I absolutely LOVED my experience with Sylvia of ShipShape! Wow. The 2-hour consultation changed my life!
I was letting paper clutter effect my life, my attitude, and overall happiness level. The papers were absolutely ruling my life.
Not any more!
Sylvia quickly showed me how to deal with the paper stacks that were all over my house.
Now there's order...and I am LOVING it!
I can't wait to hire her back to help take me to the next level of organization.

I've worked with the crew at Ship Shape on two occasions- a few years ago as we made plans to pack up a house in preparation for staging and selliing, and most recently, ShipShape answered a desperate plea for my work office.
Within four hours, Sylvia and Christine had partnered with me and each other in going through those dreaded piles, long forgotten stacks of paper hidden away in those cavernous lateral files ('coffins for paper as Sylvia calls them) and had them sorted. They have sold me on the concept of "going vertical" for projects, organizing like with like, and shared some great Google tools for managing multiple personal calendars for personal schedules and community work.
I'm about three weeks "out" from the original sort day, and my office remains just as organized and clean as it did the moment they left.
Thank you ShipShape! I'll be calling you again! -

I truly believe that there's a gene for organizing (disproportionately prevalent among Germans) that I am completely lacking. My home office was so chaotic even Buster the cat hated to go in there and use his kitty litter box. Enter Sylvia and crew - after a day of sorting, filing, recycling and tossing, my office is a thing of beauty. I now spend an inordinate amount of time just gazing in the door, admiring their handiwork. But they don't just organize spaces, they provide customers with systems to maintain the organization once they've finished their work. Deb and Sylvia and their handy helpers will organize offices, garages, help with moves, you name it. Worth every penny.

Fabulous. Resourceful. Responsible. I have mail phobia and have too many unfiled piles........ Sylvia is the monthly Miracle Department - she's unbelievably fast and accurate..... and opinionated, and really good at helping me stay on top of my stuff!
They are unintimidated by anything. Nothing scares them, is too hard, or too messy. They just handle it. They can lift the weight off you, remove all guilt, and cut through the crap! Call them.

History
Established in 1984
ShipShape is a partnership between Deborah Silberberg and Sylvia Borchert.
Deborah Silberberg started working with individual clients 25 years ago. Initially, she focused on bookkeeping and financial management. However, being a problem solver at heart, she soon found herself offering additional services like organizing a closet or a garage, setting up a filing system, or helping with a move. Sylvia Borchert joined the company in 1994, bringing an extensive background in event planning. Together they have expanded ShipShape into a full-service organizing consulting company, with offices in Oakland and New York. They work with a team of professionals with varied backgrounds in areas such as art, catering, computers, design, and office management.
ShipShape has been featured on HGTV and NPR as well as numerous publications including The San Francisco Chronicle.
