Here's the go-to place for the best burger after hiking up here. It's as fresh and good as In 'N Out, with the grilled buns and fresh lettuce, onions, tomato, etc. And they can make it a veggie burger same way. Yes! It's a great burger stop at the Shell Gas Station.

Why? Why? Why?
The last review mentioned that the burgers at this Shell where just as good and fresh as InN'Out.....Boy is THAT a LIE!
The meat had this weird texture that didn't sit well with me after two bites I had to toss it.
My recommendation is ... If u are at this Shell station in Idyllwild JUST GET THE GAS but only if u have too.....the gas is VERY overpriced. -

Gas is overpriced, shamefully! The grille, offers decent fast food, but watch out re: your order, the owners grasp on the comprehension of English is always a gamble, and the chain-smoking, older female cook (believe there are two or three) is prejudice, culinary-wise. Let me explain. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with hash-browns on the side, but because I am dark skin and Caucasian/Latino mix, she decided I'd be happier with the breakfast burrito!! (despite the order receipt clearly spelling out what it is I paid for and preferred!) I made the mistake of complaining about the error, and when done over, the breakfast sandwich had the hash-browns tucked under the sausage patty. Defeated, I left with the erroneous order, without tipping, and ate my meal outside in the designated patio, only to watch her smoke three cigarettes in 5 minutes, returning to the kitchen without washing her hands. Gas up down the hill, and swing by your favorite fast food drive-thru. Sorry, Shell.
