6 reviews for Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza
For the money, this is one of the most bang for the buck hotels I have yet to ever experience.
And that's not to say the service here is second-rate at all. All of the associates here seem to be in a jolly mood, even when you're tracking in a truckload of snow into the place.
The rooms themselves are very nicely appointed with really nice furniture accents. I also like the french doors that separate the room. If you are looking for a great hotel in the Plaza area NOT named Intercontinental, this is your spot.

Service was good, but this is probably the dirtiest hotel room I've stayed in ever. The bathroom was a mess, you felt like you needed another shower when getting out. Bed was somewhat messy and couldn't tell if sheets were cleaned, so opted to sleep on the sofa. Concierge did not know where the Kona Grill was, and we had to ask the cab driver who drove us the 3 blocks for free. Would hate to stay here again, but probably will since only Plaza hotel in Starwood Group.

New to Yelp so getting this review in late BUT, as the saying goes "Better late than never!" This was my last stay at a hotel so here goes. Myself and most of my family stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving 2007 and I could not have been happier. Unable to get booked in the Interncontinental across the canal, we settled in here and just as well. Located on Country Club Plaza it is arms reach of everything. The Front desk staff were great, wake up calls and all! The room, with french doors seperating the living room from the bedroom, was very nice specifically the bed and pillows (Kudos to housekeeping!) The meals were typical but by no means bad and I wish I could remember the bartenders name...he put up with the whole lot of us, and that ain't easy! Thank you Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza next time I am in KC I will stay with you.
Sitting on the northwest corner of Country Club Plaza, the Sheraton is a traditionally luxurious (not W-luxurious) choice with amenities galore -- 24-hour fitness area, indoor pool, outdoor pool with sun deck, covered parking garage ($9/day), whirlpool, laundromat, etc. Spotlessly clean, too.
On the Internet, we found a $260 suite for about $100, and enjoyed a king suite with two TV sets and French doors enclosing the bedroom. High-speed Internet available for $10/day. (Why is it that Internet is free in a Holiday Inn and costs $10/day in a $260 luxury hotel?)
Part of the fantastic Starwood loyalty program.

I work for hotels, so I am a tough critic. I actually work for Starwood so I got this awesome deal ($49/night and 50% off food & beverages in the hotel!!) So that alone made me super extactic, but I was really suprised when we were upgraded to a top floor room overlooking the beautiful, lush, green scenery of KC.
The concierge desk is super relaxed, but the concierge is all about his job; hooking you up with awesome deals and great ideas for the nearby nightlife.
A+ all the way. Oh, and the room was beautiful & very clean with tasteful lines.

Great location. Convenient to downtown, across the street from the Plaza, and close to Sports stadiums, The Sheraton Suites definitely fit the bill for what I was looking for in a hotel. Its not as luxury as other starwood properties, but definitely held up well. Big rooms with 2 doubles, so I can only imagine how much more space would be with a king. Front desk staff was very helpful with knowledge of the area and great suggestions for food and sites. A trip back to KC would definitely include another night stay here.
