Pretty decent selection of stuff but can get boring if you go everyday.  But they got everything here.  Italian, Deli foods, Japanese,  Bim bim bop korean stuff, salads, and all the stuff they have in the buffet.  The buffet stuff doesn't change often.  The atmosphere of Silo is clean and has a nice eating area and you can look at the other people choose their food.  Lots of desk jockeys here and it gets really busy during lunch.  I recommend not to go hear early for lunch, they arent fully prepared until 12 i think.

I life the buffet line here (3.69 for 1/2 pound). The vegetables are very fresh. I like the seafood and the squid salad they have; it was spicy and tasty. On the other side, they have the hot food ---- mac and cheese (not too shabby), salmon, beef, and the pasta w/ broccoli and shimp --- that was it!

The big surprise here is the burger. (SILO BURGER). What I meant to say, it is good for a deli type burger.

FYI: Facility is very clean.

Good place for lunch and a quick bite.

This place is convenient because it's like 10 seconds from the building that I work in.  On days when I "just don't know what I want", or don't feel like eating the boring salad that I brought, I will waltz over to Silo.

I definitely agree with the other reviewers.  The place is CLEAN.  They have a wide variety of options.  Soup, salad, sandwiches, sushi, etc. etc. etc.........I tend to make a salad/hot dish concoction to take back to my desk.  The sushi is ok...definitely not the greatest in the area.  I will confess that I will get sushi once in a while (when I'm too lazy to seek out sushi elsewhere).

Great lunch spot when you and your co-workers feel like grabbing something and no one can agree on one thing.

On a side note....they recently filmed a scene here for the upcoming movie "Duplicity", which stars Julia Roberts and Clive Owen.

Anything with a sneeze guard I tend to avoid.

I only made an exception because my workmates always go here and it peaked my curiosity, plus there's not many decent lunch options in this area. Silo is your basic run of the mill deli-cafe-build-our-own-salad-sushi-udon-noodle-bu rger joint. They have everything you could possibly imagine for lunch, the salad bar is fresh and regardless of the sneeze guard it's actually pretty good. Would I go here everyday? No. Would I consider it an option atleast once a week, yes.

PS Extremely clean facilities, which is always a good sign when setting foot into fast food cafes.

This is a great spot in an otherwise crummy (food-wise) neighborhood. With a bajillion options (udon soup, sushi, burgers, pizza, wraps, panini etc) you could eat here five days a week and never have the same thing. But regardless of when I go, I end up with the same things from the lunch buffet---cold salmon and caesar salad, brussel sprouts (these are SOOOO good), and gooey mac and cheese.

You can come to Silo everyday for lunch and satisfy all of your work-week cravings. Sure there's a deli counter that has pre-made and made-to-order sandwiches. There's also the standard point and mixed salads. And a cold salad bar. And sushi to order. Wait a minute! A wood burning pizza station? A noodle bar? A burger corner with fries? A hot food buffet with steak, salmon, and fresh steamed vegetables? Fresh fruit? Yogurts, juices, waters, galore? The list goes on and on and on.

Silo is also immaculate, and there are plenty of nicely laid out tables in the front and back. The high ceilings really add a modern touch. The other day I got steak, salmon, garlic green beans, fried rice and some fruit-- for $7.50. It was a hard decision, but I'll be back next week to try out a bit of eeeverything else.

there's a lot of these type of lunch eateries around town - the ones that offer all sorts of food buffet style so you can pick and choose as you like.  but Silo has them beat in regards to healthy food options, more variety, and CLEANLINESS.  This place is clean and that is key.

I got food from the salad buffet - it was good and the price was reasonable.  They also have a bunch of raw drink options.

I give them minus 1 star only because they did not offer brown rice with their bibimbap - but the fact that they even had bibimbap is pretty damn sweet.  They also got less than 5 stars because the dessert options are nothing fab.

nevertheless, great greek salad at the salad bar - i'd so go again.

If you work in lower mid-town (is that even what it's called?) - you have to know about this place. It's super clean and it's super good.

Be warned, it can be overwhelming the first time around - but once you figure our the lay of the land, you're golden. Perfect lunchtime stop - there's a pasta bar, burger grill, sushi, salad bar, hot buffet, cold buffet, pizza, teriyaki, soba noodles and I'm sure there's more - I just haven't gotten that far.

Big fan of the cold buffet - those little tofu pockets rock ass.

Maybe I was spoiled by a place called Napa Ranch in San Francisco which is set up almost identically to this place. (Disregard the Yelp reviews on that place, as it is awesome). Anyway I have just started to work around the corner and am furious w/lack of suitable lunch places in the area. I do not have time to run all over Manhattan looking for a good lunch. I haven't explored Silo as much as is possible as the buffet was unappealing to me and I am a PENNY PINCHER. I have stuck to the pre-made sushi mostly but yesterday ventured on some clam chowder which was thin and lackluster, missing ingredients and flavor. Excrutiatingly disappointing, as I am a soup fiend. I dread this winter and where I will find my precious soup. I would like to try their soba and udon but am turned off by the prices.

This is your not so average deli.  In addition to the salad, sandwich, soup station- they have good sushi and an udon/soba soup counter. I love the udon soup, they will customize it and throw in whatever the hell you want.

Egg white omelet today with turkey bacon? Surely!  Bim Bop or ham brie and apple sandwich? Well Delightful!

It is a good spot to go to, they keep it spotless, fresh and conveniently located next to my work too :)  I just had a grrrreeaat hang over breakfast from there thought I'd send some kudos over to my silo friends.

okay this place is amazing.  i got a synergy drink there, and it was RAW (i'm phasing into raw).  plus they have so much healthy stuff here, like salads and organic stuff.  i'd go back again and certainly get my lunch from here.  oh my synergy drink was 4.99, but thats considered cheap for a raw drink.

oh...AND...it WASN'T freezing in there which was awesome bc most places like that are usually freezing inside.  i loved that and totally noticed it.

go raw and help raise lime awareness.

After reading that last comment I was a bit wary about coming to Silo but decided those things are just random snafus that even the best eateries and restaurants encounter. So I ventured on down with my two co-workers yesterday and this is now our favorite place! Silo has high ceilings and is white and just exudes cleanliness, which I highly value for an eatery. Though it was packed it was not messy, and the turnover rate for food was awesome. Also, they have absolutely EVERYTHING under the sun available at this place, including organic/soy foods & snacks. I got a bibimbap and miso soup, which were both delicious (i love asian food!) while my co-workers got make your own pasta and selections from the salad bar. They also loved their food and declared Silo their "go-to" eatery from now on. Definitely check out their selection of fruits. They had papayas when we were there, which we haven't seen anywhere else thus far. HIGHLY recommended!
