Crying Tiger - two of my favorite words in the English language because of Silk Thai. If you come here you have to try it. The beef is tender and always cooked to perfection. It comes with cucumbers, tomatoes and dipping sauce.

Mr. B's favorite - Pad Kee Mao cooked to a Thai 10, yes he's an animal and that's the way he enjoys his noodles blazing hot!

We've also enjoyed the chicken and beef satay skewers, pineapple chicken with fried rice and fresh rolls.

If you come from 3 to 6 you get 25% off. The food is fresh, the service is always friendly.

Pretty good Thai restaurant in one of HB's great strip malls. Mandy doesn't really eat Thai because of her 6 weeks in Thailand. I missed her. Anywho...Right next to it is:
* My tanning salon where I get my bronze on
* Super Mex where I get my fat on
* FedEx Kinko's where I make copies of my butt cheeks
* Mother's Market where I picket against hippies
* Starbucks for fuel
* an Italian place that is always deserted

I digress...back to da grinds. Green curry chicken was excellent but a lil high dollar. Medium spice had some kick. Next time I'm rocking the hot so when I'm laying in the tanning bed in my thong, I'll have a runny nose streaming down my cheeks.

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Silk Thai. Went there based on a friend's recommendation and we were not dissapointed.

We went around 8pm on a Friday night and they were definitely busy so prepared to wait a little bit if needed. The service is fantastic, they are really nice, attentive, but not overly attentive.

The food is wonderful, we had tom yum gai soup (thai hot and sour soup) and pad see ew with shrimp. Both were wonderful. We ordered the soup mild but let me tell you there was a kick but a good kick. The pad see ew was also ordered mild and that did come mild and delicious. There were tons of great options so I imagine we will be returning often. There are lots of vegetarian options too. Total bill for us: one soup and one noodle dish (enough for two) plus a water and a lemonade: $25.

Note on location: it is in the same shopping center as Mother's Market on Beach Blvd. Google Maps is incorrect on actual location but is otherwise correct.

This is a fantastic Thai restaurant.  The service is so friendly and the food is amazing.  I can easily find a delicious curry or noodle dish and ask for it vegan. It's definitely worth arriving from 3 to 6 to get their discount.

I've been a patron of Silk Thai for a couple years now, and it just recently dawned on me to review it.

To be honest, I was shocked to see ANY negative reviews. It is hands down the best Thai cuisine in California. It is healthfully prepared and the meat is of the highest quality. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say. I live in Los Angeles now and still drive to HB for the Prik King.

Also, I read that the staff was rude. I'm on a first name basis with them at this point, but even before, they have a holiday gift bag every winter with authentic Thai souvenirs, they are so friendly and I have no idea how someone could say anything bad about the service.

In conclusion, by far the best Thai food in Cali.

I've been craving Thai for the longest time yet somehow week after week I manage not to try any of the numerous Thai places sitting patiently among my bookmarks.  Finally this past Friday I got my Thai fix and it was so worth the long wait!

We showed up around 5pm like a couple of senior citizens but it turned out to be a good thing as (a) I hadn't eaten lunch and was starving and (b) turns out they offer a 20% discount between 3pm-6pm.  That deal is good for the entire bill including drinks so it worked out to be quite a good saving.

This is a "cute" restaurant.  Cute decor, cute waitresses in traditional outfits, cute trinkets on the walls.  It's a really quaint, comfortable little place.  We ordered a couple of Singha beers and I studied the menu like the mad starving woman that I was.  I decided on Panang curry with chicken, the hubby got cashew pork and we ordered Thai fried rice with shrimp to share.  Note: entrees do not come with steamed rice here, it's $1 extra and they also offer brown rice.

My curry was amazing.  A perfect harmony of coconut, peanut and chili.  My taste buds were dancing!  The chicken was so tender and bursting with flavor.  The portion of meat was generous and both my chicken and my husband's pork was good quality meat without any fatty pieces.  The fried rice was also great.  Delicate and fragrant with juicy, plump shrimp scattered throughout.

As with many places you can pick your heat level on a scale of 1-10.  I'm proud to say I mastered a 7 ("no babe you're not sweating, you're glistening").  The spice really brought out the flavors of the curry.

Service was attentive, water was offered, plates were cleared promptly, all the staff called out a thank-you and goodbye as we were leaving.  I left with a full belly, burning mouth and a smile on my face.  What more could you ask for?

I'm changing this to a 5 star.  Just wonderful food with great prep and delivery.  This is a small place in a big strip center about a mile from the beach.  NOT a fancy place for that big proposal, but if you want the best Thai food of your life, go here.  The panang and the spring rolls are two of my favorites.

I'm very religious about getting my oil changed and today was the day. $500 later, I was going to treat myself to lunch at Thai Pepper which i love Love LOVE, but still had to get my hair trimmed, so I headed down Beach Blvd. After the cut, it's about 1:30 and I'm dying, so I decided to have lunch at Silk Thai at the Newland Center.

I've been to this place once before for dinner and thought - meh but since I was in the mood for Thai, I passed up Super Mex and L&L to give Silk Thai another try.

OK, pet peeve of mine, but if you're going to offer a "lunch special" with soup, salad and wonton (?) at least make a decent effort with those add-ons. If you don't want to make the effort, don't offer a "lunch special".

First off, the soup. Looked good. Rice noodles, my fave. But, the soup had absolutely NO flavor. Come on, it's broth and this is a Thai restaurant. Use some soy sauce, a few chilis, some garlic and galang. How hard is that?

Wonton(?) - first off, why am I getting wonton in a Thai restaurant? And, if you're going to give me wonton, give me two, with some filling, on a plate. Don't put half a fried noodle on the same dish with my soup and call that a wonton, For Shame!

Salad - it was meager, but at least they used freshly grated carrot and purple cabbage. I don't like my salads swimming in dressing, but come on. Put Some Dressing On The Salad! or forget it!

I ordered Pad Se Ew for my entree and here, I have to give Silk Thai some kudos. It was excellent! Smoky from the wok, real Chinese broccoli and just the right about of sweetness. However, this entree did not compensate for the overall averageness of the lunch special.

And, this place is way over priced. "Lunch specials" start at $7.99! This is about $1.50 over what it should be.

The service was competent and quick, but don't take a $20 for a $16 check and say to me "do you want change"? I'm a good tipper, but no, service DID NOT warrant a 25% tip. Bring me the change. Tsk Tsk

This place was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. And, if I did order here, I would definitely do the take away. Order some noodles and a vegetable and go eat at home in my jammies.

It's fairly difficult for me to find a decent Thai place nearby. I swear I'm not too picky but I've just had a lot of very mediocre Thai food that just ends up being very expensive and that just ruins it. So in comes Silk Thai and maybe I'm just extra excited for it because it's nearby (I think I'm barely in the limits for free delivery but usually I just eat there or pick up anyway). I usually lunch here and am very satisfied with their lunch portion size. I usually get the pad thai and the panang curry. Both very delicious. Had dinner here with the BF because I decided it would meet his Thai standards as well. It did. And we ordered the angel wings which were delish. And the fact that they're fried and my health conscious BF who frowns at me when I want something fried enjoyed it, it's a big deal. The sauce really put us over, sweet, spicy, not heavy... delish!

This place is growing on me. I came back with a bunch of friends and had family style dinner. Since its Lent, I couldn't eat meat. I ordered Tom Yum Goong, the hot and sour soup with mushroom and shrimp. It was quite good, and we finished the whole pot. I also ordered the mussumon curry, and I thought that was delicious.

The extra star goes to the waitress. She's Thai and was just super sweet.  Everything was on point and she recommended some other yummy dishes like the beef salad for my friends. The mango with sweet rice was also good,

Thai food  is amazing as always, filed with tofu, coconut milk, vegetables ,peanut sauce and yes smells amazing!
After playing in the waters of Huntington beach,my tummy wanted some good spicy food. And yes we found this place on the way.And the menu had the typical Thai curries. We ordered Panang curry, pad thai, cashew nuts, eggplant, mixed vegetables, red curry and yes green tea to digest all that good food . the food was good and the people were extremely friendly as we ordered every dish after finishing up one and realizing that we needed more food to fill us up,
The cashewnut entree was great,it was a combination of pineapple, mushrooms, and cashewnuts and the other thai dishes were stereotypical. It's a small place, but  it definitely can satisfy any customer :)
It's a safe place to go if you are not familiar with any eat outs in that area and wish to eat some good spicy food. But i really do wish they were more creative, and didn't name it "SILK THAI CUISINE"..ahmm seriously???silk???? ;)

Reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere, every dish seemed to be a winner!  We came here with a large group for a birthday and they treated us like rockstars.  EVERYONE in our group was raving!  Before this visit, I used to say I didn't like Thai food... but afterward... man oh man, am I a fan!

Like many others, I'll agree that Tom Kha Kai chicken coconut milk soup was stupendous.  Downright FAB.  UNFORGETTABLE.  Don't let the strip mall facade food you--this place is a diamond in the rough for sure.

I'm a Thai food snob and I found the phad thai to be very satisfying.  I always get the phad thai with Thai iced tea and my girlfriend is very fond of the phad see ew.  Admittedly I haven't tried any seafood yet which is basically my barometer for how good a thai restaurant is, but the standard thai lunch fare is good stuff.  Oh and they deliver :)

Very rarely do I write bad reviews for restaurants. But I'm 100% positive I'll never step foot in this place again.

We ordered some basic dishes. Noodle dish, appetizer, and something off the grill (which was less of an entree and more of an appetizer). Portions were weak and service was poor.

Let's start with the Silver Noodles which are supposed to be needle like noodles that are clear with a distinct sauce, not just Chop Suey. I say Chop Suey because they threw just about all crap in there. We even got a lonesome shrimp in our chicken dish. Who knew?

The place is clean, but the waitress basically ignored our requests to get water and chopsticks. The dinner specials were reasonably priced, but I tend to go for more of the Chef's specialties than the generic dishes.

It was lacking, MSG was a central ingredient, and the sticky rice was.. stale by the time we got it.

Our standard Thai place which would be infinitely better with delivery :) In the shopping complex with Albertson's and Mother's - right about in between. If you're craving decent Thai food this is a good quick place with friendly people.

The regular order for us is:
Pad See Ew - my favorite
Pad Thai - classic
Spring Rolls
Tom Kha Gai - mmmm if you like lemograss you will looovee this soup
Sticky Rice
One of the curries

If you do order for pick up and there happens to be a crowd of people waiting up front, just make your way to the back of the room where the register is. I find that the food is typically ready even faster than they say it will be - which is generally pretty fast (on average 15-20 minutes.) Also, if you like it REALLY spicy, make sure to make it clear... maybe it's just over the phone, but spicy is usually not very spicy.

This is a decent place for Huntington Beach. Being part Thai myself, I like to believe I know good Thai food when I've had it.
I came here for lunch with a friend after reading some reviews on Yelp. To be honest, if I wanted Thai food, I'd stick to Long Beach where there's more better ethnic restaurants. But I thought I'd give it a try anyways.
Nothing was spectacular. We ordered a lot of food too.

Appetizer:
Angus Beef Satay
Mango Salad

Entree:
Crying Tiger
Red Curry with Chicken
Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

I'd say that the best dish would have been the Crying Tiger. Meat was nice and tender and cooked to perfection. The dipping sauce is really good as well. Everything else was mediocre. I'd swing by this place again if I was in the area and craving Thai.

After reading decent reviews on Yelp, I thought I would check out Silk Thai Cuisine for lunch.  The location has ample parking and the restaurant is clean and bright.  Service was friendly and helpful.  I tried the Pad Kra Pow (Chili & Basil) with chicken.  This dish had some heat but not a lot of flavor.  I would definitely add more basil.  The lunch special comes with soup and salad.  Again, everything was pretty bland which is not what I think of when I crave Thai food.

The location and service warrant another chance, but they will have to really pick up their game to compete with Thai Pepper and Phuket Thai up the street.

I've been coming here for a very, very long time; lived in the area since birth. But in the past 2 weeks, I've been here 3 times.

It's always been extremely good, but lately it's just, well.. better! The flavors are spot on, no complaints.

The service is great and the girls are so sweet and very personable. Always curious about how hot I ordered my curry (4). They like to chat, but not to an annoying extent at all.

I also know for a fact that they are always adding new stuff to the menu, because I once went there and the owner was trying "new" dishes and was very excited about, talking about them to the customers.

This is definitely the best Thai food I've ever had, and I've had a lot from a wide array of places, all over the place. Their dinner special is a GREAT deal, too.

Wow, this place really impressed me.

Moo Yang (Grilled pork shoulder) with lime sauce was so tasty. Not only did they marinate the pork perfectly but also the sauce.  My fiance found the sauce to be a little on the sour side, but I loved it.  The portion was a little small though.

Sticky Rice!!!!! Wow, not much Thai restaurants serve sticky rice.  I hate rice but I love sticky rice. Sticky rice is eatten instead of rice in E-san region. (N/NE Thailand) We normally eat it with: satay (meat on stix), Esan sausage, grilled chix, som tum, yum neau, crying tiger. It's  finger food, you dip a couple of fingers in water and grab a bite size piece of meat and rice and consume. You can also use sticky rice to soak up sauces or dip...extra tasty. This place cooks it just right, some places tend to over cook it.  You gotta try it.

Som Tom, the portion was kinda small but the flavor was dead on.  The only thing that was missing was dried shrimp (size of krill) , which I don't really care for anyways(don't enjoy the texture). Order this dish with at least a #5 spicyness. It's meant to be a little hot.

Thai Iced Tea, my fiance says Cha Thai in Orange is better. I thought it was fine.

I was surprised they had "O-leng" and "Cha Ma now", I don't think I know any other Thai restaurant that serves that. People in Thailand actually drink thoses drink more than Thai ICed Tea.  If you like coffee, try the o-lng. IF you like sweetened tea, try the cha ma now (thai tea with lemon). It's a rare find, so enjoy.

Now the sad part, their phad thai was pretty boring, small portion, looked unappealing, a little greasy. Phad thai is usually a little red or a little yellow. When we first saw the phad thai, we know it wasn't going to go well. IT was WHITE!! Phad Thai is usally the dish you order at every Thai restaurant to determine foundation. I was going to give this place a 4 star but I think the sticky rice deserves extra credit.

Overall, this place was delicious. I loved my moo yang and kow nuew (sticky rice).  We're definitely going back if were in the area again.

Avoid stir frys at most Thai restaurants, their usually Chinese influenced dishes. Thai stir frys are usually on the dry side, like pha pad pik (deep fried fish stir fried with chilli paste...yum).  Saucy stir frys such as chix and broc are Chinese.

My mom and I noticed this cute little place about a year ago and have been talking about trying it ever since. Well, yesterday we finally did. It was very clean inside, the bathrooms were pristine and the waitresses were very friendly.

For lunch, my mom ordered the lunch special pad thai with shrimp, which came with soup and a salad with honey mustard dressing. Now that I think about it, I think we were supposed to get rice? Oh well, we didn't need it anyways. I shared a little with her since pad thai is my favorite, and also ordered the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and a side of steamed broccoli. Everything was very good. The pad thai was similar to what we're used to (thai spice) but it was a lot lighter and not as corn starchy and heavy. Yum! The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce were deliciousss too. For some strange reason I'm always craving thai spring rolls. The steamed broccoli was just plain delicious broccoli with no buttery sauces or oil. I also loved the soup and salad that came with the lunch special.

I'll definitely come back here again when I'm craving some pad thai and spring rolls. It was the perfect light lunch, well, except for all of the peanut sauce I drenched my spring rolls in. :/

Thai food.  When good, makes you feel like you just got a good hug from a loved one.  When bad, it's like that irritating sh@t head of a sibling that won't leave you alone until you've got nuthin' left!

Silk Thai is like a good hug.  I came here with my arch nemesisises, Ms. C.  We both really liked this place.

The decor is pretty decent, but nothing super special that you wouldn't see elsewhere.  Dimly lit dining area seems to soften any mood.  I appreciate that.

We had a couple of appetizers:  The fresh spring rolls with shrimp and the Mee Krob.  The spring rolls were clean and fresh tasting; very light.  The mee krob was something I hadn't experienced before.  Crunch sweet noodles with fried tofu.  Really quite tasty.

My favorite item is undoubtedly the Tom Kha Kai chicken coconut milk soup.  Here it was the right combo of spice and tang.  Very good.  Ms. C wanted to order the mid level on the spice of our food.  Which was a good call; I really enjoyed the meal.  Generally I get as hot as they will make and suffer through the meal.  Don't ask me why.  I'm not terribly bright.  You don't agree?  I bet on the Buffalo Bills three times on the superbowl.  If that doesn't tell you anything about my lack of mental acumen then you have more problems than I do.

Our dinner was the Pad Kee Mao and the Mussamon Curry, I think.  Both were good and not at all heavy or rich.  Both dishes were very flavorful.  I hadn't tried teh Mussamon, but it's really good.  It's a basic dish, reddish in color.  There's a strong coconut milk flavor mixed with peanut and potato.  Honestly very surprisingly simple and good.

Dessert was the mango sticky rice.  Mmmm.  This place prepared it better than I've had elsewhere.  Warm, tasty goodness.

All in all, it was a good dinner.  Probably would have gotten five stars had my company not punched me in the face.

My friend Alex V and I are on a quest to try some new (to us) OC restaurants together and last night Thai Silk had the honor of popping our experimental restaurant  "cherry", and boy did she do a good job! She is like an experienced lady of the night, ready, willing and eager to please, yet cheap enough to not  to break the bank. She is spicy, sweet, mouthwatering, and sexy. I couldn't have asked for a better restaurant to be my "first". Plus the company I had didn't hurt either (except when I punched him in the face).
Here is everything we ate, in order of my most favorite to my least favorite (but they were all really good). FYI-everything is fresh and you can tell they use high quality ingredients.

Tom Kha Kai Soup(Coconut Chicken soup):
Oh, how wonderful this soup is. I could eat it for every meal. I could drink it with a straw while I bathe in it.

Mussamon w/Chicken:
this was the first time I have had this dish and it won my heart. Very creamy, delicate flavor, kind of like a light peanut curry with potatoes, onion and carrots. So So good (Damn you, now my mouth is watering)!

Sticky Rice with Mango:
this was a virgin dish for me too. It didn't look too pretty, but sometimes the weirder it looks, the better it tastes! I always thought "whats so great about rice with Mango?", until I finally tried it. What a fool I was! It is not simply just rice-it is topped with sweet Coconut cream and served warm with delicate Mango slices on the side. This was an orgasm on a fork for me.

Fresh Spring Rolls (shrimp):
delicate, beautiful, healthy and fresh. I like that how they use both mint and basil inside and the peanut sauce that comes with them is very tasty! PS- Way better than Brodards Spring Rolls!!!

Pad Kee Mao:
very good, I enjoyed the flavor and the consistency of the noodles

Mee Krob (crispy tamarind glazed noodles with friend tofu):loved it, but it kept sticking in my teeth and I think I might have a cavity...

Lucky me-I have leftovers to go home to tonight!
Dont be jealous-go get some for yourself!
(only thing that I didnt like was the cheesy track lighting-I suggest softer uplighting to give it a sexier feel)

This place has decent thai food but I wasn't really that impressed.  Friendly service and parking was abundant for this restaurant.  I will probably come back if I'm around the area, but I wouldn't take the drive from where I live to eat thai food here.

I'm originally from CT and used to visit a highly regarded Thai restaurant regularly so I like to think I know what good Thai should taste like.  As soon as I moved to SoCal I immediately had to find a new place to visit.  Fortunately Silk Thai is right up the street from me and was the first place I tried.  I religiously order a Pineapple Curry  every week at spice level 8 and the flavor and spiciness is fantastic.  Even if you are like me and enjoy the hottest of foods, I never recommend going past spice level 8 as they just add more pepper and it drowns out the flavor of the dish.

The staff are very friendly and even on busy weekends it never takes more than 10 minutes to get the food.  I normally take out and have not eatin in yet, but thats only because I'm lame and don't have a girlfriend.

I think the service is definitely A1 here. Their curry is a little too sweet for me but I like their crispy rice appetizer, beef krapow with basil and their drunken noodles (ask for no lettuce!). You're supposed to indicate spiciness by number (1-10) but I noticed that no matter what number you choose they all taste the same. So if you don't do spicy go with "zero" instead of 1, 2 or 3. The restaurant is clean and presentation is nice. It's semi-fine dining except that we locals come in flip flops and shorts, totally ruining the ambiance.

I was staying at the nearby Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa and my friends and I decided to go out for dinner. I found it highly rated on Yelp so had some high expectations when I went there. I was extremely disappointed. I bought dinner for 10 people and they all said it was ok but I was very disappointed with my dinner special and my wife's dinner special. Although I don't drink alcohol, I thought it was cool that they had a dinner special with choice of beverage (house wine/thai beer/thai sake). $15 for alcoholic drink, small eggroll, cup of soup, and entree is not bad for Orange County. They didn't have choice of pad see ewe or pad thai on the dinner special. How do you not have 2 of the most popular dishes on the dinner special?  So I got the krapow and my wife got the yellow curry. My wife's yellow curry was way too sweet and my krapow was very bland. Much better thai food in the inland empire where I live.

I went here for my birthday and they were very accommodating. We had a large group and some of us came late and they didn't mind at all. It was GREAT service.

For my birthday, the restaurant treated me to ice cream and they even gave me a neat little birthday gift.

That night I tried the red curry, pineapple curry, beef fried rice, and eggplant and tofu. All were delicious and I'm definitely coming back to this restaurant for my next Thai food craving.

I'm happy I have this Thai option nearby and like to go with a few people so that we can get lots of stuff to eat. Usually I go for the following:

Crying tiger
E-san sausage
Mussamon curry with beef
Nam sod crispy rice
Num tok beef
Tom yum gai
Yum nuea

And of course mango with sticky rice for dessert...

BEST SPRING ROLLS IN THE WORLD, hands down.
iced coffee rules too.
OH!
and the pineapple fried rice (not too spicy) and pineapple curry (sooo deliciously spicy) are crucial to any silk thai experience. eat them all.
the place is always immaculate. the service is impeccable. the take-out is quick, easy and discreet.
love it.

Hubby got a recommendation for this place from an acquaintance so we decided to check it out last night. It's kind of upscale mom and pop, with nice understated asian decor but by no means chi-chi. The dinner crowd was light on this Monday night, so we were seated right away. I liked their little Thai glossary/pronunciation guide on the inside cover of their menu--cool! Everything looked pretty standard; all your Thai favorites are here. They had a pretty extensive dinner special menu: a salad, appetizer, entree, beer or wine and dessert starting at $13.99 (depending on what kind of meat you get with your entree). I opted for the yellow curry dinner special with chicken and the hubby got the massaman curry dinner special also with chicken. They ask you how spicy you want it on a scale from 1 to 10. I said 7, hubby said 6. We both thought it was a pretty good indicator of the level of spiciness; we liked how it came out.

The service was prompt and very friendly--we got our salad and drinks in short order. My Singha beer came in a nicely frosted mug, and while the salad was nothing to write home about (romaine lettuce, carrot slivers, cucumbers, tomato slices), all the veggies were nice and fresh. Our dinner specials came on one big plate, our curries in a separate bowl with two generous scoops of jasmine rice (you can opt for brown) and two little cream cheese wonton things that I guess were the "appetizers." My yellow curry was great; good flavor, consistency, with very tender pieces of potato and generous helping of white chicken meat. The hubby was similarly impressed with his curry, and it turned out to be the perfect amount of food, with no leftovers. I was thinking of ordering their fried banana egg rolls for dessert, but I'd forgotten that it was included with our special! We got 4 small rolls with a dipping sauce, but I must say that it was the only disappointment of the night. The bananas were underripe, so there was that unpleasant unripe banana flavor, and a couple of the rolls seemed under-fried, also. The dipping sauce was OK (I couldn't tell you what the flavor was), but since the rolls were subpar, it didn't help much. A good place overall, and if we're in the area and craving Thai we'd definitely come back.

I had my birthday dinner here and it was perfect. The only thing I didnt care for was because of the size of our party there wasn't anywhere to put our menus, but that was a small thing.

The food was amazing. Everything complimented each other perfectly. The Tom Yum Gai soup was a delightful blend of sweet, sour and hot. It all complimented each other perfectly. The Pad See Yue was the best I have ever had.

We were constantly amazed by the food.

Nice calm quiet atmosphere. Good Thai food. Wait staff was good. Prices are reasonable (IMO). Ate there with my friend. Had some yellow curry soup with veggies (darn-sorry cannot remember which one...). Also drunken noodles and some dish comprised of chicken w/ veggies (bamboo shoots, green onion, carrot) and ordered at level #6 on the "spicy" scale. Oh, and cannot forget the Jasmin rice. Soo good :) we also got brown rice, which I love, but nothing special done to it. Like Maria T. said 'don't let the strip mall facade fool you' So true!

I have only eaten here twice, and based on those visits... have no particular desire to return, since I have found other thai restaurants that I feel are far better. I'd be willing to try it again, it was just not that impressive.... I pretty much agree with Margie, but it wasn't one star bad either-lol

Response to:
Hey Chas,
Yer right, I have never been to thailand, So I cannot base my experience on authenticity....I can only can base my experience on flavor, and what they served me two times was about 2 stars good, so if you want to get mad about the experiences I had..... that's your brain damage.  Yet I still stand by the fact that there are  thai restaurants out there that serve food that have better FLAVOR, which is the reason why I am eating..to enjoy the flavor.....
Maybe you should just worry about your own opinions instead of lashing out at others---they can write reviews based on what they experienced at the restaurant, just like you wrote about yours.  I'm glad yours was so good, but what can you say about the food I recieved, if you weren't even there?????  not a whole lot, huh?

Oh yeah......... Chas...have a great day!

This place is awesome. What really impressed me was the service.  I swear the service was impeccable.  They took our orders in a orderly manner. The food came out just in time. They kept refilling our drinks without us saying anything.

The food was good too. I got a half bbq chicken with rice. the bbq chicken wasn't just bbq chicken, but it was spicy too. they made it perfect.

This was my first time here but I expect to come back in the future.

I LOVE this Thai Place...

The beef satay is flavorful and melts in your mouth, the pad thai is pretty authentic from what I know of Thai cuisine and the mango/sweet rice dessert is sometimes a guest star in my dreams.

I'm trying to figure out why some people thought the food was bland. I've always found it to be quite flavorful. The only thing I can think of is that they are ordering level 1 spice... and well... I would say there is an appropriate level of spice and may not be met at level 1. But what do I know? :)

I've been to about six other Thai restaurants, but when I went to this one last week for the first time, I was blown away.

First of all, the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.  I also thought the restaurant itself was comfortable and inviting.

The pork satay was absolutely delicious, and the spicy fried rice was wonderful, though a little too spicy for me because I was sharing it with my brother and he likes it really really spicy.  I think the heat scale is from one to ten, so the restaurant caters to a variety of tastes.  The pad thai I ordered was also good because the shrimp was tender (sometimes they're hard as bullets) and the chicken pieces were of good quality.  I've been disappointed by pad thai several times, but this one was probably the best I have ever had so far.

Best of all, the price isn't too expensive.  We had plenty of leftovers and it was a little over fifty dollars for three people.

I have never been to Thailand so I'm not sure what authentic Thai food is supposed to taste like, but this place is awesome.
