I'm going to Pistol Whip the next person who says Shenanigans!
No seriously, folks, working in Brownsville, TX for a week can be somewhat of a drag. Why not get drunk and have a great time while you're in town, though, right?
Shenanigans is an Irish-Themed (even though loosely) pub in a strip mall. They've got a great jukebox, awesome live entertainment, plenty of LCD TV's, comfy couches in the back room, a big round table with high backed chairs... but my most favorite feature of Shenanigans is the 120 oz tower of beers.
For about $35, 120 oz (about 4 feet high) of delicious Guinness (or 24 other beers on tap) can be yours. Our party went through two of them, plus God knows how many rounds of shots (of which the incredibly hot waitress imbibed as well) to leave us all worthless by the end of the night. In fact, my poor co-worker had to pull the car over the *next day* on the way into the office!
The service was awesome -- Christi took incredible care of us all night. Even after we got a little out of hand, I was able to talk the manager into letting us stay (even though a bouncer wanted us ejected.)
The food is ok. I'd probably eat elsewhere because the selection just isn't that great.
Either way, if you're looking to get really smashed-ass drunk in Brownsville, TX.... get to Shenanigans. *pistol whip*
I've brought all of my fiances here at one point or another and plan to keep it up. This place is great. The countertops have probably never been cleaned, however, because your hands stick for minutes if you dont pay attention. There is no parking lot for this place so you have to park along the service road with your flashers on or else walk there. The jukebox is great but they only have six songs. The drinks are mad cheap though, with wells at 30 cents and 10 cent shots on Saturdays.
