Review from ChRiS C.
Walnut, CA
Let's take this back, waaaay back, back into time.....when my brothers and I ruled the local basketball court here at Sierra Vista Park in the late 80's to early 90's. We would take on anyone for 3-on-3 pick up games every afternoon and would win quite a few games, and get into fights with the sore losers. We also used to play tennis here or chase each other in the playground, or spend afternoons hitting softballs out in the field and try to see who can hit the ball the farthest. We would also come to this park during summer and let our dogs run around and then we would take advantage of the free lunch the city provided for the local kids, which was usually a sandwich, chips, and a small box of milk or orange juice...but hey it was free!
Sadly those days are far gone, but this park will always be a part of our childhood and all the happy times we spent here, and the bond my brothers and I shared growing up. -
Review from Winnie L.
Monterey Park, CA
At least half of my childhood park experiences reside here. I live not very far from here and would go there everyday with my dad and sister to play at the park. The park is rather small compare to say the Barnes park but I like smallness of it. The grass is green and well taken care of and I love going round and round riding my bike or roller blades. I still come here often, usually with my dog. It's a great place, especially for the elderly. They have a recreational center off of Rural and they have an outdoor basketball court and a tennis/badminton court. The children's playground isn't that great, even though they've been redone a few years ago, but I'm not there for that anyways.
