This Sheraton is not bad at all (I've stayed at worse.)  It's just off I-89 and places to shop are close by like the University Mall, Barnes & Nobles, Staples, Michael's, etc.  On a good day, you can walk to the UVM Campus and just wander...observe what college students are like these days.

The interior of the hotel is cozy and comfortable.  The pool house is neat.  We had no problems with the water temperature despite the December cold.

They have a breakfast buffet that has an abundance of food and a wide variety of it.  It is quite pricey though.  My suggestion is to get out of your pajamas and drive Downtown to a decent breakfast place like Penny Cluse or Magnolia Bistro.  You won't have to spend a fortune and you'll be pleased.

Stay here if you want a cosmopolitan feel.  Other than that, smaller hotel chains or B&B's in the area will do, for a lot less money.

I feel sorry for the people who did not have a good time here. My family and I travel a lot and I've stayed at a number of 3-5 star hotels. This Sheraton was comparable to all others I've been to.   We had a very comfortable stay. We spent a week and enjoyed everything the hotel has to offer -- the fitness area (stairmaster/treadmills have individual tvs), free internet station,  the restaurants, the pool (a bit too cold), the hot tub (not hot enough), and the consistent, friendly service. Perhaps it has been upgraded recently, but all furniture and decor was impeccably modern. The rooms were well cleaned. I would have given it a five were it not for the disappointing and overpriced meals.  There are several places to get amazing food for cheaper down at the Church Street Square. And I believe the Sheraton offers a free shuttle to take you there.

This is nothing but a Motel that tried to dress as a hotel!

The hotel has the strangest layout. I had to cross from one build to another, go up and down a set of stairs and then at the end of the hall.

I've never seen a hotel which has pipes going through the room or the hall. My room had a kitchen with a backed up sink, no coffee for the morning, the bathroom looked at if its been through too many years and too much abuse.

To say the food is mediocre would be a complement. Everything tasted like its been through the microwave.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel for anyone.

Rooms were clean. room service a little slow and they forgot a few things on the order but hey no biggee. My main complaint with this place is their in house restaurant "G's Restaurant". 3 of us stopped in for breakfast and got raped. $4 for juice?  That's ridiculous. I'd pay $4 for a juice only if Pamela Anderson squeezed the oranges between her breasts !!!!
I had an omelette, wife had two eggs with meat and my daughter had a bagel. When we left there we were $60 lighter.
My suggestion : Take a left out of the hotel and go straight about a mile and you'll find all sorts of breakfast places. We found this out too late.

Normally, I would not be reviewing a chain hotel.  Nor would I be doing it at 11:36 PM on a Wednesday night.  Nor would I be doing it in Burlington, VT but I feel it my duty to inform the world that this Sheraton does not care about its customers.

I travel to Burlington frequently for work and I've stayed at this particular location three times, 1) because I know where it is and I don't have to drive around to find it and 2) because I get Starwood points.  So the first two times I stayed here, I had no problems at all (the reason for the additional star).  The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, the service was prompt and its located right off I-89.  Perfect.

This trip up has been not so pleasant.  I was preparing for my trip to Burlington today as I received news that I had just been upgraded to gold Starwood status.  Great, I'm thinking better service.  I arrived at the Sheraton late this evening after a full day of work and a 4 hour drive from Boston.  I was checked in promptly and directed to my room.  I got in the room about an hour and a half ago at 10 PM and promptly changed into my PJs.  Having changed, I attempted to turn the TV for a little late night television watching.  Strange, the remote doesn't work, so being the lazy American that I am, annoyed I huff and puff over to the TV and turn it on manually.  OK, no biggie, I'll deal with it.  Finding my toes freezing a few moments later, I walk over to the thermostat to turn the heat up only to find that its broken as well!!  No remote I can deal with.  But no heat?  No way in hell.  So I promptly call the front desk and the phone rings and rings, no answer.  I proceeded to call four times until someone finally answered.  So I explain my issue to the front desk clerk who offers to send security up.  Umm, no, I am not waiting for the problem to get fixed at this hour.  I have an early meeting so I need another room, I explain.  She says she'll work on it and call me back.   I get a call 20 mins later explaining that she's very busy and she wanted to confirm if I still wanted a new room.  YEAH.  DUH.  Thats why I called.  Idiot.

Its been a half hour since that call now.  I'm cold and still waiting for a call back.  If you like your toes toasty, go elsewhere.
