      1) With a $20 order, they will deliver ( 3-mile radius )

      2) Casual setting, good food & decent people.

      3) Averages $12-$15 per person, Not bad.

      Summary:
      - Food - decent homely cooking
      - Service - friendly and fast
      - CASH only!

Siam Buathong is definitely another mom-pop-shop that made it to my pigeon list for lunch spots in the area. I never really noticed this place and this was another yelp-affiliated spots that I found when finally trying to dine somewhere new.

The food is Thai-Chinese but in the home-style sense. The menu is extensive and it really surprised me considering how tiny this place is! Maximum patronage (by seating) is about 24 people.

While the looks of the restaurant is definitely towards the lower end of the design spectrum, don't let it fool you when it comes to the food. At less than $10 per person, those that don't have much time for lunch would consider this place a spot to visit for a quick meal that settles well in the stomach.

The lady owner is sharp in a sense and very straight-forward. I like how she resembles the mom of a friend who just wants to make sure you get your food without the BS prep-BS-talk that usually takes place before. Here, you order, sit down, and STFU and eat. It works, lol.

As for location, the initial address on yelp threw me off on the GPS. It is in the same compound as the laundrymat and diagonally across 99cent store (which is very easy to spot).

      FOOD:
      - Yellow noodle soup (http://s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/WDHEDUDf47dRDx5ZfFttqA/l.jpg) - it tasted just like how my friend's mom made it a few years ago. The noodle-infused-soup flavor was welcoming to the palette and warmed my stomach on a cold day. It was towards the saltier side but I found it towards my liking.

      - Spicy egg noodle (http://s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/7LnmjwBi5g-9GTNOFEOA_w/l.jpg) - at first, I was wondering why it would be labelled spicy when there was no fire to the taste buds after a few spoonfuls. Yet, the surprise set home when the after-taste of the spiciness kicked in and led to quite a surprise in the heat on the tongue. True, I may not be able to contain as much spice as most people nowadays but when my coworker, who loves his chili, made the same comment, I knew I wasn't daydreaming anymore.

Best Pad Thai I've had in a while, the Tom Kah & Spicy Thai Basil where also delicious. Free Thai tea refills & free tapioca with your check. Got 10% off for checking in on Yelp. The staff was friendly and quick to service. They brought my son special utensils and plates, that's always a plus. The place was small and they need more staff but with that said our experience was great. Definitely will be coming back.

Was craving some pad thai and was running errands so did not have much time. Noticed this tiny corner Thai place and decided to give it a try..
Totally exceeded my expectations and it is almost always the case when it comes to Asian restaurants.
I ordered the chicken Pad thai lunch with friend rice (7.95, or $8.70 with tax)..
SO good. The tamarind flavor on the pad thai was JUST right and not overpowering. The rice was yummy and it came with a salad, egg roll and fried wonton. All items were fresh tasting ( and usually all it it takes is a first time with pad thai to know if place is good or not).
The place itself is small so not good for big groups. One lady works the counter and she is pleasant. Very clean and an extensive menu with good prices.
I cannot wait to come back and try other items on their menu.

      Great specials!

      Updated review

Update is a #laterpost because I didn't finish my review last time and finally taking the time to finish it...

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

Ordered for delivery and after over one and a half hours... food still has not arrived. I called the business to check on the order. They said 20min. One hour later, I call again to cancel and the person who answered the phone didn't even wait for me to speak and said "it's on the way" and hung up. Bad service. Not ordering for delivery from this place again.

Update: this place DOES NOT DELIVER. It turns out the delivery person nearly knocked down the door at my house - a neighbor saw them and called me to make sure my family was OK. I left after waiting for their delivery because their delivery time was well-beyond reasonable delays. I find my phone blown up with calls and texts. I finally answered and it was the delivery person - I explained that I had already left to find food elsewhere and had already called the restaurant twice - the last time to inform them to cancel the order. She states that the restaurant called her to be their "emergency delivery person". I explain the situation and she yells "do you want the food or not?" ---- A restaurant who claims they deliver but relies on emergency delivery people (who are rude) should probably not be in the delivery business!...

And why is the restaurant blowing up my phone now?... this is harassment, people!

So yesterday was my first time at this restaurant, and I have to say that I was very impressed with their quality of food. For such a small place, this is truly one of those diamonds in the rough you hear so much about. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to have lunch with my dad yesterday after my workout as I rarely have that opportunity, and our risk for adventure came with great reward as this place was clean, fresh, well air conditioned, and cared for by excellent host. I hope to come back here again soon.

If you want authentic, home-made Thai food that you can get when you're in Thailand, you need to check this place out!

It's a hole-in-the-wall, Thai restaurant located in Pico Rivera (yes, a hidden gem in a mainly Hispanic community)! It's owned by the cutest, elderly Thai couple. I was fortunate to have been introduced to this amazing place by my friend who brought along her Thai friend who ordered these special, off-the-menu, dishes for us!

      Ambiance:
-The decor isn't great.. but definitely feels like I'm dining at their home. The lady is really friendly and has a cute smile. Her husband is the chef.

      Food:
**Chicken Fried Rice - Really tasty! It's nicely flavored and seasoned. Doesn't taste like Chinese fried rice.

**Chicken Peppercorn Dish - Really tasty! A bit spicy, with a nice bold flavor.

**Egg dish - Delicious! Pan-fried egg omelette.. filled with pieces of chicken and other yummy things

**Ho Mok - The BEST dish of all! It's basically chunks of fish steamed in this Thai red curry "custard" with basil leaves.. all wrapped in banana leaf! Apparently, this dish needs to be ordered about 1-2 days in advance so they can gather all the ingredients and prepare it in time when you get there. SO GOOD!!

**Tofu and vegetable dish - simple but good! I think it's fried tofu or beancurd.. not sure what it was.. on top of slices of Chinese broccoli

      Parking:
-plenty of parking in the plaza

I am definitely coming back and I wanna try one of their noodle soups next time! :)

      FYI, Cash only!

Update: The Egg Duck Noodle Soup is on the menu, my bad...and it's still delicious! :)

      ===================

A very cute and small Mom and Pop restaurant where the taste of their Duck Egg Noodle Soup takes you back to the streets of Thailand. It's not on the menu and sometimes you have to call ahead to make sure they didn't run out.

I went there with my family and after sitting in the car listening to my Dad rave about how this Duck noodle soup reminds him of living in Thailand, we had high expectations. We also order the Spicy Chicken Mint Leaf (in Thai it's called "Gaa Pat-Ga-Pow"), the Spicy Pork Forest (Moo-Paa-Pat-Pett) and Thai Style Scrambled Eggs with Chicken was very good (all things we ordered were not on the menu).

The husband and wife owned business are extremely friendly and make great authentic Thai food (I can't vouch for the rest of the menu we only had 4 things, but everything we tried was very good). I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! :)
