About the Business
Overview The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies is a fully accredited bachelor's degree program using distance learning methods to accommodate the needs of the returning adult student whose lifestyle or circumstance prevents attendance at traditional on-campus courses. Employment, family, or community obligations need not keep adults from completing their university degrees. Interdisciplinary Studies students fulfill all academic requirements and meet the standards of educational quality characteristic of the University of Wisconsin system. Most requirements are completed off-campus. Interdisciplinary Studies students gain the liberal arts skills which enable them to manage people, information, and products. Students may acquire transferable skills such as information management, design and planning, research and investigation, communication, human relations and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and problem-solving, management, and administration. Students attend half-day Saturday classes once per month and work independently between classes. Some classes are offered online, or through audio and videotape. Independent Study courses require meetings with the faculty and individual appointments for some subjects.
