Discovered the Plume Saloon many years ago when seeking respite from I-70 traffic. Loved its eccentric fear & loathing style back then, and greatly missed this joint the years it went dark. Now it's back and better than ever. The environment and friendly crowd here are pretty dynamic, you never know what to expect.

Mighty Arrow on tap. Free pool table. The chef is a bit of a foodie, everything is made by hand using fresh ingredients, definitely a cut above the usual pub fare. I was impressed with the chicken fried chicken, which was a lot fancier than it sounds.

On my last visit, some free samples of outstanding goose confit left me drooling. The barkeep bought my first beer. And a lovely angel gifted me a backrub. Doesn't get any better than that.

It's a five star dive! I would say their food challenges big city plates and the people are authentic! Don't miss your opportunity to vacate traffic and relax with good peoples, an adult beverage, and a tasty bite.

It's hard to find an authentic mountain hole-in-the-wall.  It's even harder to find one with amazing food.  Go on a Saturday night and get the special.  The chef works miracles; crafting 5 star quality food out of a tiny kitchen behind the bar!  Where else can you sip a 1554, chat up some mountain locals and stoke the wood fire by the bar all while enjoying a decadent plate of Saganaki (Greek Flaming Cheese)?

If the owner is there, food is good.  Hours change daily.  Bizarre crowd and we're proud of it.  Everyone welcome.  Fresh cut french fries
