Yum! Cute restaurant inside of the inn. We sat near the bar, lots on tap and plenty of wines to choose from. View of the lake from the front. We sat right near the fireplace which was perfect on a cold fall day.
The food. AMAZING. We had wings, pot roast, french onion soup, the ceviche special and the pizza of the night. All were delicious.
Cool, old Hotel in a cool town along a cool road (NYS RT20). Two restaurants a casual pub that is good for lunch and a more formal dining room.
Lots of history. Bill Clinton used to vacation here before he left the White House.
Well... I tried to get in here for dinner one evening... the sign at the bar side said to wait to be seated. I waited, and waited, and waited. I walked into the bar... there were people there having dinner. There were people eating at the bar.... but no one to seat me. I peeked around the bar... there were employees talking. The bar and dining room were NO way near a quarter full. I guess they were not interested in my business. So I walked.

Found this place via the regional Entertainment coupon book.
It's a tastefully understated, but not stuffy place; wonderful for a quiet, cozy dinner for two. Food is excellent as is expected for this price, street view of Skaneateles Lake is a bonus.
We liked it so much, we came back a second time.
I was slightly disappointed in this place. I found the food too greasy, granted it was the fourth of July, so perhaps things were slightly rushed somehow resulting in 'over-greaseage'. I was expecting better food for their prices. I finished my meal with a coffee, which was also very disappointing.
