I've stayed here a few times on business and it's always been a pleasant experience. The beds are surprisingly comfortable and not overly springy and like most hotels they give you about 900 pillows. The room is always very clean and there is free starbucks coffee and tea in the room with travel cups.

Room service is quick and reasonably tasty. They even give you cute miniature bottles of condiments.

Unlike the poster below I've never had problems with the internet - I bring my laptop and watch streaming netflix without any issues.

We recently attended a wedding in Syracuse and when the reception was slated to be in this hotel, I'd have to be stupid not to book a room.

Unfortunately, all that was available was a 2-bed double room... but we made do. The bed were comfortable and the linens were new and fresh.

Room service was good and quick also, which we took advantage of for lunch. Pricing made it a well-worth-it option when we were watching football.

After the wedding, pizza delivery at 2am worked like a breeze also.

My only qualm is that since the building is shared, you have to continuously use your room card to get the elevator to work. Also, we almost got stuck in the parking-garage elevator.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the years as one of the conferences I speak at uses this property as a its base whenever the rotation brings them to Syracuse . The most recent  being this past Saturday.

I can not comment on value as the room was prepaid by the conference organizers and I have no idea what they paid for it.

The hotel is modern and clean, the rooms comfortable, and the beds are great! And, for the most part, are friendly and helpful.

But I have to say that's where the "good" ends.

We checked in fairly late Saturday evening. Get squared away and I attempt to get on-line to connect to my home computer to get some updated numbers for my presentation. Couldn't connect to their wireless system. So I call down to the front desk and ask for some tech support. The guys says he'll have somebody call me right back. 60 minutes later I'm still waiting so I go down to the lobby and apparently the evening staff left for the night without getting anyone to assist me or telling the night person anything about my request.

By this time it's 12:30 am and nobody is around to assist. However, she tells me that the hardwired jacks in the room should work so that problem was solved, sort of. There were some funky issues with the connection but I was eventually able to connect to my home machine and my 5 minute download only took an hour and a half! By way of apology, the night clerk offers me a free buffet breakfast the next morning for the wife and I.

So I do my presentation Sunday morning and head back over to the
hotel to have breakfast and check out. We go into the hotel's Rachel's Restaurant for breakfast. We are seat immediately as the place was fairly empty. The wait staff was attentive and fairly fast with beverage refills and clearing.

The buffet was visually appealing offering basic breakfast items: scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and french toast.

Unfortunately, that's where the appeal ended.

The eggs: barely warm with a strange taste. Powered maybe?  Bacon: COLD. Sausage: COLD. French Toast: COLD Completely unappetizing. In fact, the only hot thing I had was the English muffin I toasted myself.  And the wife said the potatoes were warm.

The OJ was good but the coffee terrible. Bitter and too strong (Starbucks).

Had I actually paid for that breakfast I would have probably been  more upset. Oh well, such is life.

We are back in the room and all packed up and as I'm calling down for a bellman the wife uses the restroom and it overflows when she flushes. So she throws down some towels I call back down to the desk and let them know. The bellman shows up and is in the process of loading our bags onto the cart when the maintenance guy (Andy) shows up, looks in the bathroom and storms out screaming something about "overflow" meaning that it's still running. Andy must have been reading his paper or eating his bagel and apparently didn't appreciate having whatever he was doing interrupted to, you know, do his job. I guess he also thought it would be a good idea to take his displeasure out on the guests.

Bottom line: If cold food and dealing with rude and obnoxious maintenance people is your thing, the Sheraton Syracuse  is the place for you.

Clean rooms, excellent location, great service, pool, gym, flat screen HD TV's with tons of HD channels, exceptional service room service. It's only open until 11pm but there are places right across the street that are open until 2am so it works out well. The bed are are super comfortable.

Ok - generally my impression of this place was good, nothing unusual. I was traveling with two family members so I had a cot sent up to our room so I wouldn't need to sleep on the floor. Now let me just say that I've slept on a cot or two in my day, but this cot was WORLD CLASS. Comfortable as can be. If I ever stay in this hotel again, i think I'll throw my bag on the bed and ask for a cot, even at extra cost.

Otherwise the staff was pleasant and the place was well kept and clean. Great view of the university from the higher floors.

Happy hours free wings & pizza
beer price is ok for happy hours. Pricier than other bars on Marshall St., but the free food part is awesome. The price after happy hours is ridiculous.

Not digging the night scene, too many old people.

I spend a few weeks a year at this Sheraton while in Syracuse for work and the hotel is usually the best part of the trip.

This Sheraton is the only hotel where I make it a point to get a room on the Club floor. The drinks and hors d'oeuvres definitely take the edge off.

There's a pool and a very small exercise room, but neither seem to get much use.

There's not much within walking distance other than Marshall Street, but if you're only in town for a few days this won't be a problem.

the staff was very friendly and great!  at least the girl who upgraded our standard king bed to a suite!!!  the BF asked for a discount cuz I wasn't enjoying my stay in Syracuse with his family!!!!  Well, let me just say ask for a discount for an angry GF and they just might upgrade you to a suite for free.

I like the fact that they allow their guests access to the internet for free if you had forgotten your laptop or free wifi.  they have a small section with computers and printers for their hotel guests to use.  it was all complimentary even the color printing!

they also have iced water and coffee set out for their guests in the lobby.  Rachel's restuarant was their room service provider...the pancakes were great, just how i like them.....crunchy around the edges.  i don't recommend the grapefruit cuz it was pre-sliced in half and was dried and not juicy.

my onther complaint is the hallway of the 8th floor...they need to blast the AC, it was a little stuffy in the hallway and wasn't a pleasant greeting as the lobby.

Rooms are actually nicer than one would expect -comfortable and easy to spend time working in. 42 inch flat screen TV is nice as well.

In room dining - get the Reuben - its damn good.

Service is also quite nice. this is the hotel of choice when in the area

Great location for visiting Syracuse. You realy feel like you are part of the campus. Food was OK, room was very clean. We had room service for breakfast and it was great.
