3 reviews for Shilo Inn-Elko
Sleeping at the Shilo Inn proved to be impossible for both my mom and me because the walls are so thin we could hear everything down and around us. I can't imagine what it would have been like to *try* to sleep on the first floor.
Because I came here to sleep on the first leg of my "moving from SF to NY" tour I give this hotel one star. I paid for a night's rest and didn't get one.
The hotel itself offered a lot including: a pool, free breakfast, and a mini kitchen in our room (microwave, coffee maker, fridge). We only paid $50 so if the walls weren't paper thin I would give it three stars.

This place was pretty old looking, looks like the last time it had been updated was in the 60's. However the rooms were huge and it was fine for a short stay before getting on the road. You get a voucher for a free breakfast in the morning so that's positive. I've come to think in terms of "Would I take my Yelp Elite wife there?" and the answer is no. Would I stay here again if passing through, yes. At least I know what I'm getting into, and it's not that bad.

Weak performance, Shilo. As a weary traveler, you railed me for $101 bucks. Your TV was out, and your big selling point was the free breakfast at the spot next door (who I will soon give a solid four stars to!) - in the morning I was given a 'breakfast voucher' for "not more than $3.99".
There was a giant clump of (not my) hair in the bath tub as I showered which I thought was clogging the drain. Turns out, just slow drains.
Shilo of Elko would be a deal at $45 bucks. No more.
Two star accommodations at a four star price. Boo!
