11 reviews for Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel
I'm surprised by the low reviews on Yelp for this hotel because TripAdvisor will give you a totally different impression, and of course, visiting here will too.
We made an impromptu 24-hr trip to AC this weekend and being SPG Platinum members, booked ourselves at the Sheraton on the drive over.
We loved the fact that it was not a casino as we don't gamble, and that it was located away from the crowds of the boardwalk.
We also had complimentary breakfast in the club lounge, which was extensive and stayed open until late on weekends -
The front desk, concierge, lounge staff were all friendly. We just had one minor episode when the housekeeping lady knocked around 10am even though we had the DND sign hanging on the door, which apparently had fallen down and she didn't see...
It's located next to several good food options and the outlet stores, a 10ish minute walk to the boardwalk, and is private enough yet not too far from the action when you want it!

I stayed here again this month and I will say that I was not impressed at all. I typically stay with Sheraton Hotels when I travel and I do have a SPG membership with them.
Typically I stay on the SPG preferred floors, have free bottled water (instead of being charged $4 bucks for a tiny bottle), get free news papers etc...but this was not the case here.
I ended having an extremely late flight so I did not get to my hotel till around 12:30 am. I checked in fine but he gave me a room on the 2rd floor that smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. It was very late and I just went to bed.
They still do not have wireless in the hotel - but you can have an hour of free wireless on the 2nd floor each day. This seems odd to me. Again you can go across the street to the convention center and have free internet.
I order room service one night and put the try in the hall when finished.(around 8pm). The next morning when I was going to a trade show it was still sitting there and it was there when I came back to my room at 5pm. The maid even came and cleared my room but did not clean up the trays. It took them a full 24 hours to pick it up. The hallway also have some beer and wine glasses in the hall for a few days. This also happened with some of the other rooms as well.
Also - I had 2 Fed Ex boxes shipped to the hotel and they charged me $25 to my room for receiving them for me. When I checked at the front desk they informed me that was corporate policy and all Sheraton's did this. But, when I stayed the the Sheraton City Center in Baltimore they did not charge me for the Fed Ex shipments I received (same exact items as shipped to the AC Sheraton)
I really hope they improve this location since I have always been happy with my stays at other Sheratons.

I had to stay in Atlantic City for a tradeshow. I do not gamble and I am not a huge fan of Atlantic… Read more »
This review is BASICALLY about the breakfast buffet. We got to stay here for a pretty good discount, our room was fine, NOTHING to write home about. However, the breakfast buffet was a different story. We got 3 free breakfast buffets, however if you paid, it was a whopping $20+ bucks each! More than any other hotel/casino in Atlantic City. And o...m...g. It was so incredibly awful. Bugs were flying everywhere and everything was almost inedible. I had oatmeal and only oatmeal every day. There was barely a selection and it was all gross. YUCK. So horrible. Please eat your breakfasts elsewhere!

Stayed here last weekend using my SPG points and wasn't dissapointed. The hotel is directly accross from the Convention Center and the outlets. A short walk to Ceasar's. Great spot if you want a non-casino hotel.
I thought the room was great. The hotel has a miss america theme going on and even our room had a pic of a miss america in it. The closet was spacious. The bathroom was clean and the maid was in the hall when we arrived and was gracious about us taking extra towels!
The lines on a saturday nigth for check-in are lengthy, but they move quite quickly. The indoor pool reeks of chlorine, but the gym is really nice!
The beds are super comfy with really nice linens. I also thought it was a pretty quiet room for it being the saturday before super bowl sunday!
Tun tavern has mediocre food and beer, but the key lime pie martini is awesome!
Just avoid the restaurants and head for the casino's!
This hotel is totally average. It's pretty central, check-in was quick, and everything was pretty standard. We had just stayed at this really great Sheraton at Santa Monica and this one was just nowhere near that level so that probably caused some disappointment. But Starwood is always pretty solid so this place is 3-star a-ok.
Awesome hotel. I personally hate staying in the casinos, so I really enjoyed the walk back and forth each day. I got to walk through the outlet malls and shop, and I didn't get tempted to keep going to the casinos in the middle of the night since it was about a 10 minute walk to get there.
THE BED! Omigod the bed ... best sleep I've ever gotten. The room was simple, but elegantly done. Extra snaps for having two bath robes in the closet.
But oh, that bed was really something ...
yeah, pretty standard hotel. nothing special, nothing bad. rooms are fine. location is good, away from the fat asses along the boardwalk. however, the miss america theme gets annoyiing.
Pros:
-Large closets, bathrooms
-Kind and welcoming valet operators
-Helpful bellmen (told me all the things I needed to know about the hotel and gave me AC restaurant advice!)
-Indoor walkway to the convention center (helpful when it's windy and cold in December)
Cons
-Internet (wired or wireless) = $10 per day
-I have a down allergy and the hotel was unable to fully adhere to my request (no down blanket but there were down pillows on the bed).
I did not sample room service, but I hear it's great. It comes from the restaurant directly adjacent to the hotel, which was fabulous).

Good hotel, meets up to Sheraton's standards. I was first placed in a handicapped room and the hotel gladly moved me.
They do allow pets, which I found charming, but you may not.
Neat display downstairs with the costumes from Miss Americas gone by. Right next to the convention center.
Nice perk: Free limo shuttle to the casinos on Fridays and Saturdays.
Only downer is that parking is expensive, although I think that's typical for Atlantic City.
Went here on a annual meeting with my company and had never been to Atlantic City before. This hotel is one of the largest in the area and although it is not on the boardwalk, it is close enough to the action to give you a taste. The spot had been used for the Miss America pagents and throughout the hotel there are displays of past Miss Americas, crowns etc. It had wonderful convention/meeting rooms, so may you could get lost. Our company was over 1000 people and they all fit nicely in one of the larger rooms. The hotel rooms were very nice, and very large with all the ammenities. The location is set back from the boardwalk within waling distance and close to Cesaers Palace. There is a restaurant in the bottom floor which is Tun Tavern (I being a former Marine found this to be cool, since this is the birtplace of the Corps in nearby Philadelphia). That place is a bar/restaurant with nice decor and a fun place to drink and socialize. I enjoyed my short stay in this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this city full of expensive hotels. I would say it probably isn't cheap and can't really say since my company paid for it.
