fantastic as ever. AND they had a special crabster roll (lobster and crab for all you land locked friends). I was in heaven. -

Excellent fried clams and fish and chips. Sir Cricket's may benefit from being in the same building as one of the best fish markets on the lower Cape. It's cute but pretty cramped inside so you can't count on having a sit down meal here during the summer. Order the whole clams if you if you want the real thing. Clam strips are just shredded sea clams, a totally different thing.

Best lobster rolls on the cape. I made a couple of visits here my last time to the cape, and the food was just as good as i remembered. The service is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Not much room for seating, but you can take the food outside to the benches to eat. I recommend the chowder and the lobster rolls.

Worth a visit if you enjoy lobster rolls, which I rate the best in Cape Cod. Not much room for seating so you will want to take your meal to go. Also make excellent picnic food to enjoy at an Orlean's baseball game. Additionally the fish and chips are tastey. But it is hard to dislike fish and chips anywhere in the Cape.

BEST clams ever. Ever. Fresh and cooked to a perfect golden brown (just enough batter). Delightful onion rings, melts-in-your-mouth crab roll.
Very small dining area, just a few small tables. Loads of people coming in to pick up orders while we were there, definitely a busy spot at times. I'll be back!

This place is great after a long day at Nauset Beach. I think they make the best clam chowder on the Cape and their fish and chips is hands down the best I have ever had. Plain and simple.
