prices were cheap as it was the beginning of off season. staff was friendly, but made a point of letting you know they were religious.
there were three cars in the lot and it was mid-week but the put us in the room farthest from the elevator.
food at the restaurant was mediocre, and they served seagram 7 when i asked for seagram v.o.,(there is a difference)
the pool area the pool had algae growing in the bottom and the vents had mold.
while it was one of the few hotels that actually faced the ocean, it is better to get on the beach and drive down it looking at the other ones for a better choice.
This looks like the largest hotel in Ocean Shores, and the rooms are quite large. But why does the whole place smell of chlorine? At first we thought it was because of the indoor pool & the fishtanks in the lobby. But even the hallway of our floor (3rd) smelled like chlorine!
The walls are very thin, too. At 1am, I was awakened by our next door neighbor. Not that they were vocal. I won't go into detail... but you just wouldn't think you'd hear these kinds of noises next door. I am just grateful my 3 year old did not wake up!
Though the wireless internet access is free, it's spotty. I was connected for about 3 minutes, then could not get a signal anywhere in our room. I called downstairs & the staff was clueless. The next morning, I got a strong signal, but once again, it didn't last long.
It's a decent, clean hotel, probably one of the nicer ones in the area. Then again, this IS Ocean Shores.. you shouldn't expect much.

I ran a conference here a few years ago and was not impressed. Food was mediocre, staff was pretty clueless, the workout room is in the lobby, wifi was uncooperative, and the conference facilities are in serious need of updating. My room had a great view of the ocean, but that's the only thing it had going for it.
