went to Shima last night with a buddy despite some of the reviews I had read on other sites. Consider myself a Sushi fanatic especially in Portland. Frequenting the sushi establishments weekly. It was excellent. very nice presentation and generous portions for a great price. Had two rolls including a calamari roll, four piece sashimi. 24 dollars. The chef prepared other great looking dishes as i sat at sushi bar. Including mac and cheese with truffle. A seveche that looked insane. i say try it you wont be disappointed.
Everything about this restaurant reeks of class and style. Very quaint sushi restaurant in the heart of the old port. Presentation excellent! Food is First class and the wait staff very attentive. Definately put this on your list of restaurants to visit in the Old Port.
