so my first approximation was off. at best, it's about 2 1/3mi. but if you think about it, it's still a decent 4+mi. run after completing at 2 laps.

the new path is complete and it makes the run more aesthetically pleasing. silver lake is a beautiful neighborhood! also, it's much easier to maneuver around people and prevent getting hit by a car. for some crazy reason, i prefer not running into traffic and dying.

In response to the previous review, the water was depleted temporarily because the city found a too high concentration of bromides in the water and had to take it out and clean it. Now there are little black balls covering the smaller reservoir to deflect sunlight so it doesn't react with the water and create more bromides. The balls are going to be there for 4-5 years, I think. They are also building a small park and walk/running path on the side of the reservoir that has no dirt path. It should be done soon, and so far it looks like it is going to be really nice. When I get the motivation to get off my lazy ass, I love running around the reservoir. It's pretty and you definitely don't feel like you are in the middle of Los Angeles. I highly recommend it!

my favorite place to go on a run, even though there are shit-tons of cars speeding by.

it's 2 miles around, twice around goes by pretty quick and by the end of it you've run 4 miles, decent sweat.

(if there's traffic, i secretly like to try n beat the cars to the end of the street)
