So, this place is not alright.  I heard from some locals that the place is trying to fix itself, as it used to be a lot worse.

I had reserved a room with a balcony and view of the Puget Sound.  The first room we went to overlooked Silverdale, the city side.  I called down to the front desk and asked if we could get what I had reserved over the phone, because I remembered her saying that they were nowhere near full occupancy.  She said that she would see what she could do for us, like she was doing us a favor.

The result was a room overlooking some puddles of the sound under our balcony that felt like it was about to fall off the building at any moment.

In comparison to like Motel 6, I have to give this place two stars, but for what it advertises, I should give this place one star.

Oh, and you have to ask for a blanket, because they are "going green."  Are you kidding me?  Ha ha ha!

Let's see...  Oh yeah, and the lady in front of me, who was checking out early was complaining about having three people walk into her and her husbands room over their first night's stay.  The front desk asked her if it was workers or civilians, as if that makes a difference.  Anyway, she said civilians, and the front desk worker asked her at what time did all of the walk-ins occur, and she told her.  The front desk worker made her wait, and all of us standing behind her for 30 minutes so that she could log the problem in her book, and make a call to the employee who was working during the walk-ins.  Then, she verified that the employee did indeed offer her a ten dollar gift certificate to their restaurant as compensation for what they had to go through.  No sorry, just handed her the ten dollar gift certificate and sent her on her "merry" way.

Yeah...  So, not so much for this place.

Not impressed by this hotel what soever. When you enter the hotel, you think you are at a somewhat 4 start hotel because their lobby is nice...but when you walk around the hotel, you do not feel that way. You feel like you are at a 1 start hotel. The ladies in the front desk were not friendly. They didn't smile. They looked like they hated their job. Not a good sign.

The rooms were "EH" They didn't even have floor moldings throughout the rooms and building! Made the place look tacky. The room kind of smelled. Only thing I liked was the nice view of the back of the hotel and the water.

The gym didn't even feel like a gym. It was a mixture of a game room and a gym. WEIRD. I didn't even want to work out because it's like working out at an arcade. Just doesn't mix. The entrance to the pool was a long hallway through some stairs...it was just kind of creepy.

Overall, the hotel didn't feel welcoming. I would NOT come back here again. GO next door to Oxford Inn or Oxford Suites!

This place has been renamed the Silverdale Beach Hotel. Very easy to get to from the WA-3. The overall town has some great charms that it's holding onto as comercialism slowly sets in. The beauty of this place is the water. It's right off of an inlet of the Puget Sound. The water is clean and clear. If it wasn't freezing, I would have loved to have gone for a swim.

So the hotel itself is nice enough, decent room with great space and great views of the water. Next time I come back, I'll ask for a room all the way in the back so I can see the inlet in all its glory.

Didn't realize this is a pet friendly hotel, there was a Corgi convention going on my last day there! That was a nice way to end my trip with happy fuzz balls frolicking around.
