My sister said this place was gross, but I must have been starving, because I thought it was pretty good.  I mean, it's certainly not upscale food, but it is pretty good for a quick bite to eat.

I ordered a chicken dish and asked for it to be pepped up with heat and they did pretty good by me.  My friend had some sort of tofu and vegie dish that she finished too.

Since we both belonged to clean plate club, the food was pretty good.  The only down side was we ended up getting seated in the back booth by the kitchen and the bathroom.  We were able to witness some of the staff getting in an argument with the delivery person and one of the staff getting chewed out for not completing a task quickly enough.

I've eaten here about 5 times for lunch, once for delivery, and once for dinner.
Without exception, the food is flavorful, reasonably priced, and with decent service.
Chicken Satay at $5.95.  Spareribs at $6.95.  Hot and sour or Sweet and Sour soup (family sized bowl) at $7.95.  A variety of noodle, rice, and meat/seafood main dishes for $7.95-$8.95.
Only downside is limited drink menu--sodas, thai iced tea, and wine.
Nice locally run venue amidst the corporate chains of Southcenter.

I have a big ego.

I'm the typical Alpha Male who likes to order things HOT and then wants a LOT of food to work on.

I'm up here on business and have been seeing the reviews for Simply Thai here on Yelp.  I thought, give it a try.

I spent $8.45 ($9.08 after tax) to get some Pad Thai to go.

"How spicy do you want?"

"From a scale of 1 to 5, I'll have it a... 2"  (modesty kicking in)

I'm glad I did.
They handed me a carton in a plastic bag so heavy it felt like a dumbbell.  A 10 minute drive, and a 10 minute phone call later, I opened the box and it was still steaming hot.

And let me tell you something, this is some DAMN FINE Thai food.  I got their Pad Thai, because 1. it's the default thai food and 2. they were walking by with an order of it for a guest and it look great.

So starting from the beginning - the place has an incredible interior.  Usually these Thai places are just sloppy and poorly put together.  OR, they try too hard to use the decor from Thailand and it ends up looking like some sort of collection of crap from an import store.  This one had nice neutral paint, and lots of great paintings from a local artist depicting the local scenery.

Unfortunately I'm on travel, and won't be able to come back, but I encourage all of you to give it a try!

My gawd you cannot go wrong!!  I was ASTONISHED to see that there are more four star than five star ratings.  Hitting this place for lunch by accident a few months back was one of my best mistakes.  Every time I go, I try something new and never have not wanted to order something again.  Their Simply Thai Fried Rice with Pork is awesome and I just recently tried their curry....it is so friggin good!  It's so good in fact, and continually packing in the clientele that they had to have a new one built one block away!!  If you don't believe me in that it is Le bomb...check it out yourself...I DARE YOU!!

After my friend and I had resigned ourselves to a mediocre repast at the Cheesecake Factory before heading to the airport, we discovered that there would be a 50 minute wait there (hard to believe since there are approximately 190 tables there).  Good thing, because that allowed us to glance across the street and spy Simply Thai.  A gem among the boxy chain places at Southcenter, this restaurant has Thai as good as most you'll find in Seattle.  It also has friendly service.  Give the busboy updates on the latest football scores from your iphone or crackberry and you may find yourself with an extra soup bowl full of peanut sauce.  Oh, and lots of ice water, too.  Bonus star for the music, circa 1986.

What a pleasant surprise. You will get great quality and large portions here. The short ribs were tender and juicy. The larb chicken salad was nice and tangy. The wide noodle dish, phad se ew was really mouthwatering.  Bring your family or friends when you dine at this place or just get take out. You will have plenty of leftovers and you won't spend that much here because since this place is next to the mall, you'll need to pinch some pennies.

We don't normally eat suburban mall food, but after a busy day running errands, we decided to try this after a high fashion shopping outing at Target.

We were really surprised at how good the food is here.  We ordered the Green Curry and Chicken Pad Thai and both were excellent  - super spicy, as ordered, and just the right mix of eggplant, meat, mystery veggies, and basil.

The service was friendly, and best of all the place was very clean.  We will eat here again, if we ever go back to Tukwila.

Easily the best Thai place around. Favorite dishes include the excellent som tum thai (green papaya salad with grilled prawns), tangy and sinus-opening tom yum soup, delicious phad thai, savory Sweet & Sour, and Holy Basil, which will delight your tastebuds with its fresh, herbal punch. Since everything on the menu is delicious I would not be surprised if the actual menu itself tasted delicious, but I am out of Peptol Bismol so I am not going to try. Great dcor and efficient service make this place a fabulous dining experience. It can become quite cramped during busy hours, but if it does you can just head towards their other location past Target, located near E. E. Robins.

the food was great but the service was horrible. i went there with my friend and we totally got ripped off! she asked us how spicy we want our food but our food didn't turn out that sppicy so i asked for chili paste sauce. the lady gave me a glare though. the only thing great was the food even though we got jacked a couple of bucks.

i think there are better thai places like thai ginger. where they dont rip costumers off plus good thai food too

With nearby Southcenter Mall across the street, one would think this place would be crowded with folks looking for a good meal but its just not so.  While the mall crawlers are munching on fast food and Starbucks muffins, we were presented with large servings of steaming Thai curries, noodles and stir-fried veggie dishes.  Take several friends so you can enjoy a variety of entrees and make sure you have an appetite 'cause you'll need it!

Simply Thai give out very generous portions at low prices.  You will be amazed at how much food you have left after you eat enough to get full!  The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, decor is nice, and restaurant is clean.  I highly recommend the curry and the cashew chicken.  Please note, if you are meeting friends, make sure you agree on which location!  There are 2 Simply Thai restaurants a few blocks apart, one is right next door to a jewelry store and across the street from Target, and the other is inside a strip mall a few blocks down.  Once, I met a group of friends and was waiting for them at one location while they waited on me at the other!  So make sure to get it sorted out ahead of time! :)

What a fabulous restaraunt! The interior is gorgeous and has a very homey feel to it. Have been there several times with friends and we always get a table. A great mixture of people and the food arrives in a timely manner. I wouldn't be surprised if soon, people have a hard time getting a table.
