I just got back from spending my first and not last time in Idyllwild,CA. What an amazing little town nestled in the San Jacinto moutains.  The Silver pines lodge was a grandiose occassion.  Chris (owner) was very hospitable, and gracious.  I felt like I was home away from home.  The cabin is nestled two blocks from the main strip of eateries, shops, etc.  The ambiance of the silver pines lodge is quite engaging.  It's a perfect romantic getaway spot.  Each cabin has a breath-taking view of the creek and moutains.  Waking up to sounds of nature is so much more relaxing and peaceful versus car alarms, sirens, and the everyday hassles of San Diego.  No wonder their were so many people from Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego roaming the streets of Idyllwild.  If you want peace, relaxation, and natural beauty check out Idyllwild.
