2 reviews for Silver Lake Park
Many many opportunities to find a quiet spot and a bit of water and green here.
Thanks to wikipedia for the facts:
Silver Lake Park --- the first city park to be established on Staten Island --- Silver Lake was created in 1917 when water was brought there from the Ashokan Reservoir in Ulster County, New York, 119 miles (192 km) away, to fill it. The project took three days and was completed on October 25. The reservoir became the largest body of fresh water on Staten Island.
In addition to the reservoir, Silver Lake Park is noted for its public golf course.

This is really a review for the tennis courts. They are pretty good (4 of them). If you go at the wrong time, there might be people checking passes (weekends and mornings). There is often a lot of debris on the courts and one of them at the left end is sandy from the golf course hence the 3 stars.
