This is a private club that has a several year waiting list to join.
However, it is available to rent for private events and it is a great venue for wedding etc. The staff, food, space and service are all top notch.

Some of the better burgers in the general area (and I'm a burger aficionado). Perfectly done. Also do a great filet mignon. The veal picata was terrible though. Other than that most of the food has been wonderful. The staff is always very sweet and attentive. Good wine selection, great martinis, lovely view of the course...
If you have a chance to go, I suggest you check it out. I'm a terrible golfer but had a lovely time chasing my golf ball from rough to rough. Immaculate course.
I was lucky enough to play here once when I was in high school. It blew my mind because it was so beautiful and so hard. At that point in my life, I sure wasn't ready for it and shot in the 90's. At the time, I was much better than that but face it, I choked big time.
It has tons of hills and valleys, tight trees that line the fairways and small, undulating greens that will drive you nuts. It is really on a beautiful piece of property, lined by huge homes with pools and well-maintained yards.
It is totally private and very difficult to get on, but if you are ever asked, say "YES". You will lose a lot of balls, get mad at yourself once or twice but looking back, you will have one of the best golfing experiences of your life.
Right off 280 and Sand Hill Road.
Note: PRIVATE CLUB
I just returned home from playing here for about the 10th time in five years. I've got some mixed feelings.
It's certainly a great course. It's also a challenging course at a 130 rating from the Men's blue tees. The majority of the fairways are lined on both sides by tall pine and redwood trees effectively making every tee shot a precision drive. Most greens are quite small with multiple breaks. Due to the topography, you are frequently playing uphill or downhill making club selection a challenge. This not a course for the faint of heart and certainly not for anyone who can't shoot at least in the low 90's on your typical muni. Bring extra balls. I'd recommend one ball for every three points of your index. (E.g. an index of 15 should bring 5 balls.)
The downside is the condition of the course. No later than the summer of 2007 they closed the course for a month and redid the fairways and bunkers. Unfortunately, both are in mediocre condition even after the work. There were countless burned out areas and literally more Ground Under Repair areas than I could count. I landed in a bunker on #3 and was blown away when I hit a great shot only to find out there was no more than 1/4 inch of sand on top of compacted dirt. The greens were in fantastic shape, however. Additionally, it's a very peaceful and nice trek.
The food in the clubhouse is fantastic as are the services, locker room and staff. If you can get on here, by all means do it. If you are wealthy enough to get a membership here, you've got way too much money!

I recently attended an event here and was impressed with the food which was served buffet style. The club was inviting and it seems like it would be a nice place to have an event. There was also a plethora of valets - that's what I call service.

This place is great-- tucked away behind all the Sharon Heights apt complexes and venture capital buildings, it's got a little windy road leading up to it and is quite a fun drive.
For a GCC, this place has amazing food. Last night had a dungeness crab gazpacho followed by a honey brined pork chop on a bed of spaeztle. Sharon Heights also has by far and away the best brunches anywhere.
