I live in Chicago and so many people say to me, "why should I schlep to the suburbs to shop? I can get everything I want here." Well, true - but you'd have to go to at least 5 different stores to come remotely close to the product assortment Shirise carries. It's only 15 miles from North Avenue beach; if you go on the weekends there's hardly any traffic.
The quantity & quality of the brands Sherrie carries make it WELL worth the trip. She carries all the names that you usually only find at places like Neiman's or Saks (Pedro Garcia, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Balenciaga, Me & Ro) and has tons of selections within each designer's line. (For example, she has at least 12+ styles of Balenciaga bags and more than 15 styles of Pedro Garcia shoes!!!)
Her sales are excellent: I purchased a beautiful pair of this year's Prada flat boots for 60% off! She also has a great selection of the latest cashmere wraps & scarves, and of-the-moment jewelry.
I think the salespeople are really helpful and they know their product lines. This is the kind of good, old-fashioned service you used to get at your favorite department store.
(Now if I could only get her to open a store in Chicago......)
I've never been to the shop in person, but I ordered some Jimmy Choos over the phone. Fantastic customer service, great price (they were having a sale).... what's not to love?
A mecca for shoes! Robert Clergerie, Marc Jacobs, and Cole Haan round out an excellent selection of domestic and international designers. They also have frequent sales and promotions. Some accessories, but show here for shoes.
unbelievable selection of shoes!!!! very pricey, but worth every penny.... they have sales, though, that cut 50% or more off the price. i think the selection is better than that of neiman's and saks', and the store is small enough that the experience isnt overwhelming.
