Kind, courteous, professional. Needs to improve communication.
During our first install he drilled holes in our marble shower in the wrong place. He offered us a discount to make up for the error. At the same time, he quoted us for all 3 bathrooms in our home. When we finally had the money to complete the project, we happily called Chris back.
Unfortunately the approval process wasn't clear and lead to a misunderstanding, which in turn lead to us losing our contractor!

I originally quoted this project on 01/17/2009, so to make a case that I am somehow slowing down the installation of your shower door is pretty absurd. It's not like I haven't installed a shower enclosure for you before... I required a down-payment then as well. I am going go ahead and pass on this project.
Our response:
Of course I'm completely shocked by your email. I've never been fired by my service provider before.
It's important for me to clarify that at no time did I indicate that YOU are slowing down our installation. My frustration is that with each email exchange you have requested something new that wasn't asked for previously. First the deposit, then the signed agreement.
I have NO problem with your down-payment policy. It was simply the fact that you waited until we were so far down the road to clarify this, especially after committing to a two week install.
Again, if you look through the last several emails between us, even when we were talking bypass doors, you didn't request the deposit before ordering the materials.
I can only hope that our exchange will help you with other customers so you don't have to fire them too!

Our shower door is now like a piece of artwork! Chris made our sad-looking shower into something beautiful, and has great taste. He did an excellent job and I would recommend his work over and over again!

Chris Phillips, owner of Showcase Shower Door Co. is a total class act!
We have had the pleasure of working along side him on a couple of high-end projects in Santa Cruz. It was not only a pleasure to see his quality work in action (bringing old glass back to life again), but also to personally witness clients happy as clams.
Quality work at a reasonable price, and a great guy to work with to boot, why would you go anywhere else? -

Chris did a great job replacing our old, rusty sliding shower doors with a modern, frameless set. What a difference! Ours was a small job, in a small bathroom, but he gave us great customer service and made the whole process quick and painless. The new doors are beautiful. We are so glad we went with a local contractor instead of a big box store.

I had Chris from Showcase Shower Door Company install a new shower door,, actually it was a enclosure to a large walk-in shower in our master bedroom. WOW this is so cool, I LOVE MY NEW SHOWER DOOR!! Chris is a master and his door is beautiful and really made the bathroom POP! I highly recommend him to anyone who would like to dress up their bathroom!! Duncan M.

Professional service and knowledgeable. Chris's experience enables him to create the door to suit your project. He thinks outside the box and is up to date on trends and the latest options enabling you to create a bathroom shower that is a cut above. He handles the entire job eliminating the scenario of ordering a door from one person and another installing the unit while mentioning "you could have done this differently!" A True Craftsman! Chris Phillips is passionate about glass. A shower door is for a lifetime. It is something you will enjoy (or not) for many years. You owe it to yourself and to your nearest bathroom to call Chris. I recommend Chris EMPHATICALLY to all my clients.
