1 review for Shari's Restaurant
During my quick stay in Bellingham, I had an early morning breakfast at Shari's, which is open 24 hours. Shari's is similar to Denny's and Coco's. I was offered coffee as soon as I was seated and the coffee carafe was left at my table for convenience, a plus (Friendly's on the east coast does the same thing). The breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are served anytime here, but I was told soup was not available during breakfast hours. The homemade pies on display looked very good too.
I decided to stick with the breakfast menu. The stuffed hash browns with cheese sounded real good, but I went with the Country Fried Steak Skillet (diced country fried steak & skillet potatoes topped with peppers & onions, eggs, and white country gravy) served with a 3 stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes. I requested egg whites only and that request was fulfilled. The food was pretty good and I was very full from a very good lumberjack breakfast.
The service was acceptable with my food brought out to me in 10 minutes. I did finish off the coffee carafe, so I was pretty wired for my drive into BC, where I needed to stay very alert because I had some close calls with crazy drivers doing over 100 MPH on Hwy 99, not the 100 KM/H like their supposed to.
