Silver Spoon is the best experience of thai food! Sometimes they have smooth live piano music playing. And the waiters are nice and caring.

When you enter, there are beautiful fish swimming in a large tank.

My favorite is Pad Thai and Fried Rice.

If your looking for delicious dinner, or lunch, I recommend this place!

I have had take out and eaten in at Silver Spoon. The food is good, and decently priced, although not super memorable. I even forgot to review it!

I first checked it out because I had gotten a coupon. We got pad thai and chicken cashew nut and some spring rolls to go to eat off of for a few days. My boyfriend LOVED the pad thai, I thought everything was pretty good, but not so good that it's worth driving all the way out there for.

The 2nd time we went for my parents Anniversary. We were heading back from Snoqualmie Falls and took the back roads. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Chicken Cashew Nut, and some sort of duck curry. Everyone liked the food, and kinda found a dish they liked the best, so it worked. I didn't really care for the duck curry, but I think that's a personal preference. The thai iced tea was good though. I am a sucker for thai iced tea.

I would go here again if someone else suggested it, or if  I was in the area, but it's not really worth driving out too. I usually prefer noodle dishes, but at Silver Spoon I preferred the chicken cashew nut, which just seems weird to me.

We live in the same neighborhood as Silver Spoon and have dined there many times over the last five years.  We went last night for dinner and we were disapointed in many different aspects.  It was a busy night and we waited much longer than usual for our order to be taken and to receive our appetizers.  Once we got our calamari it was an usually small portion.  We asked our server about it and she claimed they have always served this much.  She did not offer to give any additional appetizers or discount our meals in any way.  We waited longer than usual for our main dishes also.  They were brought out in three separate waves.  I waited more than five minutes after the first entrees were served for mine to arrive.  Once my dinner was there it was not worth it's cost (12.59).  I had trout and there was not much edible fish between skin and bones in it.  Very disapointed overall.  Don't know if we'll be back.

For family celebrations, my family usually goes to one of two places; Ixtapa or Red Robin. I am so thankful that my mom changed that when we tried out Silver Spoon. Their food is delicious, and even my dad and brother who don't like trying different ethnic foods love this place (mostly for the garlic ribs).

My favorite is the panang curry. It makes my mouth and tummy so happy! My sister loves the massaman curry, and my mom gets the cashew chicken. We are all satisfied and stuffed by the end.

The downside? The service can be a wee bit slow and the star ratings are a bit off. However, these should not be enough to turn you away from this culinary gem tucked into a corner of the strip mall.

Family get-togethers are a little more flavorful now that we meet at the Silver Spoon. My parents are picky eaters (oh, the irony), and don't like trying new foods. Luckily, this place has a wide selection of menu items, and I'm always excited to take home my left-overs. It's reasonably priced and enjoyable.

Psst! Take-out is available, too -- in case you need a pajama night with some curry.

The boy and I went here the other day. We were feeling some good Thai food and wanted something close by. I had heard some pretty good things about this location and the Lynnwood location, so why not give it a shot?

It was a Friday night at around 7pm. You would think it'd be fairly full, but there was only one other couple sitting in the corner as we passed by. Walking in, we were faced with a huge fish tank, but no one there to greet us. About a minute later, a woman from AROUND the corner asked us, "TO GO?!" Since I've never been in Silver Spoon before, I didn't know that they had take-out, thus I had no idea what she was talking about. I replied with a, "No..?" Then she seemed a little peeved and showed us to our table, handed us our menus and left. Ok? Thanks?

Our first waitress was very nice and laid back, asked us what we wanted to drink and didn't rush us. It took us awhile to order and once we were ready the first lady from earlier came back and tried to hurry to take our order. Uh, last I checked the restaurant wasn't very full, so what's the rush? I tried to ignore it, and instead focused on the yummy food that was about to be served.

Once our food did arrive, it was again a DIFFERENT lady (how many waitresses do you need?). She was holding the Lemon Grass Chicken which the boy had ordered. She stared at me and said, "You order this?" I was confused by her question because it kind of took me off guard. So I said, "Huh?" and she angrily said, "YOU ORDER THIS? THIS YOURS?" I finally caught on to what she was asking and replied, "Oh, nooo, he ordered that dish" while pointing to the boy. An awkward pause and then she again insists, "So you order this?" while looking at me. I gave up and said, "Yeah, sure." She rolled her eyes, placed the dish in front of me, and walked away. The boy and I just looked at each other in shock for a bit-- could not believe such a highly praised place had such terrible customer service in such a short amount of time.

To rate the food, it was fair. The Lemon Grass Chicken was drenched in some sort of sauce with carrots and a bunch of cabbage. Didn't look too "fancy" just kind of looked like it was thrown together. The chicken didn't even have a chicken texture and definitely didn't taste fresh. I ordered the Bah Mee which looked pretty delicious. Once I had a bite, it was hard to taste the many other flavors because the sauce was so potent and drenched over EVERYTHING. What is it with their sauce?

I give them a 2 star because they really do have potential. The restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming, but they just need to work on their customer service tremendously and enhance the quality of their food. I am willing to try them again, but only at the Lynnwood location.

What are these people talking about?  Granted, I suppose it's possible I came on an off-night (Sat. night and crowded?) and maybe the regular cook was off, but I was not impressed.

New in Duvall, I had a hankerin' for some Thai food and ask a friend for a recommendation.  She whole-heartedly suggest Silver Spoon.  Good sign.  I look at the menu online and phone in an order for crab delight, phad thai and red curry.  As I walk in to pick it up, I'm behind a woman telling her guest how all other Thai restaurants pale compared to this one.  Good sign, again.  I pick up my moderately pricey meal and take it home to share with the Missus.

The Crab Delights were large, but primarily because of a high cream cheese to crab ratio.  Very little crab taste.  The phad thai was a hard-to-break-up congealed lump.  My impression was "bland and oily-tasting," my wife's was "bland and vinegary-tasting."  The curry was a little better, but also bland.

I doubt I'll risk my hard-earned money on another venture here.  Will try Thai Duvall next time.

This Restaurant is awesome. If you're dining in, the atmosphere is great - there's even a piano and they usually have someone playing it during dinner hours. If you're ordering to go, expect your food to be ready quickly to take home and eat piping hot.

The service is great and the Waitresses are always kind and helpful.

As far as the food goes, it's awesome. The Spring Rolls are a fantastic appetizer, and my wife and I have never been dissapointed with the food.

Totally disappointed :( I love Thai food and was excited to try this as I work super close. What a bummer... a friend and I went towards the end of lunch so I am guessing they just gave us the leftovers rather than the freshest. The service was ok.  Food was greasy...
I now realized how spoiled I was being able to walk to Fremont  to eat at so many great Thai restaurants.
Will not go to Silver spoon again.

I just had an amazing meal here. One of my problems with PNW Thai restaurants is "as spicy as you can get it" normally means "tongue tingle." I finally got Silver Spoon to make it spicy enough for me, by saying "hotter than you normally make 5 star."  I believe the waitress confirmed it as 10 star.

Besides the spice factor, even when, on previous visits, the food had been mild, the curries had been tasty and complex. The service is good, and the decor is modern and open making it a great sunny day restaurant. I will be back more frequently now.

    I absolutely adore this place.

I found this place while looking on yelp for nearby Thai restaurants one time and this one got great reviews.

It is a little far for me (since I live right next to the Microsoft campus) so sometimes the traffic getting there is a little rough. But it is so worth it.

The food is always the same, which I definitely appreciate.

Lots of restaurants I've been to in general can really sway one way or the other. I could go one day and It would be amazing while another day it is just "meh."

But their food is always consistently good.

The service is amazing. They are really quick on refilling our water (which is great for my boyfriend because he chugs water.)

If you haven't been here you should definitely come. It does not disappoint.

Years of search for decent Thai in Redmond and now there's Silver Spoon. I know a lot of people like Typhoon, but I really don't like the Phad Thai there, which is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I love Thai food, so whenever they open one in Redmond, I try to get there... FAST.

So my wife, toddler son, and I went there last night for dinner instead of cooking. The pics are from my phone, so they are kinda... not good. Anyway, Silver Spoon is in a strip mall surround by beautiful forests that are quickly being chopped down to make room for more generic houses on Redmond Ridge. It's a nice looking strip mall, to be sure.

The corner of the building has a nice sign, so it's easy to find and the parking is good. When you  walk in the front door, you're greated by a beautiful large tropical fish tank and several Thai folks in Hawaiian shirts. It's not all generic like one you'd see at Md D's or your Dr's office. It's actually nice. The restaurant decor is much nicer than your average Thai shop. They have nice dark grain woods and they actually put some thought in to comfortable dining instead of the over-the-top decor you see at a lot of Thai places. I also like that they have a central kitchen you can look in to and see that it's immaculate instead of sketchy.   Also, they have a live pianist there instead of the annoying canned Thai music common to many places. It was mellow and nice. My son enjoyed watching it. Anyway, we got a nice corner both.

One thing I noticed right away was the unique menus. They are kind of a horizontal flip book with lots of good pictures... Not the teriyaki shop style pictures, but appetizing pictures of the food. It's a nice way to get you hungry. We picked some Satay, Phad Thai and something called "Garlic."   The wait staff was very speed and attentive without being overbearing.

The presentation was universally better than average. We started with  Satay. It was generic, but not bad. I would have preferred a little less turmeric and a little more heat. Peanut sauce was sweet, but not overpowering. I like the cucumber salad that came with it. It had an unusual nice kick to it.  Just when we'd run out of food, they brought on the phad Thai and "Garlic". The Phad Thai was on the brown side for me, but quite tolerable. A little sweet, but that's b/c my wife insists on 1 star. I added some chile sauce and it got better. The "Garlic" was clearly King that night though. It was sauteed chicken covered in GARLIC along with some snow peas and carrots in a thin garlic-oyster sauce. My wife and I arm wrestled for it this morning for our work lunch. Sadly, I have not been working out, so I will be eating some broiler bay.

So, all in all, it's a pretty nice experience. I'd head out there if I were in the neighborhood. It's nice to have an option instead of driving in to Bellevue. I've got a few more to try in Redmond proper, but this is not a bad choice. Next time I'm going to try the pineapple fried rice and a curry. The rice looked really good when it was sitting on my neighbor's table. Also, I'm going to start working out so I have a chance to win the  leftovers next time.

The food is always good and the service is friendly. If you are new in the area. Give it a try . You won't be disappointed.  It is our family's favorite place to go when they visit.

Thanks for continuing to serve good quality food.

All I want to do today is eat at Silver Spoon! I want to dress like Yul Brynner in "The King and I " and stick a funnel in my mouth so that the wait staff can compact spicy, flavorful thai food down into my stomach like a cobra! They probably would do this for me too because they are the warmest waiters and waitresses I've encountered in a long long time. These people do it right so if you want good thai food, no question, you should go to them. My favorite restaurant!

Thai is my personal favorite...along with most American's these days.
I have had bad Thai food and then I have dined at the Silver Spoon in Redmond Ridge and have never been disappointed.

The service is inpeccable and the food is always fresh, fast and a great  value for the money spent.

My personal favorites anywhere I go are always Phad Thai with Shrimp and Cashew Nut Chicken, both 3 stars.

The ambiance of this restaurant also differs from most. There is a grand piano with someone playing at all times, but it never seems too loud...just perfect.

My step-son loves the large tropical fish tank located at the entrance of the restaurant. It keeps him entertained if ever there is a line for a table.

Went back for the 2nd time and they were spot on!  Everything was the perfect amount of spicy and their happy hour can't be beat.  We had two (half size) noodle dishes, Tom Ka Gai, Coconut Prawns and beer for $25.  It's great to have a "nicer" thai place to go to.

Not a bad choice especially in this part of Redmond.
I took mine to-go which could be why I just thought the food was "ok".  Definitely not "stand out" material in the way of Thai food, but not bad either.  The Phad Thai was very dry, the Tom Kha soup was good, but the crab wontons left a lot to be desired.

My favorite Thai place is still The Noodle Boat in Issaquah - the most authentic, interesting and delicious Thai food i've ever laid lips on.

Been here on a few occasions since it's close to home and the service is very friendly but the food has been rather inconsistent.

We almost always order 3 entrees... one is always the eggplant dish and it has never been the same!

But again, one of the only Thai places near me so I can't be too choosy... luckily, they always do it with a smile.

I've only come here once, but it's good enough to warrant more visits to check out other dishes on the menu.  Service is also great and very attentive.  I had a red curry dish with duck which was really, really good!  My hubby, a garlic beef dish, which wasn't as good as we expected.  Actually, we were expecting it to be more like cut steak rather than just beef.  Oh well.  Still, the dish itself wasn't as tasty or garlicky as we thought it should be.  We also had the sampler appetizer dish which was pretty good as well.  Prices were ok, just a wee bit steep, a wee I said, but it matches the wonderful service and food, just not our budget, lol.  But they even gave us extra rice to go with our take home, yay!  I didn't have to cook more rice at home.

    Two minor caveats:
    1) Our take home food was not well sealed in the container, leaking out throughout the bag, so now our CR-V smells like red curry!
    2) Why in the world does it have to be out so far out from civilization?

I would go back once in a blue moon if craving good Thai food in a nice, clean setting.

This place has terrific Thai food. Even though it is located in a strip mall, the quality and general style of Silver Spoon is perfect for a casual but nice weeknight dining experience.

I was really skeptical at first. It's in a strip mall a few doors down from a McDonald's and ... I dunno ... the sign for it looks better suited for an antique toy store or candy shop, not a Thai restaurant. It just kinda looks cheesy.

But it's great, is my point. It definitely borders on the traditional Thai spicy. They ask you for to rate your spice preference from 1 to 5. I asked for a 2, and it was right on the edge between pleasingly spicy and too hot. If you are big man who likes to prove his manliness by doing stupid things, be careful with your spice levels here. A level 5 might kill you. It's insanely hot.

    Anyway, to sum up:

    1. Nice and simple
    2. Impressive
    3. Fantastic curries and noodle dishes
    4. Moderately affordable.

I ate at this restaurant based on its review in Yelp, and I'm happy to say that the reviews are true. =)

The restaurant is impeccably clean (I wouldn't expect anything else judging from its location), the menus have lots of pictures (very helpful), and the staff is patient (*very important* when I'm out to have a girls' chat night).

If you like spiciness, order one number higher than you normally would.

This is why I love it -
I have very high standards for Thai food, because I love it.  Silver Spoon is one of my top 2 Thai restaurants I've tried.

    1. Because the menu is diverse and has my favorite dishes, such as Pad Kee Mao and Cashew Chicken

    2. Because the flavors are incredible and they put plenty of different veggies in their dishes

    3. And because the ambience is great.  While I find those thai restaurants with random Thai decor and peeling paint endearing, Silver Spoon not only looks classy, but has a weekly piano player and awesome staff.

Its definitely a neighborhood favorite - but if you find yourself up Novelty Hill one day you should really check it out.

We first ate at Silver Spoon soon after they opened.  Despite the 10 mile drive from our home, we eat there at least once a month.  This is everything the other reviewers have noted - and they have live music most weekend evenings.

As one who has lived and worked in SE Asia for many years, this comes closer to what I expect from a Thai restaurant than any of the others in this area that I've tried.  The food is excellent, the service impeccable, the ambiance perfect.  Whether it's for a date or a family outing, this is a great place to go.

Special things to try:  Appetizer #11 (the spinach leaves), any of the hot teas, #42 Garlic, and any of the house specials.

The only downside (if there is one) is the satay pieces are much bigger than what you get in Malaysia, Singapore, or Indonesia, so the seasoning doesn't go all the way through.

This is a classy Thai place made to accommodate the American palette and they have certainly adopted American pricing.  Every entree is at least $10. If you want decent Thai food that's 25% - 50% overpriced, this is the answer.

Part of the problem is the choice of meat.  We ordered a Tom Kah Kai soup and all of the chicken was white meat chicken.  I know, many people prefer white meat, but usually that is a choice that comes at an extra cost. Why should I pay inflated standard pricing and subject myself to tough meat?  The beef in the massaman curry was also hard to chew (my teeth are fine, thanks).

Maybe I'm being picky with these guys.  There are definitely some great things about Silver Spoon.  Where else would you find a Thai restaurant with a live piano player?  The exotic fish tank also adds a nice touch.

This is a restaurant that I have only had takeout from. But trust me, dining in here his high on my to-do list.
I admit that I have very little experience with Thai food. However, what I DO know is that I never really gave it a chance until someone presented copious amounts of Silver Spoon to my dinner table. Since then, this has become another favorite choice in takeout at our house. Unfortunately I don't recall the names of the dishes I was eating (except the Pad Thai, my favorite) but still, I loved all of it! I'll be happy to update my review after we venture in to the actual restaurant but so far we are more than pleased with the Thai food from here.

This place was actually pretty good! I wasn't too sure just because its in sort of a strip-mall type of area where there is tons of new development but the place is really pretty tasty.

I ordered the yellow curry dish... god I love yellow curry. This place did a good job with it. We had ordered some spring rolls too which were also very good.

There was a piano player playing live music which was a nice touch.... its sort if fancy without being really too fancy. The food is good.

Love this place! The food is delicious, and portions are large. To go orders have 10 minute wait time, super fast. Inside the restaurant is lovely, very calm and pleasant atmosphere, soft music, very clean, and friendly service too. Great location- very close to my house, and if it wasn't, I would move just to eat here every week! :)

We have been about 5 times and done a mix of dine in and carry out. I wouldn't trust carry out. I checked the order at the restaurant and it had to be fixed then when we got home it was wrong again! Total Bummer.
The food is good, once they get the order correct.
Red Curry, Coconut Soup and Papaya Salad are things I would order again.

Our favorite Thai restaurant. Nice ambiance, friendly, efficient waitstaff. Food is always tasty and well done, haven't been disappointed yet. This seems to be a well managed restaurant.

This is my most favorite Thai food in the world!

    Favorites:

    Yellow Curry with Chicken
    Pad Thai with grilled Tofu
    Spring Rolls

I don't know what it is, but I'm getting hungry (at 10am) just thinking about it!

In addition, the staff are super friendly. They often have live piano music behind the huge aquarium. It's a casual atmosphere (why do they have 2 TVs playing? this isn't a sports bar).... and I probably do take out 50% of the time.

If you love Thai, this is well worth the drive up the hill to Redmond Ridge. Absolutely the best!

We just moved down the street from this restaurant. Seems like there's always a neighborhood Thai restaurant wherever we move. Nonetheless, it was inevitable to try this place out. My girlfriend picked up some food on the way home one night. We tried some usuals to see if they were any good. Chicken Pad Thai was excellent as was the Garlic Beef. We'll be sure to try more menu items and probably dine in next time.

A solid 3 and half stars. I've eaten here a few times and always get good food and quick efficient service. A nice restaurant in the Redmond Ridge area for a satisfying meal.

I would have given Silver Spoon a better review if our last visit hadn't gone so badly.  The first time we ate here was fantastic- the restaurant is beautiful and clean, and the food is really great (especially for the price!).  The garlic tofu, the jungle curry, even the simple stir-fry and fresh rolls were all fantastic.  I've gotten take-out here 3 or 4 times and it was always great.
The reason I bumped it down to 3 stars was the fact that our second visit was a disaster.  We came by around 5pm one day for dinner- the restaurant was less than half-full.  We waited a long time to be seated- but instead of seating us in the main area, my fiance and I were put at a table in a corrider between 2 tables PACKED with screaming children.  I have no idea why we weren't seated in the main area away from the noisy families.  After being seated, we didn't see our waitress for at least 10 minutes, when she came by to fill our water glasses, and then left without taking our orders.  We stared at each other in disbelief, gave it another 5 minutes, and then walked out.  I've never walked out of a restaurant like that before, but it didn't seem like we were ever going to get any attention (or food!).
So our last visit didn't go well, but I'll give them another shot- the food is REALLY yummy. And if nothing else, take-out is easy enough!

I have been here probably 5 times, and its always very fresh and tasty.  Their curry is always delicious and I'm not even really a curry guy.  Their 1-5 star spicyness level is pretty accurate, even though 5 star isn't as spicy as I'd like, but I'm a weirdo.  Excellent service and friendly staff every time.

Good food. If I am out in Redmond, I like to stop here. Ordered their chicken skewers with peanut sauce for a party this weekend and everyone loved it. I could drink the peanut sauce as a soup, I am a huge fan!
