I used to live in Indianapolis, but when my friend brought me here, I was still surprised! It's one of the cutest stores I've been in! Whether I'm shopping for myself or a friend, I'm bound to find something super adorable!

With funny and weird magnets and cards, beautiful jewelry and tons of other cool doodads, I could easily blow a wad of money in here with batting an eyelash. Absolutely a joy to shop here.

This is probably the first unique store my wife and I have encountered in Indy (not counting the Colts Fan store).

My wife and I came out here last Friday for "Midnight Shopping."  We thought this was going to be a mini-black friday like event with tons of people.  yeah, we were mistaken.

We came into the store, and saw that it is divided into two parts- jewlery on one side and "knick knacks" on the other.  Generally I dont' really care that much for knick knacks, but this store has it going on.

On the knick knacks side, they had all sorts of stuff, from sushi serving kits, to unique holiday cards.... it kind of reminded me of an Urban Outfitters, though it wasn't trying as hard.  They had some cool tins of gum.  They had things on them like the "Last Supper" and another, which said "Football is Gay" (I almost burst out into laughter).

On the other side they had jewlery, and what I was really digging, were the watches.  Very unique, and fashionable, I was tempted to buy one, as everything in the store was 10% off.  I fought the urge, though it was a tough one.

Overall- I would say this is one of the coolest, if not the coolest store in Indy that I've been to.  The staff is SUPER friendly, and there's plenty of things there to hold anyone's attention.  check this one out folks.

This is such a fantabulous place to browse around on a lunch break with your girlfriends. It's fun to giggle over the silly things we find there. From semi-rude magnets and downright hilarious cards to incredible jewelry and stuff for your house or apartment, you'll absolutely find something for anyone on your list at Silver in the City/At Home in the City. (Two stores combined).

What started as a jewelry store has expanded to include a little of everything. If you can stop drooling over the jewelry long enough to look around, you'll find some adorable baby gifts, wedding gifts and stuff for yourself.

One of my latest favorites is recycled blankets--yet another shout-out to all the green items you'll find in the store.

HINT: You'll find a bit of a price range here ... from the cheapest gag gifts (a few bux) to lush, incredible pieces of furniture and jewelry. Enjoy!

I love, love, love this store! If you are ever in need of a fun gift, head to Silver in the City/At Home in the City, and you will surely find exactly what you need. The store has an impressive inventory and it's easy to get a little overwhelmed by all of the choices you'll encounter.

There's a great baby area, with lots of humorous takes on parenthood - a Porno for Women book full of photos of men taking care of household duties, "Boob Man" beanies for babies, "My Dad's a Geek" onesies, etc. A must-visit store if you are shopping for soon-to-be or new parents.

Like Francine's in Beech Grove, they also carry one of my new favorites - the Anne Taintor line of "Vintage Revisited" tongue-in-cheek accessories for "domesticated" women. Of course, I had to pick up a few of those items as holiday gifts.

I also liked the selection of Christmas decor and ended up picking up a very unique ornament for a secret santa exchange. I'd tell you what it is, but what if my secret recipient reads this!?! You'll just have to go to the store yourself and see if you can find it too!

Silver in the City / At Home in the City is one of the best stores in the city. Go there!

Silver in the city is a great little boutique for jewelery.  Especially if you're into not-so-flashy, hip, cool stuff.  I could definitely spend a lot of money here.

Most of the other things including the home decor can be found elsewhere cheaper.

Definitely worth a stop along your trip down Mass Ave.

A really, really great place to purchase gifts, especially jewelry and off-the-wall and stuff (I've bought great funny and irreverent b-day cards, b-day gifts, d-i-y books, my q-chaise -- on sale, no less -- from there, in addition to plenty of rings I always get compliments on when I wear).

Love just dropping by and checking out the cool and unique items from local artists and craftspeople -- and the prices are comparable to some horrible mass-market option that just reeks of boring uniformity. Some stuff is pricey (furniture, some decor) but for the most part prices are good.

Both the staff and the owner are neat-o, always nice and helpful -- and cool when I just drop in to browse. Plus I can always bet on getting a Neko Case fix whenever one particular staffer is working, which is always nice!

This is one of my all time favorite places to buy silver earrings, not too expensive but quality all the way. When we lived in Indy my annual v-day gift would usually be a stylin' necklace from this place. Lots of home decor as well, but all in all a  great place to find eclectic gifts and what nots.

One of the first local places on Mass Ave, they offer everything from funky jewelry to goofy kitchen magnets.  Great place for gifts, or something for the home.  Friendly and fun staff, reasonable prices, and always crowded.  Am loving their silk-covered writing books (for VM messages) at the moment.

Really great place to get gifts. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The stuff they have here is perfect for something fun, quirky and different than just the run of the mill gift. I drop by here usually at least once a month to check out what they have. I like their cards too. It is a bit pricey but I would rather pop in here and know that I will get something unique than run all over town just to get a cheaper less interesting item. They also give a good price range so there ARE little cuty items to get as well that won't send you over the top on spending.  Some of their items are also sold in museum stores like the MOMA  which really give you exceptional things. So,If you want unique or special items this is the place to come!!

Very cool little store filled with things my friends in bigger cities are jealous of....great selection of hand-crafted, elegant rings and necklaces, etc, funny baby stuff, and sleek, artsy things for the house.  A bit pricey, but worth it because it's cheaper than going out of town.

One my favorite boutiques! I drive 2 hours just to go. Great place to buy gifts. Whether it be $5 or $300. They have the neatest things (Frames of all kinds, Books, Stationary, Kids Toys, Cool Clocks). I could be there for 2 hours b/c there are so many things to look at. Funniest things. Love it!
