Though I rarely get to eat here, when I want to celebrate for real, this is the place that I go. This great restaurant used to be one of Tulsa's best kept secrets, and it probably would still turn the casual Tulsan away with its outward appearance... At least it would if they don't know what's inside. The place has always been a little pricey for the casual eater, but now with other restaurants hiking their prices or cutting portions, trying to keep up with the flow of money, both the food and the price at Silver Flame stay exactly the same. I have yet to find a restaurant anywhere that can keep up with Silver Flame's greatness.
Edit: In response to the undeserved second review of this restaurant, all I have to say is that several courses before your meal is the mark of a true restaurant. I realize many Tulsans are used to the casual dining experience where this doesn't occur, but in other countries especially (since this is not an American style restaurant), food before your meal is somewhat expected. The fact that they give it to you in this restaurant for free is just an extra bonus. Can't wait to go back... :)
Oh wowwie! I'm a first for an old Tulsa steak house. Anyway, this guy is a total rip off of Jamils on 51st and Harvard. I got the Rib Eye steak and it was amazing I shall admit. All the crap that came before the meal was a waste. A cabbage roll, tabouli salad, 3 different veggies raw, bread, the list continues. Just bring me the steak and be off with the rest.
The service was pretty good. Price kinda high but I realize they have to make up for all the waste they plate for you before your meal.
