I think it's appropriate to copy and paste my review from the other listing for this business, especially considering it is for the SAME EXACT PLACE. Also, the frequent private messages from Miss Gianna (which contain such hilarious "insults" as ASSYME which, I'm assuming, is a 2nd grade-ish play on my name) are getting a bit silly. Taken from their website, "Nancy and her BizSistaz partner Gianna Ianos run the daily operations." Yeah, crazy lady helps run the place. Awesome.
Dear Chocolate Spoon,
I now know why you had people write fake reviews for your establishment - your food ranks up there with those little frosted cookies you buy in tubs at Walmart and the breakfast burritos at McDonalds. Congrats on attempting to cover up the fact that your scones are little blueberry encrusted rocks.
And no, I do not want to pay you for water. This is America. Shit's free, son.
Specialties
SineFellas Cafe is located on the corner of 5th Street and Banning Avenue in downtown White Bear Lake. It is part of the collaborative of businesses housed in So What's New @ the Chocolate Spoon. SineFellas offers specialty crepes, soup, sandwiches, desserts and more. In addition to great food, it is cooked and served by the Schtick Chicks, a comedy duo and the owners and they perform their routine while they cook in front of you. Lip service, while dining at the counter is no extra charge. Enjoy great food, ambiance and fun every Thursday through Saturday, 10:00a - 5:00p.
History
Established in 2004
The Chocolate Spoon Cafe & Espresso Bar originated in August of 2002. For local White Bear Lake residents, most remember this spot on 5th and Banning as the "old" Carbone's Pizza shop. The current owners, Jeff and Nancy Poferl took over operations in February 2004.
Celebrating six years plus here, Jeff and Nancy Poferl, 24+ year local White Bear residents kept their promise to keep the community spirit alive and well. With the help of the community, friends and family alike, they offered weekend music venues, walls of fame for community artists, comfortable European ambiance, quality food and drink and their friendship. In 2008 they changed the store concept, remodeled and renamed the store "So What's New" at the Chocolate Spoon, now a collaborative of women in business retail, café and coffee shop. Our latest addition is SineFellas Cafe.
Meet the Business Owner: Nancy P.
Nancy is a Corporate America planned drop out. After 35 years working for someone else she decided to do it herself. She has a BA in Business Management from Bethel College, a PHD from SOHK in Marketing and has been known to do it all, from roof to floor, accounting to contracts, and everything in-between. She is a radio and soon to be TV personality under the persona The Biz SistazTM with a local cable TV channel. Watch for syndication in her future.
