Pizza perfection!  I used to live in Jackson Heights and frequented the one there when I was younger and they would always hook me up with free soda.  Now I live near the Elmhurst location.  My dad even has their number in his cell phone for spur of the moment pick ups.

Love the personal pan size, it's enough for me to share with someone else.  I've had it with a mushroom topping, but I'm not a huge fan of the mushrooms that they use.  I will just be boring and say that it's excellent with cheese alone.  It has a crispy base and a tasty crust.  I've never had a pie that was over or undercooked.  The price is right on and you get your money's worth fo sho!

Simply put: don't go. It is not worth the trip neither spending the money on it. No flavor, the cheeses taste like air even the crust tastes like air.
I have had so many, so much better! The place is depressing and the service is bad.
Instead, try Due Franky's Pizzeria on 37 Ave and 76 St., Jackson Heights; same price, excellent service (very friendly and attentive) WAY MUCH BETTER; Franky's menu is gigantic (recomend: the grandma), their pasta is also very good, you can have your personal pizza for $5 or $7 and is bigger than Singa's and full of flavor.

I'll make it short.

It's GOOD.

I recommend onions&peppers.

Their buffalo wings were okay.
But the sandwich was meh.....

Oh and if you eat their pizza as soon as it comes out, you might end up burning and scraping the ceiling of your mouth like I did so becareful.

OMG what is there to say really? My personal favorites are the Hawaiian & Chicken BBQ pizzas. These pizzas are small and can feed 1-2 people depending on hunger/capacity. About $6 and change per pie, and oh-so-delicious. Is it the sauce? Whatever it is I would bring visitors from out of town here and they would love it. Everyone I knew from the area loved it. And yes, it was another frequent habit of mine that I never wanted to curb.

Been eating here for 20+ years. Ever since I was a itty bitty kid. Never had a bad pie. Sauce is tangy with a hint of sweet. Dough is crispy and chewy. Every pie is made to order with fresh toppings. Very yummy.

My favs are onions & hot peppers, sausage & hot peppers, olives & onions, plain, pepperoni & hot peppers... you get the idea.

Coming out of the Howard Beach area, I've only known Gino's and New Park Pizza, and the latter being my favorite, however, outside of that area while in Elmhurst, Singas is hands down absolutely an orgasm in your taste buds, there I said it.

I don't know what magic they use to create these majestic pieces of art, but I strongly recommend anyone who is in the area and has never been there to do yourself a favor, drop everything you're doing right now and order a personal pie.

Give yourself some time though, because this place is always packed and always a long line, and if you're with a big group good luck finding a spot to sit down and eat. Prices aren't too bad for the area, especially when you take that first bite, you won't even remember how much it cost or where you're from.

It would've been 5 stars, if they delivered to me, I guess I'm being spiteful.

Singas pizza is pretty good.  They have a buy two pizzas get one free which is pretty sweet.

The pizza is good for a pizza only restaurant.  The food came out quick and it tasted awesome.  Love the Buffalo Chicken pizza.

Definitely a nice change in taste from normal pizzerias in NYC.

I will recommend Singas to friends!

This is my favorite pizza in all of nyc!
I have been eating since I was a kid. It's a Queens thing!
It's like when you watch Entourage and they talk about the pizza from da'hood...they meant singas. Singas is like the Pat and Geno's of Nyc....b/c u can't get this anywhere else. It's a part of Queens and always will be....So what makes singas so different?
Well, it's the original famous personal pizza. You can share but why would you when it's this good. Try the classic onion and peppers, there's nothing else like it guaranteed

This is my favorite pizza ever.  Really.  And I've tasted a lot of pizza from a lot of cities.  Singa's pizza is always fresh and hot, and their toppings are all deliciously recognizable as real food (e.g., no crappy canned mushrooms here).  The crust isn't too thick, but it's not too thin, and it's always toasted just right.  I almost always build my own pizza, and usually use either their garlic tomato sauce or spicy tomato sauce.  Absolute heaven.  If my boyfriend would agree to eat there five times a week, I'd be very happy.

I honestly have no idea how anyone could not be in love with this pizza, but that's ok -- that means I won't have to wait to be seated when I go there.  And by the way, the service is really good, there's free parking, they serve mammoth-sized drinks, and it's really affordable.

Singas pizza is a little slice of heaven.

Brings me back to my after school days when I'd get a tasty snack with my friends before heading home for homework.

$5 gets you a pie (they're like 8" in diameter) that's both tasty (tomato sauce is almost I want to say spicy), cheesy (perfected melted dollops of cheese) and crunchy (ALWAYS a crunchy crust, none of that flopping all over the place crust here).

Try it, you won't regret it.  Decor looks like it came right out of the 70's aside from that, you won't regret it.

I'm Derek Zoolander and even though I'm really really really ridiculously good-looking and my body fat percent is like 3% tops, I always like good 'za. That's what us New Yorkers call pizza, my roommate Meekus called it "pie" last week and I just bitch-slapped him (pardon my latin) and said "get with it, Meekus, us NYC homeboys call it 'za, duh!"

Anyways, when the Singas help gave me my pizza, I looked at it and just THREW it to the ground and said:

"What is this! Pizza for ANTS?! How do you expect eaterers to eat pizza if they can't even find the slice!"

The immigrant help guy didn't look too happy I assume because he wasn't really really ridiculously good-looking and I finally exposed him for who he was...a pizza eugoogle-ist.

I will give Singas five stars because they served an actual living live male model who's better at turning left than Hansel.

amazing! yelping in NY and what pops up but Singas Pizza. as soon as i saw the name my brain and senses literally went back in time and as i type this i can remember that distinct Singas "aroma" when you walk in. it was unlike any pizza joint in ny, the five boroughs, queens, that smell was singas. and how can you forget that amazing non-ny pizza where you would wait and wait until your number was called while they sliced your pizza with that infamous singas machete and placed it in that special plate. when you took your first slice you knew to be careful cause that cheese was super hot. you also go to love it when you order it to go so you can see the singas way of packaging the pies, two plates + the singas bag with another infamous -- the singas double fold. jesus!

c'mon all this is from memory. i haven't eaten a singas pie in over 8 years and now i'm wondering why. i've been back home 4 times in 8 years and i've never been back to singas. i think its because there's so many places that's been food staples since i was a kid that a lot are forgotten. when i go back there's not enough meals in a day or a week to get it all in. i know when i comeback home next it will be a pepperoni pie, onion and pepper pie and cheese pie for sure just for me.

thank you NY yelp for bringing back a lot of great memories!

holy shit! i clicked on the link to http://singaspizza.com and there's 17 singas, they even have one in forest hills. wtf! i remember they opened one in flushing two decades ago and the pizza wasn't exactly like the original in Elmhurst and Broadway. if you go, you gotta go to the birthplace next to the malaysian restaurant if its still there.

35 years ago, my dad regularly took my mom here on their way to her dr's appointment.  My dad would get peppers and onions and my mom anchovies (hey, she was pregnant!)  Everyone in my family ate here and it was a part of their lives.

Singas was the first pizza I ever ate and I remember going their regularly. We left NY in 1979 and all through my life, my parents spoke longingly of this pizza.

Last month, my father and grandfather came to NY and we decided to visit the old neighborhood.  Out of the blue, my father starts talking about the pizza.  He couldn't remember exactly where it was but he sort of remembered how to get there so we drove around looking for it.  I was the one who actually found it, retrieving childhood memories of the train tracks.

My dad freaks out.  We're shocked that the place is still there!  He remembers it was called Famous Pizza, not Singas, who back then was the original owner. The original sign was still up, but covered up by the new name.  Of course they remodeled the inside.  They used to have a conveyor belt where you'd see the pizzas come out of the oven.  My dad really wanted to talk to the owners but of course, they don't work there anymore, but we did get to learn that this location is still family-owned and that they franchised in the 1980s.

We ordered two onions and peppers and dug in.  It was like eating pure nostalgia. While the pizza was really good, I can't say it was the best I ever had.  What's the best is being able to return and enjoy a wonderful time in our lives. How often do you get to do that?

Singas Pizza. Since 1967.
Since I could chew and swallow for me.
My oh my Singas pizza.
This is the heart of Elmhurst children and adults.
There are a few other locations but go to the first spot here!
Formed in a small individual (maybe 10 inch) pie it brings out the best in your taste buds. My favorite is the plain cheese, crisp and addicting. Go for half mushrooms/half green peppers to half hamburger/half hot peppers.
The special with everything on top is also good for the hungry and flavor conscious.
Prices are $5-6 !
Takes 15-20 minutes though.. so you should be prepared to kill some time waiting.
CALL ahead! It helps. They deliver too.
It is located in a run down strip with other great authentic restaurants.  Loads of parking spots in front. On busy Broadway, so go during later afternoons or night.
Forget Elmhurst famous pizza across the street. Stick with Singas. The crust is better.

This was the first Singas Famous Pizza location I went to when I lived in Elmhurst. If I am correct, this is also the original Singas.

Singas was part of my childhood when it came to pizza.

My family and myself love the pizza from Singas. Each pie comes in one size only, 9" to 10".

Fortunately, there is still one within a mile from my parents' home and one that is 5-6 miles away from my office in Parsippany, NJ. When I crave for pizza and am near a Singas, I will pick Singas over Pizza Hut.

The best part is the pies are made as you ordered them. You can phone them in and be there to pick up in about 10-15 minutes. Usually, the guy taking the order says 10 minutes and they give you a number. I don't think they ever give a number beyond 99 or 100.

The tomato sauce is a little sweet, the crust is perfect (not very thin) and crunchy. They offer your typical toppings. My favorite toppings are: sausage, extra cheese or pepperoni. It is still my favorite place to go for pizza.

Overall, I will have to give Singas a 5 stars rating (the first 5 star rating that I have issued).

It's sad that there is not one near me in Philadelphia, PA. This means when I'm in NYC and near a Singas Famous Pizza location, you will find me in one.

If you find yourself in Elmhurst, NY and craving pizza, stop by Singas.

I think the saying is along the line of "Once you try our pizza, you'll be back for more". Surely enough, it holds true.

The thing that sets Singa's pizza apart from others I think is the sauce they use which is sweet in taste and not the usual tangy salty ones which I still like very much but Singa's is good for something different.  (was that a run-on sent?) Their pizzas are individually 8 inch in size which I can happily but embarassingly chow down 2 of.  The crust is thin which is fantastic.

I usually get the onion and peppers pizza with added chicken.  Sooo good...I wish I had one near me.

Price a lil over 7 bucks.

Tip:  Call in or order ahead of time and run some errands at the local Asian markets while they make your pizza in 15 mins.

We have written poems about this place. Included it in stories of our childhood. Trekked from Jersey to Flushing for a pie (jalapeno and onion for me, please) before it opened in Jersey. It is childhood greasy goodness. And, there's something in it that sucks you in. The significant other has won over my old friends by delivering this to them.

I don't want to tell you about it, except it has expanded with locations in New Jersey and even on 2nd Avenue. Don't expect slice pizza. But um, can you say no to your own personal pie!? You won't want to share it anyway!

I really liked this mom and pop pizza joint near my middle school in Toronto.  It was called The Real McCoy, and they made the best pepperoni slices I've ever had. Just $1.50 (Canadian currency) for a huge slice and a can of soda.  Since then, I haven't been all that ecstatic about pizza.  It's practical for groups and for late night school sessions, but it has held no joy for me.

Fast forward to one normal day a week or so ago.  Despite all the different restaurants nearby, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai just didn't cut it for me anymore.  What haven't I tried already, I screamed at the petulantly unresponsive sky.  I suddenly remembered there was a pizza place next to all the shops I frequented, but then I saw a sign on the storefront saying call in advance for faster service.  I was starving, so what did I do?  I ordered another "sesame beef with rice vermicelli" from the sub-par Pho Bang.

The next day, I really couldn't take it any longer, distaste for pizza notwithstanding, so I called up Singas Famous Pizza and asked for a chicken and tomato pizza.

"Two pizzas?"

"No, just one, with both chicken and tomato on it."

"One pizza?"

"Yes, please."

No more than 10 minutes later, I received my pizza and the rest is history.  I bit into my fresh, personal-sized pizza and my taste buds sang a happy song.  I inspected the pizza like a 40-point vehicle inspection and could not place the reason for its great taste, but no matter, because I ate nothing but Singas the rest of the week.

I think I've finally tired of having nothing but pizza, which is why I now have time to write this review, but I can honestly say I feel satisfied.  The pizza at Singas isn't like my childhood favorite, isn't offered by the slice, and costs more ($4.75-7.95 US per 10" personal pizza, their only size offering), but it has awakened a part of me long since gone.  They make your pizza super-fast too.

My first Singas experience was at the Elmhurst location, and I've since stopped in whenever I've come across one elsewhere. Crispy crust, sweet sauce and any topping you can think of. I love the peppers and onions, but sometimes I need some sausage thrown on there too. Oooh, yummy, I just ate but I'm craving their pizza right now. Cheese is plentiful but the pizza isn't dripping with grease. The pies are individual, I think around 6 bucks, but it's always more than enough for me (2 meals if i'm not absolutely starving).
Not sure if I'll ever find the best pizza in new york but this is my go-to place when i want a sweet, cheesy bite.

Granted this was many moons ago, my brother and i just looked at her like: what the hell is she talking about? well thanks to that babysitter, named Patricia ( shout out wherever you are) we have become addicted to this pizza. This joint is so good that it's always packed, so if you live in the area call ahead so they can have your pie ready.  Geez i'm craving one right now; It's pure bliss... i need a pie right now!!!

Take it from someone who's never really gotten into the whole pizza-lovin' thing: Singa's is the one place that makes me into a Pizza Pig.

Think of everything you could ever want in the perfect pizza: the crunchy, crispy crust, but not so thin that you couldn't taste any substance, some traditional toppings, and a few imaginative ones for the daring pizza eater in you. Singa's has it all. When you first place your order, they'll give you a number, and you can stand and watch as the boys behind the counter make your pizza fresh to order. The pies here are a little smaller than the regular whopping pies you'll find in most pizza parlors, so the 9" pies would probably feed one person with a big appetite, but the price is adjusted for its size.

When the pie comes out of the oven and onto your plate (I've always eaten in because I could never wait to get it home before devouring it all), the hot mozzarella cheese strings off of each slice and there's no doubt that the toppings are beautifully fresh. The undeniable crunch of the underlying crust just tops off the perfect bite.

Nearly every time I've come here, it's always buzzing with customers, but if by chance, you walk in there and it's eerily quiet, believe me, it's not because the pizza's not any good. You've just come at an extremely lucky time. My personal recommendation is the pie with chicken and tomato. If that sounds strange to you, don't worry - it sounded strange to me too, but since my very first bite, I've never ordered anything but. From the people who've come with me and ordered other toppings, they have no complaints either.

If you're a pizza fan and haven't stopped by Singa's yet, believe me, you MUST. You'll be happy you did.

My daughter & I use to come to this place a lot.  Can't get enough of it.  Lines have always been long and sometimes we have to wait for a seat.  I guess our timing was always wrong.  The pizzas are small,  enough for one person.  We like to do a combo so we can have the mushroom and  the hot pepper or just plain cheese...., but since we are both cutting down on our carbs we have not been here for ages.  Good place to eat though, especially when you are really hungry.  It is really delicious.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because they always deliver. I went there once to pick up the food and it seems clean inside. These are the best 10inch pizza's you will find and for a great price at that. There are a lot of these places all over the city but this is the one I eat from the most because it's so close to my area. They deliver within 20 to 40 mins. The pizza taste great I recommend the Fresh Broccoli pie because it's only $6.95 and it taste great and boy is that broccoli fresh. Have you ever had a Stromboli(did i spell that right)? Well in my opinion their special pie taste just like one and for just $8.95. Their beef patties are good too. I have yet to try their wings but when I do i will be sure to update. Even if your not in the mood for pizza they do have spaghetti dishes and sandwiches which I know I will try one day. If you do want to eat at this place I recommend going at nighttime after 8 or 9pm because that parking lot is always crowded. Plus the lot caters to an Asian supermarket and some other Asian restaurants.

This pizza place has been around for a long time.  The have a great atompshere, friendly staff, and great pizza.  They only sell one size, so people will ususally buy several pies.  The pizza has light sauce, kind of sweet, right amount of cheese, and the crust is cripsy.  The slices are tiny, so if you are hungry order more than one pie.  They have several locations in the NY area.

Maybe it's because I didn't grow up eating here or something, but .. I wasn't crazy about it.  They serve fairly standard, personal-size pan pizzas.  I got sausage, and ate the whole thing and all..... but.......  it wasn't anything special.  Kind of like a higher-quality Pizza Hut or something.  Kind of crispy, buttery crust.. standard sauce.. standard cheese..

1st time I've been here and to tell you the truth. Their pizzas are soooooooo good.... I can eat 2 whole pieces. they're 2nd best from Danni's at Lefferts in Queens...

It's pretty cheap and they have lots and lots of selections to choose from... WAY BETTER THAN DOMINO'S or PIZZA HUT...

Try it sometime... (wanna call a friend ?)

wow. i'm pleased and surprised to see this was also such a childhood family favorite for so many. it's true. i love their pizza. it is a special sort of puppy love. it is a totally different type of little pie with a crunchy sort of crust that has a sticky cheesy doughy top... i dunno. the "everything" is fantastic and i love how thin they slice their onions that they get perfectly wilted over the top. i remember being 12 and pleased with myself when i found i could eat an entire pie. and it's true... an elmhurst family joint. i came here with my parents as a kid.
