This Sheraton was the home base for my festive night in OKC.  I got there after driving in from Dallas in my convertible...I was covered in sunscreen, wearing a hat over my sweaty hair, and just looking pretty hobo-ish.  Not a problem - the lady at the desk took my information and immediately got me into a room even though it was before check in time and didn't even give me the look up and down like I should probably be staying at a roadside motel!  Very nice.

Room was nice but pretty basic.  Shower had the round rod so that you have more room to move around in there.  Beds were comfy.  TV was big.  Coffee maker with Starbucks coffee.  Oh and their hairdryer was greatness - full size, not one of those little baby ones.

In the lobby they have a lounge area with a full bar and a restaurant plus a huge office center with a bunch of computers for your surfing and working pleasure.

Best thing about this hotel is that it is conveniently located.  It is just a couple blocks walk to Bricktown for your drinking and eating needs and also a couple of blocks away from the OKC National Memorial.  Good home base for a fun time in OKC!

I think we got the Hotwire rm: end of hall and 2 double beds and it said HTW on our key slip. $10/day for parking and no free wi-fi which was terribly disappointing. Breakfast at Aria Grill was okay- we chose the buffet which was best deal, $15/head incl coffee and juice. Large flat screen TV with bad picture quality. Beds nice and firm, not overly firm, with 10 pillows each. Location is okay. Would've rather stayed at Hampton Inn and Suites which is much closer to Bricktown restaurants/bars/canal. Also Hampton had great inside pool with fountain which was visible from street and Sheraton did not have an inside pool, only outside pool which was still covered on June 5  ?? Recommended only for business folks whose company is paying for rm service, parking, and rm.

This place seems to be undergoing renovations. I didn't hear any noises in the hallway but that may be due to the fact that they weren't doing any sort of work on my floor.

The lobby looks nice. It is decorated in warm tones and doesn't have glaring artificial lighting. The front desk staff was friendly and allowed me to check-in a few hours early. I ordered my room on Priceline yet they were still willing to try and accommodate my request for two double beds. I would have had to check-in later but I am grateful that the request on record and were willing to help me.

The room itself is nice. It's spacious (perhaps I'm comparing it to an NY hotel but still), the furniture is your basic dark wood, with blue comforters and normal hotel colors. They have Bliss products which smell wonderful. The bed is super comfortable and I looked forward to sleeping in that thing every night.

I ordered room service. The wings were meh but the sweet potato fries were a nice touch. They're not as crispy as regular fries but full of flavor.

You are a short walk from an area called Bricktown where there are several bars, restaurants, and a movie theater. I didn't get to try the food here but from the looks of the people and the decor in various places it looks like it could be a fun area.

Everyone I talked to at this hotel was super friendly and accommodating. They are truly what makes this a nice hotel. Now all they need to do is catch up on some minor repair work and finish the construction.

The only downside was the shower curtain. it was obviously time to change or wash that thing. It's some sort of cloth material and they need to be washed frequently in order to prevent mildew.

The A/C unit was louder than I'd like. I know they're not all whisper quiet but in comparison to the quiet in the hall and the city itself it can be distracting if you're a light sleeper.
