Silvercup Studios is a decent place to work. It's not very modern, and the holding/changing areas are pretty bleak, but the stages are fine, and the craft services ate usually very good.
Getting there is easy. It's just a couple blocks West of the Queensboro Plaza NW7 stop.
If you're working on 30 Rock you'll have a great time. It's a fun set with a great crew and usually a short day. Just make sure you bring a sweater or jacket because the set is like a meat locker. Seriously, even if it's 90 degrees out and you're shooting a summer scene bring a jacket for in between shots.
If you're working on Gossip Girl, well, it's a horrible production and I won't say any more.
